You really are the super magnet man - a grand de-mystifier. I've been fascinated by magnets my whole life, but because there's no real visual element to magnetism I've struggled to understand how different shapes or combinations of shapes affects the all-too-magical invisible magnetic forcefields. Your novel application and resin/ferrite visualizations are really helping me understand the nature of magnetism in 3d space. Outstanding work my good man, I am in your debt. Liking and subbing is the least I can do.

Hi Mr Magnet Man: This is very interesting, like all subjects there is always a lot to learn. I am enjoying this as I am making an electric motor.
The Pyramid Magnets you are illustrating shows how you can focus the force at the tip, would this be improved if you use a pointed cone shape?

    • @SuperMagnetMan
      @SuperMagnetMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Hey Chris - thanks for watching. When you look at motor design you have to look at not just the level of the gauss field but the total flux in a volume of space. While the cone tip might increase the gauss level you have to remember that it is over a very tiny spot which means very little of that flux can be used in the winding because so little of the winding will actually see the higher flux. So the challenge is to design the coil that can see the highest total flux over the area of the magnet. The pyramid gives us a good strong field across the surface but if the design only uses one pyramid then you have to look at the coil. A coil that is 0.25 inches thick will see a pretty strong magnetic field but one that is 1 inch thick would see much less field than it would from a 2 inch cube.:). Hope this helps.

What about rounding the corners of the pyramid at the top? Do you get the same magnetic concentration in a 1 piece step pyramid or does it need to be multiple stacked magnets?

thanks for the article S/M man,.. I was wondering if you have looked or made a strong, standing magnetic field 'within' a hollow vase shaped magnet block? Also wondering if you have developed an "electronic" mapping system for the standing 3D magnetic field,, perhaps using an array of hall effect sensors and software app that animates the field?. I look forward to your reply, and thanks again for these informative and interesting articles.

What about cone shaped magnets? Based on the geometry and energy directing characteristics of cones compared to pyramids--it seems that cones would likely concentrate it even more--so I would think the gauss level would be even higher using identical areas on the big and small ends. It would be worth testing if you can get cone shaped magnets.

Well we know they make electricity, so the limestone making it insulated might be what pushes the electric current up. I often wounder what would happen if you add limestone back to the pyramid, if you can even stand on the top.
We know the egyptians had bagdad batteries, so we know they had an interest in developing electricity. So, they might have been trying to make electricity.
I mean I say egyptians, but we now know that most of these ancient cultures we thought built the stuff didn't. Like the aztecks, they actually settled the buildings/ ruins. So.

Have you done any research into Joe Parr’s pyramid experiments? It would be pretty amazing if you were able to figure out how magnetic attraction can be harnessed, potentially amplified and projected to latch on to another magnetic field. For instance, manipulating magnetic forces until you are capable of making a magnet levitate. Now change the logic and instead of using a local magnet to push away, think about how could we harness a magnetic field from let’s say the sun and use it to pull the magnet to it.

How about mounting ten or so of those pyramid magnets on a shaft using wire/cable attached to the tips & then to the shaft, the goal being to spin the magnets on the shaft creating a magnetic field that would have a spin pattern like a hurricane, the key is to spin the magnets at the right speed, too fast and they might cavitate?? too slow and they probably dangerous- so you'd need engineer the system to handle a slowdown without destroying stuff. Do that with manets on both ends of a shaft, will that create a wormhole if the shaft is long enough? Maybe someone inside that area will time travel or not age? If so please let me know since it was my idea. Or you could put wide (long cable say 10 units of radius when spun fast) at top and bottom of shaft and narrow (short cable say 1 units of radius when fast) in middle so you'd have hurricane on each end and they go through a sand timer like singularity then back out.

Apparently the Linestone surface that the Giza Pyramids has was a form of insulation. It's been hunted that obviously these are not tombs but instead poweplants... for what purpose has yet to be discovered. But the way they are built was to take water from the at the time nearby Nile and drive it through the Kings and Queens Chambers . What this water conducts with a surrounding powerful working electro magnetic field around the Giza pyramid is a mystery. But uts very possible it could be a giant source if powerful electricity needed to for powerful or efficient technologies that are proven to have been used even predating the Egyptian Pharoah dynasties. The Pyramids are way more older than anyone thinks.

That is not a pyramid, they do not have flat tops. what would that look like if it actually came to a point?

5:23 you say the magnetic field is the addition of those two fields. This is incorrect. The magnetic field is a toroid, a doughnut. Not the addition of two fields.

Hello, with respect, I am no expert (like he is:P)..
yet I remember from my physics classes
      what he is referring to.
When people talk about two+ magnetic fields coming together, what they want to know is the resulting field... I guess you could think about them as one magnet? - See regardless of where they are in space, they are still working on/ against each other.
It's my understanding Magnetic fields work similar to gravity or an electric field - diminishing gradually over infinity (infinity' also being a weird topic).
      Anyhow - stay well.:)

@@devonknobel Public science doesn't know what gravity is. They say matter creates gravity. In reality conscience creates gravity and mass follows gravity. Public science doesn't admit consciousness in formulas, hidden tech does.

What if you made the shape the superior obelisk geometry and instead of magnets use the most powerful materials fish bones and toothbrush bristles then all you would need to do is go to your local church and put it next to the crucifix but only after you hang truck nuts on it and a ton of blood Jesus isn't the most bloody he can't win everything. Plus you can totally tell his Dad wrote his autobiography.
