I'm a retired chef, and yes, it's true that meat is treated, trimmed, and sold. 💯 when you see seasoned raw meat, esp prepared in house, it'll prob have gone past its freshness date. I've been told, and there are ppl in different countries who eat, rotten me, that it's okay for consumption. I've only eaten a day old salmon and a few days old steak to test this. I was fine both times. I would NEVER try this with pork and chicken. And I can't stand Walmart. They're evil!😢
Oh yeah, I worked in a grocery story in my late teens/early 20's while on winter and summer break from college. The meat department?!?! Yeah, if y'all really knew. A GOOD PORTION of that meat comes in with mold, disease, and cancers on them. They can't throw all of it away. They cut around it and STILL serve it, either in the display case or wrapped to be put out for sale in the cold case.

We would pull steaks starting to brown, cut the brown off, and redate it. Best believe it used to happen to save money and keep loss down. It doesn't happen much anymore, but still does happen in your smaller grocery stores with not much quality control (Sav-A-Lot, Mor-For-Less, etc.) and has people that don't care. It definitely happens, Not saying mold and disease when it comes in, but bad practices and unsafe meat handling definitely happens daily...

I remember he would sneak my sister & I back to the meat department 🥰 I still remember the fresh smell of cold sides of beef, pigs and whatever else we enjoyed "fresh" in the 60's! I remember later as I got older and understood what he was teaching us. That if a good thick cut of beef starts to turn its aging & it'll be the best tasting steak! He was always right 🥰 Now that I find myself explaining this to you, you are correct. Today we never get a fresh cut of anything! It's shipped to the meat department for a team probably to cut off the rancid meat. Very sad!

He has also expressed that he purposefully doesn't answer questions with yes or no's, or other one work answers like that, and if you hear his last sentence he does clarify that Jesus was very clearly not lord where he was raised, so even if they we're "Christians" he was most certainly wasn't raised in a way that would make you think that. I think SOME objective standards for morality are important. It's telling that all societies in history that were even remotely prosperous or successful enforced universal objective moral values and truths across the entire society. Stuff like cowardice is shameful, prostitution is shameful, etc. And it may sound insensitive, but, if your society is at risk of getting attacked by barbarians or collapsing, you can't really afford to be "nice." I feel like since our modern society is so decadent and prosperous on an unprecedented scale, we're getting comfortable with being morally inadequate because harsh moral values aren't really necessary for now, and then the cycle will perpetuate itself again and we'll end up in another dark age with hard times. It's happened to every society in history, why wouldn't it happen to us?

@@Kelly-ir5hq you're hilarious. It definitely is true. I seen it with my own eyes when I used to work in the meat department of an old store. We would pull steaks starting to brown, cut the brown off, and redate it. Best believe it used to happen to save money and keep loss down. It doesn't happen much anymore, but still does happen in your smaller grocery stores with not much quality control (Sav-A-Lot, Mor-For-Less, etc.) and has people that don't care. It definitely happens, Not saying mold and disease when it comes in, but bad practices and unsafe meat handling definitely happens daily...
@Chris.Rhodes my Dad was a true butcher, meat cutter if you will. He was raised on a farm in the 40's when he turned 16 he sought out a career & it was to become a career for him. I remember he would sneak my sister & I back to the meat department 🥰 I still remember the fresh smell of cold sides of beef, pigs and whatever else we enjoyed "fresh" in the 60's! I remember later as I got older and understood what he was teaching us. That if a good thick cut of beef starts to turn its aging & it'll be the best tasting steak! He was always right 🥰 Now that I find myself explaining this to you, you are correct. Today we never get a fresh cut of anything! It's shipped to the meat department for a team probably to cut off the rancid meat. Very sad!
@@Kelly-ir5hq For sure! I miss the meat department though. We still have one good butcher around my town, and he has the best steaks in town especially the ones they pre-marinade. I usually always get a Tomahawk off of him for Fathers Day for myself to enjoy. Nothing beats a good cut of beef.
My brother works in the meat department and I had to explain Monsanto/Bayer to him.

Cliffe, the man who got angry and sorta sounded defensive after the other man said he was only Christian because of how he was raised, is really a genuine and respectful guy. He has spoke about his temper before and how he struggles with anger, but he is working on it. He has also expressed that he purposefully doesn't answer questions with yes or no's, or other one work answers like that, and if you hear his last sentence he does clarify that Jesus was very clearly not lord where he was raised, so even if they we're "Christians" he was most certainly wasn't raised in a way that would make you think that. I know this is long but I just wanted to say this because Cliffe really is a good guy and from just this clip he could be perceived as rude and just not good.

I think you can justify morality without god, you can believe murder is wrong because you don’t want to live in a world where you are worried about yourself and others getting murdered. You can believe stealing is wrong simply because you don’t want to cause someone else to be upset and you don’t want anyone to steal from you. You can still value human life without believing in god.
You cannot even think that if you havent recieved information about it or learned it. Us humans have not learned this from ourselves, we have learned about morals and right and wrong etc from religion. Without religion humans would do whatever they want, no purpose in life, their actions and behaviors would be dark. Lost, deppressed seeking answers to their pain and meaning of life. Humans have always searched for the meaning of life. But everything we know today goes back to religion.

I’m atheist. I justify morality by using empathy. Pretty easy.
I think SOME objective standards for morality are important. It's telling that all societies in history that were even remotely prosperous or successful enforced universal objective moral values and truths across the entire society. Stuff like cowardice is shameful, prostitution is shameful, etc. And it may sound insensitive, but, if your society is at risk of getting attacked by barbarians or collapsing, you can't really afford to be "nice." I feel like since our modern society is so decadent and prosperous on an unprecedented scale, we're getting comfortable with being morally inadequate because harsh moral values aren't really necessary for now, and then the cycle will perpetuate itself again and we'll end up in another dark age with hard times. It's happened to every society in history, why wouldn't it happen to us?

My bf passed away almost 2 years ago. We were together for 16 years. I myself belived in the higher power meaning GOD. He never did. I always asked why? He always said to me he doesnt exist. So, when he passed i was so devastated. I asked if he was here with me i started recording just to see if he was still here . And i left out the fact he died in the house .. but i recoreded him saying my nickname .. ive plsyed it to my daughter she said yes mom thats his voice. So i know he is with God. My belief .
