She has to literally be the strongest woman on the planet. The fact that she was able to not just survive, but actually thrive afterwards, is just amazing, awe inspiring, if I'm being totally honest. I love that she managed to find love again with a husband and a chance to raise a child again. I also love that she turned down the biggest trauma vulture on the planet, Oprah! That proves so much more about her character than most people realize.

Trauma vulture. I love that statement. Well put! Oprah does love making money on other people's tragedies. I was going to make a comment about her turning down Oprah as well but you said it for the rest of us.

How can someone be so selfish? I'm thankful that Dorothy was able to heal somewhat and found love and family again, but she never should have suffered that. She's such a strong woman

When the perpetrators said this was Satan Dorothy literally was like Not Today. But man so heartbreaking for those girls to be so terrified and to witness that of their mother to be ripped away from them. Dorothy is the strongest woman in the world to go through that and still find forgiveness and happiness in the world. And I'm glad she deserves it.

I am so thankful that you were able to go on and not only find love again but to also have your son. I can unequivocally say I would not have been able to do the same. I am so, so sorry for what you suffered physically but especially for the loss of your beautiful girls. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and my heart ❤️

As a mother of 6 children, I don't think I could ever recover the loss of one my own. There's just no way.. I am so in awe of people who are able to overcome such tragedy and loss, while wishing so much they never had to learn how..
I don't know how these fools could be so heartless and cold, first to assault her in front of her girls, and then to attempt to kill her, and later her little precious babies.. just so they could joy ride for a few hours.. all that led them to was a lifetime of pain and nothingness.
    Was it worth it??

No one will read this but sometimes when I eat M&M's, I like to hold two M&M's between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one of the M&M's cracks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the winner. Then I grab the winning M&M and force it to compete with the reigning M&M champion in this deadly game of M&M gladiators. I do this until I run out of M&M's, and when there is only one M&M left standing, I then send a letter with the champion M&M inside of it to the company that manufactures them with an attached note that reads "please use this M&M for breeding purposes"

It is horrible to say; but, it was probably a blessing that the two girls were spared to life-time of torment and misery of growing up without their mother as they likely would have ended up having a miserable life full of all of the usual coping methods so often embraced my those are emotionally scarred to such an extent that they turn to drugs, alcohol and any other substance or behaviour that takes the pain away for even a small amount of time. The only problem with that is that the mother survived and had/will have to live with the loss of her children for the rest of HER life. Without her church, her situation will/would have likely turned her to the same. Such a shame that death was a better option; and, for those of faith, an eternity with her god because she was murdered pure rather than grown and lived in sin, through no real fault of her own. That is what religion suggests to its adherents. Such a waste of life; and, not only the wasted of lives of the victims. I am including the lives of the perpetrators who's lives will be spent in prison until their death penalties are carried out; and, their black bodies used by the state to generate cash for the corporate private prison operators while they do wait. Makes me wonder if that is the reason that appeals are guaranteed as a matter of right, so that the system can make some money. It would be a waste of some healthy money-generating potential to carry out a death sentence immediately after conviction. Kept inmates alive for a few years, makes some money, Constitutionally protected suspension of basic human and legal rights, and then hide it all behind a claim of fairness and virtue signaling. The wealthy white men always figure out a way to abuse black and brown bodies, all while looking good in the process. No wonder they want to prevent the teaching of black and brown history. Someone might actually see what is going on; and, scarier still, might become inclined to do something about it, like let black and brown people vote in numbers significant enough to affect the outcome of an election. It is all one big plan to continue the actions that have served the white ruling class so well for centuries. Back to this case, the offenders only salvation being their likely conversion to a religion of choice while incarserated. It was all a waste, and for what, a limited time with the use of a stolen car? A few pennies? What a waste, an evil waste. A black man can generate so much more money for the state and the shareholders of the private industrial prison complex and to those who invest in same. A black man can only generate a small amount in tax dollars to the state. They have more value in modern legal slavery, so for those of you who believe slavery was abolished in the eighteenth century, think again. After actual chattel slavery was abolished, the practice of using black bodies to generate wealth for the white upper class persisted through share-cropping; and, when that fell out of favour, was modernized within the prison industrial complex, all for the generation of wealth for the elite, white upper class. It is all hidden behind the legal taking away of a person's rights by suspending same through legislation and even still, in the Constitution. Are all men created equal? Yes, in theory, but if you are convicted of a crime, your rights are diminished; and, to what degree would make even Satan blush with embarrassment. Racism is still codified in American law, it has just changed shape and scope, but it's there if you want to see it.
