Ricky, great informative and entertaining video as usual! It was wonderful to serendipitously meet up with you and Zohar on my last day in Santiago. Also, thank you for escorting me to the airport bus! Take care and Buen Camiño!
Thank you so much for the inspiration, I am hoping to start my first ever Camino (Frances) in late September, your videos are making me feel like this dream might be possible.
@@caminotellers it's going ok. I'm doing some walking not as much as I would like. I have worn in since training shoes, but now I need to buy the next size up, a friend tells me that this is one area I should not skimp on, he says foot wear is everything on a long walk. I did about 30 miles last week maybe 40 before, it's just finding the time to get it in. I'm doing alot of reading and watching prep guides and slowly buying my kit. I need to start walking with a pack asap. But August is going to be super busy for me with festivals (I'm a singer songwriter), haven't booked my travel yet because can't commit to a leave date until I know what's going on in terms of another gig. But my head is getting into the idea of it, also it keeps trying to talk me out of it too.
@@caminotellers I am now planning for spring next year- April/May. I have changed my route to just cover the last 100k but I have a funny feeling that once I have achieved this I will probably be visiting the Camino again, it looks beautiful. Please keep making the videos Ricky they are really inspiring. If I ever bump into you, I get you a coffee
It was a flute I got in Varanasi, India years back and gave it away to my friend, bagpipes artist on the third day of the camino.. but I ll be showing some more of the instruments along the way
Timothy! what a great journey you are just about to start! I'll be going on 17th to india to walk in the monsoon, so this year we wont meet... but I have a feeling it wont be your last camino. hugs
Hi Ricardo! Great video as usual. 😉There's something I am really curious about: which equipment would you suggest to bring on the Camino? Do you use more often a Camera or a Smartphone to shoot videos on the Camino? Which Camera is best to travel light? Maybe you could make a video about this. 😊 Can't wait to watch videos of the next "Camino" in India. 🙌🏻
Joe! Long story short, your Camera or phone has to be water proof, or at least resistant, because it can get rainy here… I ll make a vid about it soon ;)
I use 30l and I take my equipment with me(cameras). If I would travel without, probably I would have 25 or 20… for summer season. Winter maybe 30 with the sleeping bag

Buen Camino!!!!
What selfie stick do you use?
I don’t use selfie stick, rather a small tripod
do you record during your camino and upload when you get home, or do you upload while you are on camino?
I did both… i strongly recommend to do one thing at the time, the experience is much more profound and videos have better quality!
@@caminotellers thanks, I may just record as I go, take some photos, and upload videos when I get home

I’ve seen 80 liter 50 liter and a 28 liter back pack. How many liters is your back pack.

Vd. Se parece a Don Quijote. Jajaja. Busca a SanTiago o a Sancho? 😊😁👋😂
Jajajaj no eres la primera quien me lo dice… la otra es la de Van gough! No se cual prefiero mas ! Jajajajaj
Hola Ricky, my 'burning' question... Can u just pee in the bushes?? Like when u really can't hold it! Tq
Pat! How are you? As long it’s not someone’s garden, it is more then ok! It’s like a scout trip and sometimes you have to manage in any conditions ;)
