@@almityace Yes but you wouldn't call it a Remington 1903 buddy. You would call it a Springfield M1903, because the pattern like you said is Springfield M1903. You might add a footnote that one particular sample was produced in a Remington factory, but you wouldn't treat it as if "Remington 1903" is some sort of special named variant like this game does.
Not just that, they actually paid attention to how these guns are handled in-game! For example if you tap the fire button your character will automatically cycle the next round, while holding down fire will prevent cycling the next round until you let go: For pump-action weapons such as the Remington 7600, this means your character will take advantage of the internal pressure to "fast pump it" when tapping the fire button, while holding down fire will will cause the character to do the full motion of pumping the weapon (alongside the classic sound), aka the iconic "shotgun pumping". For rifles which have to be loaded directly into the ejection port such as the Remington 700 Long Range due to a lack of a magazine, the weapon will eject the currently chambered round when reloaded, so tapping fire will always result in ejecting a unfired round (of course if you have not shot all loaded bullets) and will take longer as your character must load two bullets as opposed to one, while holding down fire and pressing the reload key will eject only the spent casing and load a new bullet in a single motion instead. This kind of detail is unnecessary for most games and is seldomly seen on shooters, yet the fact they are there and are based on the player's input rather than being a single animation for everything is impressive, more so for a hunting game which is niche by nature.
Styer Scout firing sound reminds me of the Sniper rifle from HL1:OP4. Also, that's some normalized SFX, I hope there will be no DLC for hearing protective headphones :) Cool video! thanks for sharing!
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 Are you Sure? I assume the devs just field recorded the gun shots, since they have "the sponsor" 's permission to have half of their arsenal inside the game, why wouldn't they record them and just go with compositing the SFX? Also, have you found such stock sound of the sfx?
Maybe this is me showing my ignorance but what's with the names of some of the weapons towards teh middle of the list? They sound like Unique Variants I'd take off of bosses in other games.
I'll be hearing the Ki-yi Predator Call in my nightmares tonight

Surprisingly smooth animations for a hunting game
Hunting games, where arms manufacturers love to be part of
12:18 if for whatever reason this game had a TDM mode I would equip only this and run around the map
TDM?

Remington paid them so much they rewrote history and credited em for the 1903 lol
Remington made 1903s Springfield was the patter multiple manufacturers made during ww1

I mean there Remington arms manufacture made most of them. It’s just a Springfield pattern.
Some of those weapons are excellent
all them calls are cool
It even takes “the one in the chamber” in account.

Damn, that's a lot of recognizable stock sounds
BOOM Sounds library, awesome for devs terrible for players.
@@trashcompactorYT I'm talking about Hollywood Edge Premiere
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 You're right these are definitely not BOOM Sounds, my bad. I listened on my phone yesterday.

Good ears. I'm pretty sure they used the same stock sound in the mix.
