Have you played any of these games? If so, what are your thoughts?

      Hey ByP 👋🏼
Of the four games on your list I’ve played only Sea, salt and paper. I love that game. For 3 players is absolutely fantastic. I am not the biggest fan of the art (mainly because of the pastel colours) but the game is excellent.
Just yesterday I’ve received notice that Moonrakers Titan is coming in one or two weeks, so I am super excited about it. Also I am looking forward to Lacerda’s Inventions. :)
Have a safe trip to AireCon 😊

Love Mille Fiori (but agree that it’s not a 2 player game), intrigued by Sea, Salt & Paper.

We love Velonimo. We tried the variant with 2 players only and it was amazing. It is one of rare game that has a twist by playing with two. We also love Sea salt and paper. Takes one game to remember the 3 power but then it is a really fun game and easier than Scout. You can STOP or LAST CHANCE for the end. We have Mille Fiori and can’t wait to try.

Mille Fiori me & the kids love it... Such a quick fun game. Like to see someone shining because big leader, knowing that I've set up for a couple of huge turns thinking "I'll be back!" 😂

So happy to see Mille Fiori get a wider release in the U.S., seriously been looking forward to it.

There's a 2 player variant for Mille Fiori listed on BGG which eliminates certain cards & spaces from the board to make a tighter 2-player game. It might be worth your time checking out.

My husband and I have been digging Sagrada recently: it's a new addition to our collection and so replayable!
We also recently had a parents' night out where we got to drop our kids off at church and go do whatever we wanted to for 3 hours: we got Thai takeout and went back home to play Weather Machine. 😁

    Mille 1000
Fiori the plural noun of flower
    In Italian
    And you pronounced it correctly
Sea, salt & paper is really fab.
Discovered it on BGA a few days ago and got completely in love and addicted to it. Game play and art are really great.
Really eanted to buy it but none of the online websites that ship to where I live (Israel) have it :(

Have fun in the UK. Went to school there for a year. Loved it. Revisited there (and throughout Europe) in 2014.👍

We have played Mille Fiori with 2P variant, and had no issues with it. Astra is coming, and have See Salt and Paper on my wishlist. Might look at also adding Velonimo 😁❤

Love this kind of content from you guys.please do more...
    I discovered 2 interesting roll&write on BGA
Next stop: London. Which took me sometime to figure out.
And Dice Hospital: ER, which is a thinky, surprisingly good R&W

Great video as always !! I'm a big fan of the Let's talk BG series 🤗 Really appreciate that you give honest reviews, and you guys make me laugh, especially when Monique says "Naveeeeeeen" hahaha 😋

I agree with Naveen on the playercount for Mille Fiori, we love it at 4 players. The expanison for it will be released in Europe this spring.

I haven't received my copy of Mille Fiori yet, but it seems almost everyone agrees that a.) it's best at 3-4, and b.) the Spielbox variant elevates the 2P game. (You can find this on the BGG forum.) I wonder if Naveen would also be more forgiving of 2P in this case?

    I played Flamecraft solo.
It takes longer than needed. But I still like it😀
And I played Dice Forge again, and remember why I like the game so much👍

We played a 4-player game of Mille Fiori recently & I really enjoyed it👍I'm not sure if you guys will be at Strategicon on Saturday (Feb 18), but if you are, I'm hoping to finally meet you in person. Also, I'm bringing Oracles of Delphi just in case you have time for a game!

We've enjoyed Astra. I like the look of the game, the quick turns, and the fact that it's crunchier than it first appears. Mindclash recenlty posted a solo version online which I have also played. I've been interested in playing Sea, Salt, and Paper for some time now. Love the art and the game seems quirky enough to hold my attention. Perhaps I'll get a game in on BGA.

Can I asked if you played Velonimo 2 player? BGG stats seem to think it's not great below 3.

We love the game Sea Salt and Paper but I really wish that there were alternate cards for the shark and swimmer combo. My idea is something like a fisherman card and a fishing pole card combo. When you combine the two you would gain the ability to fish through the remaining deck and randomly choose a face down card to take into your hand. What this does is it gives you a wider range of possibilities as you are fishing in an ocean not a small pond, and you are not potentially breaking other peoples sets apart. Also they have no idea what you have ended up with. I don’t mind playing with the shark and swimmer sometimes, but it would be really nice to be able to swap in some different cards to eliminate the take that element.

I knew I was going to buy Mille Fiori on my second turn. The bonus action chaining makes it so satisfying when you can pull off 5 in a row

Haven't played them yet but after seeing this I'm gonna let myself go get some. I'd love to play Mille Fiori and Sea salt and paper.

Cool to hear your thoughts on Astra. Doesn't seem like it fits in with what they usually do and falls down a bit, possibly because they're not used to pairing back on their designs. I won a copy through bgg so hopefully it'll arrive some time soon and I can give it a go

Sea Salt & Paper must have heard your advice because the US version has player aid cards for the duo cards and for how many cards of each color there are.

Thanks for your reviews, not just the "what's good" but even more the "here's what didn't click." You asked about new games we're playing...
Sabika -- 1 game @ 2p. I really liked this and would recommend it if you can find a copy. Tough decision making.
Witchstone - 1 game, 2p. Combos, combos, combos. Always felt like I could have made a better choice, but still enjoyed it; another I'd recommend.
Heat - 1 @3p, 1@ 6p. I think this lives up to the hype. Fantastic racing game.
Kings & Creatures - 3@2p. Unexpectedly good filler. Worth trying out.
Stronghold, champions of Midgard, It's a wonderful world, kings forge, Caper:Europe all on the wait-list.
Imhotep (liked I:duel more) Pipeline (too long given what else we have of that length) Maracaibo (another too long), Favor of the Pharaoh (like the dice, but felt didn't feel it was all that compelling), Floating Market (horrible manual, but more just didn't click), Curious Cargo (got in a mode of taking a tile and passing; may have done something wrong, but thought it was boring), Histrio (didn't like playing two hands each with a 2p game) all played 1x and booted to sale shelf for one reason or another.

    thanks for this. Adding Velonimo (yes...its hard NOT to say Velomino) to the Geekway Play and Win list. Looking into MIlle Fiori for the same, but less sure of it yet. If it was too hard on Monique's heart, then it might be too "dangerous" for for our convention goers. :}

Great video, as always! Those two little card games look like fun, so I'll definitely be looking into them for my group. I played Mille Fiore last week with 4 and yes, it it very quick and pretty. I'll leave it at that. LOL. Love your content.

Just played Astra on BGA, and I agree, it's just okay. There's a lot of these Constellation-themed games coming out, so I think I'd be interested to try Look at the Stars next (that's also on BGA). Michelle from Second Star to the Left has been raving about Sea, Salt & Paper, I'm curious to check that one out, as well as Mille Fiori, it just looks sooooo pretty, and my play group tends to like drafting games. haha
