Well said he didn’t need to look up to god for guidance or kiss his wrists or touch the turf before he came on he just let his boots do the talking RIP
They have special place in heaven for these ballon d'or winners. One day Cr#7 will go there too, the only remaining ballon d'or (still alive)in Manchester United's Hall of Fame.
As a Scotsman, it’s hard to put into words just how much Dennis Law meant, not only to the football world but to all of us who take pride in our heritage. Dennis was more than just a footballer-he was an embodiment of everything we hold dear about the Scottish spirit: resilience, passion, and a love for the game that burned in his heart. Watching him play for Manchester United, you couldn’t help but be in awe of his skill, his poise in front of goal, and his ability to lead with quiet authority. His goals were poetry in motion, whether it was a delicate chip, a powerful strike, or that iconic backheel against the old enemy, Manchester City. He didn’t just play football; he elevated it to an art form. But what made Dennis truly special wasn’t just his talent-it was his pride in being Scottish. He carried our flag with dignity every time he stepped onto the pitch, whether representing his country or wearing the famous red of United. Dennis was a man who knew where he came from, and that was something you could feel in every stride he took. He made us all proud. As we say goodbye to a legend, I find comfort knowing that his legacy lives on, not just in the record books but in the memories of everyone who had the privilege of watching him play. Dennis Law was, and will always be, a part of the fabric of Scottish football. Rest easy, King. Your place in our hearts and in the game will never be taken.
Denis was my first hero as a boy, he’s was the true king of Old Trafford. I met him once at Maine Road when he was working on television. Love you Denis, Rest in Peace
What a player he was, king of the penalty box, he'd snap up a goal from anything,....a true legend of the game and as a Manchester United fan Ifield like I've lost a family member, ...if there was a sharper finisher I've yet to see him ,....its a sad day for United , but the glorious memories of him in the famous red shirt will live on forever......Rip Dennis Law
Had the pleasure of seeing Dennis Law in the twilight of his career, playing for Manchester City against Saints at the Dell in 1974. He was probably the oldest player on the pitch but easily the sharpest. He scored a great goal and I’m glad I got to witness his talent.
Fantastic player, true icon, Dennis THE king. But also fantastic pundit, as a boy I grew up listening to him on Saturday afternoons football commentary on radio. His warmth , humour and insight were as high a standard as his playing. What a man.
A very sad day, i started to support United in the 60s when Law Best and Charlton were the trio, the height he could get up to for hes size, and a true gent of the pitch, how we could do with a striker of hes genius.
Rest In Peace Denis. I am a leeds supporter but more so a supporter of football. Denis was a great of the game, great player and by all accounts a top fella, loved by all who knew him.
Denis law I wish I got to see you play as a footballer my grandparents told me how amazing you was at football have fans truly amazed by the ability you carried. I would of appreciated seeing you're talent. It's a sad day to all of you're loved ones and all the Manchester United fans. R. I. P you legend may the high heavens protect you now.
🎶 I'd walk a million miles for one of your goals ...oh Denis 🎶 😢 I saw him. Watched him. Seen him score. Shook his hand, & now I shed tears ... oh Denis! 😢
Another sad day for Manchester United, l saw Denis Law score many great goals ,today's players couldn't play in the ground conditions he and his mates played in, rest in peace 🕊️
Met him in the 60’s when I was a youngster. He used to visit Bristol City player Gorden low, so we were lucky enough to meet Dennis Law in the summer. He was absolutely fantastic with us kids, something I’ve never forgotten. A true legend and a great, kind man!
My idol,my fav ever player for utd,it was denis that got me into utd ,i still have a plaque with his face on it ,thank you denis ,forever in my thought ,you were great ,❤❤❤

The word legend is used to describe players these days all too cheaply but Dennis Law is one of the few players in history to deserve this accolade. Rip 🙏
A savage on a mucky pitch....but with what grace with a ball at his feet or about his head and the goal mouth anywhere near.... what a wonderful ambassador for the beautiful game..... Denis Law, Rest In Peace......
He had two stints at Manchester City started at Huddersfield and his time at Manchester United . He was one of the few in those days to try playing overseas in Italy . As a Scottish international there were and are not too many better than him . Rip Denis Law .
As a City fan from the 70s I know him in the blue shirt. He also wore the blue shirt before the red shirt so to me he is and always will be a Manchester legend. RIP Denis Law. 💔💙
One of the greatest players ever, a great all round striker & one of the best players at attacking the box at speed & with his headers. One of the great personalities to that's been in football.
What a real player he was! Today’s players couldn’t even tie his laces. This is the skill we miss today

@@robertmclellan3658I'm assuming your comment had a point. No? Right then.
Congratulations on making it all about you Scots
@@OnlineEnglish-wl5rpWhat's your problem with it being about Scotland anyway, the Lawman was Scottish after all.
