Hacé Mucho Tiempo quería ver un vídeo Así aquí en TH-cam..Muchas Veces me Preguntaba Porque, la Punta de mi cautín no calentaba Bien..Y aquí Está La Respuesta.. Gracias 👍🇨🇴
What if I apply thermal paste around the ceramic heater and then put the bit on it won't it work other than taking all that trouble with aluminium can.
I believe max temp of consumer thermal paste is around 150c. I checked MX 4, 6 and Noctua NH1, all of them are listed as having 110-150c maximum continuous operation. The lowest soldering iron would go is 200, and maximum 450c, way above listed spec of thermal paste.

You'd be much better off using high-temperature copper anti-seize compound. Or, buy high quality brand-name tips such as Hakko T18 that'll fit snugly and are made from metals that transfer heat better and last longer without pitting and oxidizing. The ceramic elements measure about 3.85 mm diameter, but the inside hole of the cheap made-in-China tips are anywhere from 4.15 to 4.4 mm which leaves a significant air gap. The inside diameter of the Hakko T18 tips measure 4.05 mm, a much better fit.

The heat propagation from the heating element to the metal tip does not occur by conduction but by radiation. Filling the gap with metal does not improve the propagation and most likely worsens it. 😂 Don't do it!
You know as viewers we don’t have to watch your fancy measurements and tools, and the process of polishing the can and then cuts it and all this crap while listening to the wedding background music
Wouldn't that crack the ceramic heating element when the temperature increases and the tip expands?
Mine is not like that it has metal around the ceramic element to protect from damaging it

Gee, I've had my Hakko for 6 or 7 years and have never had a problem with heat transfer. It still works as good as the day I bought it
I think You should use copper tape around the filament and use some good quality thermal paste into the tip hole
sand the paint off the outside, but leave the plastic coating on the inside...
Bottlers in some other parts of the world don't use plastic lined cans.
use lighter to test if it sstinks on plastic burn then it is plastic coated btw i use normal alu folie or copper one
Very well done, and great idea 💡👍
Y que pasa con la expansión del metal por el calor, la punta no va reventar la resistencia de cerámica.

I Been Used Cooper Paste.. It Does Not Stick And Do Not Seize.!
Законы теплового расширения.
Опоздали на лет 10. Хороший совет для T12, в Китае стоит 3-4$.
You could use high temp thermal paste also but if tip moves it leaves air gaps, just a idea i didnt test it.
Can I use aluminum?
He already IS using aluminium, you idiot. The can is made of aluminium.
Probably the best thing you can use is aluminum and contact paste also works good too
very cool
a shim from copper is much more better keeping in mide copper expansion coefficient
thanks
It's true, but a thin sheet of copper is harder to find, while an aluminum can is something we all have at home.

I will try, Thanks@@apktsang
Do Not Recomend. All The Aluminum Expand And Stick In The Tip.. You Can Broke The Ceramic Fillament.

Or just get a T12, C210, C245, TS101 or some other cartridge-style-System..

Do a test comparson to see the difference
T245 or t210 are prehistoric also.
Metcal smart heat system is much better.
Yea? So go and spend $600+ for a solder station 😂😂😂😂
lol. He sand down the entire can just to use a little piece. It would of been easier to just sand down a section and cut from that.

You should used old lithium battery's copper foil with thermal paste
+++++

Get yourself a station with t245 or t210 or t12 and stop trying to improve dead prehistoric technology... Man, seriously, what a hell are you doing
Which one do you recommend out of the 3 that you have suggested?
