We just purchased 2 CZ American rifles. One is 22LR and the other is 22 Magnum. We really like both of them.

Believe it or not my 457 loves norma tac-22 red box. Crazy I know.

I need to get some of it to try. The Norma match stuff is a joke

@@DirtbagOutdoors That was the exact same results I got as well!!! The regular norma was edged out the CCI standard for cheap stuff. I found some ely, sk, and rem. gold standard. The SK was the only one better than the norma. Shot 4 rifles that day, probably 300 rounds, and sadly the Ely was the only bad round (squib) out of all 6 brands of ammo I tried.

Mine too. Shoots unbelievably well in it.

I know you've mentioned not liking the Norma before (which is actually reboxed RWS, same for the Geco that used to be imported)... But I get some of the best groups out of my 457 MTR with Norma Tac-22 and Match. RWS 50 (if you can find it) is also great. Other than those best performers are SK standard plus, SK rifle and pistol match, and Lapua center x. The rifle doesn't perform particularly well with any Eley that I've tried. They are ok groups but not great. My Bergara also loves the Norma/RWS loads and SK. It absolutely hates Eley. Groups worse than thunderbolts. I also have a Springfield 2020 and mine doesn't perform as poorly as yours but is just meh. I also have three Anschutz rifles including a new 1761 MPR. All three like Eley more than my others, but also perform well with SK and Lapua. They don't shoot the Norma boxed loads that great. Just ok. However, they do well with RWS boxed loads. My understanding is that the Norma boxes are lower end RWS culled from batches of higher performing loads. The 1761 MPR prints one holers pretty regularly with good lots of Eley and SK. I Really enjoy your rimfire content.

Nice video. Do you have a link for the pic rail adapter?

What adapter are you using for the suppressor. I’ve read these are 1/2x20 and my can is 1/2x28.

They are. I got an adapter from Hughes Precision

Do you like the cz 457 more than something like the savage mk ii? Is it worth almost double the price?

Great question. I have the mark ii fv sr and it’s great for the money. The cz does have a better fit and finish. It’s also more accurate. It just has an overall better feel to it. Like it’s a new bmw vs a Honda. Both are good…just different.

My only gripe about these is the engraved model and name in the side of the stock. PU on a really nice Rifle.

You should shoot at least 10 rds of each type of ammo when you change to season the barrel to the different type of lube before shooting groups for accuracy testing.

I’ve done a lot of experiments doing that. Almost never makes a difference
