Sono fan dei Purple di più di 40 anni. Mi stanno accompagnando da tanto tempo. C' é chi dice che senza Lord e Blackmore non sono i Deep Purple. Morse é anche un mostro alla chitarra anche se al momento non c' é per stare vicino alla sua moglie che ha cancro. Tornerà. Un gruppo che nonstante l' età continua a fare bellissimi album. I saw D.P. in Hamburg! Simon McBride is one of the best guitarists I've heard and seen since Jimi Hendrix in 1970. He has technique and a lot of feeling! Great!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. Simon is a fine replacement for Steve, although I think we all hope Steve will be back sooner rather than later - perhaps they could both play. But the best part of this was seeing the band really enjoying themselves. They are peerless - consummate professionals and startlingly good musicians. They make it look easy, when, of course, it's not. Bless them all.

Although I will always love the old songs I do feel they should pick only the songs he finds able to sing them well that way he can save his voice , as the newer songs are more suited to his voice and way of singing these days , either way great gig 👍

Good to see the continuity of DP. Always having someone great replacing the predecessors. Steve and Simon are different from Ritchie but that's what we would like to see them (to be themselves).
Ottimo Concerto, per degli ultrasettantenni. Gillan in ottima forma e con molta tecnica per misurare la voce senza abbassare la qualità della prestazione (soprattutto con riferimento alle linee vocali originali) ... si ha quasi l'impressione chel a pausa Covid gli abbia fatto bene e che lo abbia fatto crescere e maturare ancora di più come cantante. P.S. - adoro Simon McBride, meno originale ma forse più opportuno dello stesso Morse che è un mostro, ed un grande artista, ma il cui suono e modo di suonare e riffing non mi ha mai entusiasmato a mille (P.S., no non rimpiango Blackmore e rimango convinto che fecero bene a prendere Morse proprio perchè totalmente differente dalla scuola chitarristica Post-Blackmoriana). E' rincuorante vederli così e spero che in autunno a Milano di vederli in pari forma ....

McBride didn't try to play like Steve Morse or Ritchie Blackmore, and that's more than enough for me. It's silly to hear some people said McBride returned the Purple sound, as Purple consists of many Marks, not just one sound. And McBride sounded so different. He's more into Gary Moore territorial (both are Irishmen) and he should injected more blues into their songs like he did with When The Blind Man Cries, so fans could hear something brand new, different than Blackmore or Morse
no DP consisted of blackmore page lord with gillan then coverdale, two sounds morse and this crap have nothing to do with deep purple. FFS look and listen to what is on stage , they are a joke.

@@andresihotang2314 Jon Lord and Ritchie were the ones who created most of their sounds, but still all of them were a important part. I think they recreate the songs quite well here, I've never been a fan of Ian Gillian but he does well to.
Ian Gillan sings When a blindman cries beautifully. Other classics like Black Night, Lazy or Perfect Strangers are good too, but songs like Highway Star or Space Truckin are too hard and don't sound that good. Ian is turning 77 in less than a month, there are a lot of songs they can choose from that suit his vocals better. Simon is an amazing guitar player indeed and i think he fits Deep Purple perfectly, but still I'm sad to see Steve go, specially because of the motive.
Mah... senza nulla togliere a Don Airey e Simon McBride ma questi non sono Deep Purple. Li ho adorati con Richie Blackmore e ammirati con Steve Morse (unico cambio di chitarrista secondo me ad avere dell'incredibile nella storia dell'intero rock) ma dopo la scomparsa di Lord, l'invecchiamento dei restanti e ora questo nuovo avvicendamento mi sembrano una brutta cover band di loro stessi. Lunga vita comunque ai Deep Purple!

Oggi replicano le cose che facevano anni fa, prima inventavano, davano originalità a ogni versione dei loro brani. Oggi sembra che stiano suonando le loro stesse cover (per carità l'età fa il suo) forse perché Don Airey e Simon McBride, onestamente, non hanno portato alcuna novità.
Simon li ha raggiunti per la tournée, dire che Don Airey non ha portato novità quando gli ultimi album hanno una fortissima impronta tasteristica mi pare totalmente sbagliato. Pezzi come Time for Bedlam or Man Alive non sarebbero possibili senza Airey e sono fantastici

