      @@ginaartsgallery Sorry guys but now I have a problem. Made the Cello, all good. Made the stand, not bad. But I cannot connect them. Things don't align. The gears don't mesh, they overlap. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

      When you reach step18 according to the guide, the cello body should be finished. Also the stand.Please make sure the back gear engages with the movement gear when installing.Make sure to align the four holes with the protrusions before pressing it into the slot. If the gears don't match, Back to step15, please note to install the movement with a slight upward tilt.

    I used the instructions that came in the box about 80% of the time and I used your video about 10%. Whenever I was really lost or just wanted clarification. I finished it and it works perfectly. In addition to the tools in the box I also used needle nose pliers which came in very handy when getting some of the pieces to fit or removing shaft sleeves whenever I placed them accidentally, I also used box cutters to cut the adhessive tape to precision.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like you managed to combine the provided instructions with some additional resources and personal ingenuity to navigate through the tricky parts effectively. Your use of needle nose pliers and box cutters was a smart move to deal with the intricacies of assembly and precision work required.

    just in case anyone has the same problem as me whereby the gear get stuck after playing for a short while (45 to max 90 seconds), at least for me this is due to the clear plastic circle that you have to poke the metal rod through being too pressed down as instructed by the instruction manual. I use a plier and loosen each and every clear plastic circle for each gear and now the whole cello can play around 2 minutes 30 seconds without stopping. The full time for the musical box is 3 minutes 30 seconds in case any one is interested. juz be super duper careful with pulling out the clear plastic circle cuz i break 3 wooden parts while doing so but lucky all 3 have backup parts!

      Thank you for sharing your experience and providing a detailed explanation of the issue you encountered and the solution you found. This information can be incredibly valuable for others who might face a similar problem while assembling a similar kit or working on a project involving gears and plastic circles.
      It's great that you were able to identify the specific cause of the gear getting stuck and take steps to address it. Your cautionary note about being careful with the clear plastic circles is especially helpful for anyone attempting a similar fix.
      Sharing insights like this helps build a community of knowledge and can save others time and frustration. If anyone else encounters a similar issue, they may find your solution quite useful. Thank you for contributing to the collective wisdom of makers and hobbyists!

      @@elenagrode8399the easiest way to find out if it is a gear problem is to take out the cello part and hand rotate the gear behind the cello, it should feel very loose! if it is tight then u have to loosen the gear, if it is very loose then try playing the music box on its own, make sure it can play alone by itself for 3 min 30 secs, if it also can do that, then it juz mean the connection between the cello and the music box is bad! hope this help u!

    I made a mistake on one of the gears, but I can't fix it because the Shaft Sleeve (P11, the tiny circular parts) isn't coming off of the steel pole. Any advice on how to remove the shaft sleeves so I can fix my gears? (please I need help)

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try applying a small amount of lubricant (such as silicone spray or machine oil) around the Shaft Sleeve where it connects to the steel pole. This can help loosen any potential friction.Attempt to gently rotate the Shaft Sleeve back and forth on the steel pole. This can help break any potential adhesive or tight fit.Carefully use a pair of pliers to grip the Shaft Sleeve. Hold the steel pole securely with one hand while turning the Shaft Sleeve with the pliers using the other hand. Be gentle to avoid damaging the Sleeve or the pole.

    Building this right now and C9 (brown arch piece on the back) is driving me crazy lol. It keeps falling off every time I have to move the cello.

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I can understand how frustrating that can be! Here are some tips that might help you keep the C9 piece (the brown arch piece) in place while you continue building your Magic Piano Music Box:Temporary Adhesive: Use a small amount of removable adhesive, such as poster putty or double-sided tape, to hold the C9 piece in place temporarily. This can provide enough grip to keep it from falling off while you work on other parts.Rubber Bands: Carefully use small rubber bands to hold the piece in place. Wrap the rubber bands around the entire assembly gently to avoid damaging any parts. This should keep the piece stable while you work on other sections.Check Fit: Ensure that the C9 piece is fitting correctly and that there are no small obstructions or misalignments causing it to be unstable. Sometimes a slight adjustment in the positioning can make a big difference.

      It sounds like you're having a bit of a tough time with your Magic Cello Music Box kit. Don’t worry, mistakes happen, and there are usually ways to fix them. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:Assess the Situation: First, check if the gears are aligning and functioning correctly despite the incorrect rods. Sometimes, small mistakes may not significantly impact the overall functionality.Consult the Manual: Look at the instruction manual to identify the specific parts involved. See if you can reverse the assembly steps to correct the rod placements.Disassemble Carefully: If possible, carefully disassemble the parts where the incorrect rods were placed. Be gentle to avoid breaking any pieces.Replace the Rods: Once disassembled, swap the rods to their correct positions. Ensure that each part is correctly oriented as you reassemble the kit.Test the Gears: After reassembling with the correct rods, test the gears to see if they move smoothly and correctly.

    Thanks for your amazing video. I built the cello but it doen not work as it should. I know perfectly where I made a mistake (see p.7 - 2nd part of manual). It has to do with the triangle and circle marked on the 'half gears'. Neither the manual nor the video is very clear. You don' seem to bother about the placement of both signs. I tried to follow the manual, but in the end, it does not work. I wonder if I can repair it as I only need the cello. Any advice would be welcome!

    • @ginaartsgallery
      @ginaartsgallery  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience you've experienced with building the cello. Although I don't have access to the specific manual or video you mentioned, I'll do my best to provide some general advice on how to proceed with troubleshooting and repairing the cello.
      1 Review the Manual: Take a closer look at the section on page 7 that discusses the triangle and circle marks on the 'half gears.' Ensure you understand the instructions clearly and identify the steps that might have caused the issue. Sometimes, manuals can be challenging to follow, but carefully reviewing the steps can often reveal the problem.
      2 Contact Customer Support: If the cello kit was purchased from a company or manufacturer, consider reaching out to their customer support. They might be able to provide additional guidance or clarify the confusing parts of the manual.
      3 Patience: Building intricate instruments like cellos can be challenging, even with detailed instructions. Stay patient and persistent; don't rush the process. Take breaks if needed to avoid frustration.
      Remember that it's common to encounter difficulties during the assembly of complex projects, and most problems can be resolved with careful examination and adjustments. Good luck with repairing your cello, and I hope you can soon enjoy playing your newly-built instrument!

      If those clear acrylic stoppers are pressed* down too tight on the steel pins, especially on the middle gears, that can cause too much friction even with sanding/wax. This was my issue, needle nose pliers to fix it. Just twisted the stoppers up a teeny bit. Too loose will cause derail of the bow/gear binding issues, so it's a bit of a balancing act.
