I'm presently moving to a new place and in a box I saw old Dr. Who magazines. One had a lengthy piece on Verity Lambert another an interview with Terrence Dicks, whose novelizations I enjoy. Even though I watched some Dr. Who in the 80's when I was a kid on public television, it wasn't until the 2005 relaunch that I became curious and and admirer of the entire series, wanting to learn about its history and appreciating and liking the old episodes. I can't imagine the new Dr. Who having the same impact on new viewers.
