Always loved this song. She has such a powerful voice. Love Kelly. Something stunning to hear is Kelly's duet with Ben Haenow "Second hand heart" Love love that. Greetings from South Africa
So love Kelly Clarkson. Definitely check her version of "If I Only Had a Brain" from the original Wizard of Oz done in a way you've never heard before. I loved, loved, loved it! So different than what I expected and the reverb added just the right touch so that it sounds like a Bond movie theme. 🔥🔥❤. On a fun note, she did a hilariously great "Banana Boat Song" for her Halloween show dressed up as Beetlejuice. It was so good.
My only complaint was that it was too short as well. So good! KC is incredible! I recommend Kelly’s performance of her original song Meaning of Life live at the Nashville Sessions. That’s a really good one!
Yes, this was recent... yesterday's TV show. Kelly has that well inside her where she can reach deep down emotionally, and be cathartic with the lyrics, whether they're sad or happy. I'm sure this song was personal for her, given her life growing up... as she wrote in her song you recently reacted to, "Piece By Piece." I love that, like Barbra, she doesn't overuse those money notes like so many singers do... she places them, as you pointed out too, perfectly to enhance, not to impress. That's class! Will be sending more Kelly your way... thanks for a great reaction. 😊
the held belts on this were so funnn if you're curious about her most recent solo work is the 'chemistry' album she has sang all the base album live at some point but i think 'lighthouse' kinda gets the idea of the album across pretty well (it being in my top favs from it but i really liked all of the songs so lol)
Kelly is the greatest vocalist of our time. She has every gift of technique and every colour to her vocal pallette. An incredible range - thrilling power, the tender weighty low notes, that insane belting range that goes from chest all the way to the top of her head - she has the prettiest AND most powerful head voice in the game. The ability to sing with added rasp or in the most crystal clear soprano - at her command. Her voice shimmers.... Kelly's name belongs in the same sentence as the all time great female vocalists. Whitney, Celine, Aretha, Kelly, Mariah.
This rendition was greatly abbreviated, as you noticed. This full song by Eric Carmen has himself playing piano and his expression singing the song gives the full meaning that is all but lost in this version. It seems this was more to express her vocal talents and range. Please on your own listen to the seven minute version Eric Carmen which includes a magnificent classical piano solo interlude.
Eric Carmen had the best version in my opinion… calmer, no singing at the top of their lungs … the original was sung as it was meant to be I believe.. good reaction though, as always! 👍👍
Yes., Eric Carmen had a huge hit with this in 1976. He took the melody from a piano concerto by Sergei Rachmaninoff, number 2 in C minor., first performed in 1900
Please react to Birdy, she is a singer who became a little bit famous for being on the soundtrack of "The Fault in Our Stars" and her voice is very beautiful and she has some well written and touching songs. I recommend the songs Surrender or Wings for a first reaction.
not the greatest quality but this is arguably celines best attempt at this song. super rare performance. check it out! th-cam.com/video/9i0TuFg9Jtw/w-d-xo.html
I'm sorry, but this vocal is not great. It's very screechy in parts. The arrangement is certainly not original, and all that overdramatic guitar playing is abysmal. Eric Carmen wrote and sang this song beautifully and with real emotion. Kelly is singing it to sound like she was trying to do vocal acrobatics in a bid to outdo Celine's version. Emotion is not about covering the scales but telling the song's story.
Yes, we all appreciate different things. The composer and original performer of this magnificent song has sadly died this year; however, Fil from Wings of Pegasus also agrees with the purity of Harry's voice. th-cam.com/video/cD5m3df0dSM/w-d-xo.html

This is actually an Eric Carmen song. Celine Dion did a cover of it. Kelly Clarkson did an amazing job!

Definitely want to explore more. Thanks for watching and the recommendation.
I commented the same one 😂 It’s a really great live performance of her doing one of her original songs!
And 'Move You'. That song is so underrated!
Yes please Saeed

Check out Kelly Clarkson and Faouzia video singing I DARE YOU in Arabic, that was during the Covid-19 epidemic.
Oh really? Awesome! Thanks for letting me know.

All of the Kellyoke pieces she covers are shortened for a place in her TV show.
She has an amazing library of full length songs of her own.

Try to check Charice Pempengco's cover "To love you more and All by my self" with David Foster, thanks!
As shes gotten older, her voice has gotten richer and more powerful. Try Kelly covering "Tin man" originally by Miranda Lambert.
Want more Kelly? Listen to the live version of her song 'Lighthouse'! It's stunning!
Please react to her latest - chemistry album - amazing

If you want to here the best version then see Charice singing this song with David Foster on the piano
She not look like celine dion
Maybe you should do some research about a song before you say something stupid like this. Eric Carmen did the original recording.
I actually knew that, but sometimes one forgets. It happens.
And maybe you should do some research about etiquette before you say something discourteous like this!

Couldn't disagree more, but hey... that's why...well, you know what they say about opinions...
You obviously didn't hear the story. So sad. SAL
@@thisgirlchris Not sure who this is addressed to, but what "story"?🤔

@@donnamentrasti2695 the personal "story" in her expression of the song. Her interpretation. Not everyone will relate, or feel it. That is ok🙂