I Deep Purple hanno reso la mia vita più bella, ci sono stati in tutti i momenti della mia vita. Li amo visceralmente da quando ragiono musicalmente ossia da quando avevo 14 anni e ora ne ho 53. A sentire dire che sono una cover band mi vien da ridere. Sarebbe come dire che una Ferrari del 2022 è una imitazione della Ferrari del 1982 di Villenueve. Lascio dire. Ovvio che Lord era Lord, e che il Gillan del 1972 era una dimostrazione dell'esistenza di Dio, mentre ora ha quasi 80 anni. Ovvio che Blackmore era magia pura anche a Parigi nel 1985 e non solo a Osaka nel 1972 e ora fa più il papà. Ma pezzi come Time for Bedlam o Nothing at All continuano a emozionarmi e canto The long way around a squarciagola (anche perché forse mi rappresenta, ah ah ah). Mah... senza nulla togliere a Don Airey e Simon McBride ma questi non sono Deep Purple.
Li ho adorati con Richie Blackmore e ammirati con Steve Morse (unico cambio di chitarrista secondo me ad avere dell'incredibile nella storia dell'intero rock) ma dopo la scomparsa di Lord, l'invecchiamento dei restanti e ora questo nuovo avvicendamento mi sembrano una brutta cover band di loro stessi.
Lunga vita comunque ai Deep Purple!

@@RockBand9534 Forse mi sono spiegato male, non mi riferisco a quelli del 71, ma parlo della personalità che avevano fino a qualche anno fa. Oggi replicano le cose che facevano anni fa, prima inventavano, davano originalità a ogni versione dei loro brani.
Oggi sembra che stiano suonando le loro stesse cover (per carità l'età fa il suo) forse perché Don Airey e Simon McBride, onestamente, non hanno portato alcuna novità.
Simon li ha raggiunti per la tournée, dire che Don Airey non ha portato novità quando gli ultimi album hanno una fortissima impronta tasteristica mi pare totalmente sbagliato. Pezzi come Time for Bedlam or Man Alive non sarebbero possibili senza Airey e sono fantastici
@@alessandroveneziani6271 hai ragione anche se cè da dire che Lord è fuori da ogni classifica:Jon Lord:un Dio sceso dall'Olimpo,per deliziarci con il suo IMMENSO Talento.Peccato che il 16 luglio 2012,gli Dei,hanno rivoluto con loro...e cmq per la precisione,Lord aveva lasciato il gruppo dopo il famoso concerto con orchestra del 2000..Morse ho sempre adorato,se i DP esistono ancora lo si deve solo a lui..e si deve a lui,che Lord sia rimasto fino al 2000....Simon è appena arrivato,pare che suoni con loro da sempre....dire cmq che siano una cover band,è un eresia..anche a me piacerebbe vederli,come erano prima(e Blackmore per ciò che ha fatto è DIO)ma gli anni passano...io intanto in prima fila me li sono rivisti a roma e il giorno dopo a bologna e sarò presente anche a Milano ad ottobre..Steve ormai ha abbandonato il gruppo,ma non importa....anche perchè unico concerto che avrei voluto vedere,era in giappone nel 1972......e li non cè nera per NESSUNO!
@@corsaroroma490 quando Lord morì 10 anni fa, piansi come avrei fatto per un vecchio amico, tali considero i Deep Purple. I Deep Purple hanno reso la mia vita più bella, ci sono stati in tutti i momenti della mia vita. Li amo visceralmente da quando ragiono musicalmente ossia da quando avevo 14 anni e ora ne ho 53. A sentire dire che sono una cover band mi vien da ridere. Sarebbe come dire che una Ferrari del 2022 è una imitazione della Ferrari del 1982 di Villenueve. Lascio dire. Ovvio che Lord era Lord, e che il Gillan del 1972 era una dimostrazione dell'esistenza di Dio, mentre ora ha quasi 80 anni. Ovvio che Blackmore era magia pura anche a Parigi nel 1985 e non solo a Osaka nel 1972 e ora fa più il papà. Ma pezzi come Time for Bedlam o Nothing at All continuano a emozionarmi e canto The long way around a squarciagola (anche perché forse mi rappresenta, ah ah ah). Ian Paice ha appena suonato in un paesino della bergamasca dove ho passato 49 delle mie 53 estati, ma vivo ormai lontano dall'Italia e me lo sono perso, ma è come fossi stato li. Goditeli un po' anche per me...
