really needed to know about the night life ?
Hey Kevin thanks for the comment, we didn't really get a chance to checkout the night life because we got sick for the last 2 weeks of the month sorry. From what I gather there are some night clubs but it's not anything like Thailand in regards to nightlife
we'll be back there in 2024 and will definitely make a video about that topic
The hotel you stayed at the first time looks great for the money thanks for the tip . Did you get a stamp or sticker on arrival into laos ?
Yeah I highly recommend that hotel, Perfect location near some really great pubs and bars, every night is a massive night market, the owner of that hotel is awesome too , best location in the city by far @@kevincrickettragic7408

Hi, what a coincidence, I am planning to stay at Mekong Riverside hotel for my first few nights and move to another hotel near the Patuxay so that I'll be able to fly my drone from the hotel's compound. This Villa Sisavad looks like a good choice for that. Did you encounter any problem with the local authority in regard to flying the drone in Laos please?
Hi there, sounds like you have a great trip planned, Say hi to Art from us when you arrive at meekong riverside. You only need a permit if your drone is over 1kg, I won't mention whether I had a permit lol, I highly doubt you would get in any trouble for flying the drone. The local police are very relaxed from what I gathered and the staff at Villa Sisavad are very relaxed and you'll have no trouble from them in regards to flying the drone from the hotel. If you choose to get a permit for the drone you can get one from the local aviation authority . Have a great trip

Getting ill while traveling is the worst. Luang Prabang is beautiful, plenty of side trips and inexpensive two-day river transport all the way to the Thai border if you are adventurous. I've never explored other parts of the country - hope you will and upload a video.
Hey Edward, thanks so much for the comment. We had the worst cough and I felt bad for the staff who were probably paranoid they'd catch whatever we had. I can't wait to go back again and explore the rest of the country, I'm hoping to make it back there in 2024 and I will be making lots of videos about our journey, thanks again and have a wonderful day

Really Laos is more expensive than Thailand and Vietnam
I guess it's where you stay and how you decide to spend your money, we spent less in Laos for the month that we were there, but we were sick for 2 of those weeks and didn't spend much during that time. The hotels we stayed at in Laos were cheap (similar to Thailand prices) and the food was also quite cheap depending on where you choose. I think all 3 of those countries are pretty cheap. Especially compared to Australia where I'm from, thanks so much for your comment.
Can you talk more about the weather in Laos, humidity and heat as compared to Vietnam and Cambodia, etc ??

similar weather to Thailand, very muggy in the city when there's no wind. Don't hire a bicycle like we did, we got heatstroke
How difficult to use your drone in Laos? I mean how much the locals/police care about? I'm a photographer/videographer and will be in Laos next week. But basically impossible to register my drone or get any permission not like here in Thailand. My main concern is get "confronted" with police and be fined or even drone get confiscated. Anyway great video!
you don't need a license if the drone is under 1kg, you can get a license, I forget where sorry as my drone was under 1kg, the radio broadcast centre or something like that is where you can get a license.
@@journey_boundmy drone is way under 1kg. 249g I'm using Mini 3 Pro. That's good news if no registration needed under 1 kg.
