    Samsonov played very smart after first game - slowing down, shopping, more spin, even defending to break the flow.

    ITTF, it’s 2019 for god’s sake! Please use 4K cameras for these high level matches. You’re disrespecting the fans and the players who are trying to put on a good show for the world to see.

    Samsonov is really class apart. A maestro. His play is like music. Filus did very well with beautiful chops but clearly was no match for Samsonov. Not that Samsonov played high offence but he slowed the game down and interestingly tired out the more defensive Filus.

    It doesn't look spectacular but it is for a reason Joo Sea Hyuk is 0:11 against Vladi.

      But JSH said in an interview that he loves playing against Samsonov the most, followed by Kreanga.

    Odd game: Apart from the last set it seemed that both players were more or less uncomfortable with each others approach.

    Strange Filus can make so many unforced errors. Samsonov should get an Energy Star for his low power win.

    lol, that first point. Samsonov was like wtf just happened.
    Anyway, Samsonov is experienced against choppers. He may not beat any of the Chinese A-team, but he will still beat Hou Yingchao that beat all of them.

    find it very strange that this floor is like no other compared to other ittf tournaments, the ball doesn't bounce for a second anywhere on it whereas with normal floors there would be a major reduction but still a bounce. Does this not affect the players if the floor is different in this way?

    • @nitale55688
      @nitale55688 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its a springfloor, to reduce the vibration to the ankles of the players. the players dont really notice it. its like a hard sponge i guess.

      @@nitale55688 is that new tech or old tech? because that sounds awesome but also this isn't the most popular event so why would it get invested

    • @nitale55688
      @nitale55688 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everytime you see a red or green floor in professionell tabletenis ther is a springfloor under it. Its actually old tech. They use these floors for like decades.
