Clint Walker was my favorite Western star. I was lucky to meet him on the TV movie set when he was doing his hit western, "Cheyenne". My teacher was a friend of his and took several
5th-grade boys to the set for a meet and greet. He was in his western outfit. I remember standing next to him and how long his legs seemed. I think I was barely up to his waistline. He was so nice to us kids, spending time and asking us questions about our interests. That was almost 70 years ago and I remember it well. He was very impressive in real life too. .

As an added note to my story above of meeting Clint Walker, I also had the pleasure of knowing his daughter, Valarie. I worked with her at Western Airlines. I even got to meet Valarie's Mom, Vera, in the early 1980s when Valerie flew to my station as a pilot, and her Mother accompanied her on the trip. They were both delightful, easygoing, and fun people. So I consider myself lucky to have met all three of the Walker family on a one-on-one basis. All three made a great impression on me as you can tell. .

The Narrator mad one mistake, when talking about Clint's Accident, he said "Clint refused to Hang up his spurs" that proves he is NOT a real Clint Walker Fan.....Clint is the ONLY Cowboy star that NEVER wore spurs!....and for that I have great respect for him, an obvious horse lover

@@martyncole537 Hahahehe, of course it was a figure of Speech, I just used it as a segue to make the point that Clint never wore spurs in Cheyenne or any of his movies, I have watched Western movie stars from John Wayne to Clint Eastwood, to Hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rogers and everyone in between and they all wore spus, every single one of them, spurs were never necessary, very few people even notice, so why wear them? Clint cared about the animal, none of the others did, Being an animal lover myself that is why I respect Clint way above all of the others, it is sometimes good to know what makes people tick, Clint was a good, Decent human being.....that was the point, not that the Narrator made a mistake, that wasn't even relevant

He lived in Grass Valley at the time of his death. I would see him periodically about town or sitting in a car while his aid went grocery shopping for him. He was very friendly and I enjoyed the two conversations I had with him. We talked about my uncle who did special effects for John Wayne . I was sad when I heard he had passed. RIP Clint.

There is good and bad in all walks of life! The term is Gay! I agree that is shows lack of common decency, common sense, compassion and a conscience and it is backbiting, belligerent, crass, crude, cruel, hateful, gossipmongering, hypocritical, immoral, impertinent, mean, uncharitable unempathetic, unethical, vicious, and vulgar to talk about a person when he or she is no longer around to defend herself or himself. Homophobic Rhetoric incites hate and violence! It doesn't matter whether Clint Walker was gay or heterosexual. He was a very talented actor who was blessed to be very handsome.

I must admit I can't say I ever saw Walker in a single performance outside Dirty Dozen. Son of a ex-bronc rider turned cowman, I grew up in rural Colorado as a gay man whose passions were music and theater. Westerns were a genre I avoided. Of course, I always thought Walker was a very hot man. Fascinating to learn of his long and checkered life, so thank you for that. Pleased to know despite his challenges he lived his full life to a ripe old age with a woman he loved at his side. Sorry he never got the kind of roles to which he aspired. It's a sad relic of "old Hollywood" type casting, and I'd have seen more of his work if they'd allowed him to break out.

Either the narrator of this video, or the person who was responsible for writing the material that the narrator presented, had to be an ignorant bonehead concerning some of the roles that Mr Walker played in theatrical movies that followed his time as a TV cowboy. Because at the point in the video where it's just been said that Clint Walker's exit from his hit TV show earned him more creative freedom, the narrator then says "Clint played an astronaut in Frank Sinatra's war drama "None But The Brave." An astronaut?!!! What an amazingly brainless piece of misinformation that IS!! Like Mr Sinatra, Clint Walker played a soldier battling the Japanese on a Pacific island during World War II. I went to a theater to see that 1965 film release, which was the year I turned 14. And part of the reason that I'd wanted to see that movie was because my brother, along with my parents, and myself, had been fans of Clint's TV western hero. BTW, NASA didn't even select the 1st people for its astronaut training program until over 15 years past the time that the story in "None But The Brave" takes place. I'd been considering becoming a subscriber to Golden Rewind, but such a case of bogus information, PLUS, this video's title FALSELY stating that Mr Walker's daughter "Confirms the Rumors About His Private Life", something she clearly NEVER DOES in the video, made me realize that subscribing here, to listen to the kind of "information" that a Golden Rewind video is likely to be careless enough to give, would just waste this 72 year old man's time, ESPECIALLY since my doctor says I have 2 years, or less, left to live! HOWEVER, I will be impressed if the person who runs Golden Rewind actually allows my criticism to stand, without needing to erase it!

This is some real BS!! And clickbait. The photo of actor Henry Wilson, who "discovered" Clint working as a door man in Las Vegas, is actually a photo of Henry Wilson the U.S. Vice-President in 1873, and who died in 1875, long before motion pictures and Clint's birth in 1927. The clothing and photography style is a red flag! The discussion about Clint by his daughter, as in the title, appears briefly at the very end, after you have been subjected to commercials, and she does NOT address the gay rumor's if that what you are waiting for!!

This is a piece of trash! So many errors and falsehoods in this that it would be a major task to address them all. I have read everything I can find about CLint Walker in addition to watching videos of interviews he has done. They have all been cosistent. The people who knew him best have described him as a good, decent, hard-working straight man of high moral standing. I have never seen or heard this drivel before and some of the claims are blatantly farcicle! (He portrayed an astronaut in a film about WWll, did he? Really!!) He is my favorite actor and his performances were totally believable, not "wooden" as some claim. Many actors overact and their characters are not realistically portrayed. Clint was usually spot on.

NOTE: This version of the famous skiing accident is different from what has been described in the past: I have always read that he was wearing rental 🎿 that were the wrong length 4him and they broke. It also was not a "nurse" who noticed he was alive, but a "doctor" who was walking by and stopped 2 look at him....

I seriously doubt he was gay. I think there are a lot of people that want to promote deviancies as normal in society, but it is only harmful.
