I saw this tour in houston. One of the best shows I have ever seen or heard. They really know how to put in a show. I can’t believe I missed out all the years ago when they first started out. Making up for lost time now
I just don’t know how the darkness aren’t more revered here in America how often do you have a group with two leads on guitar and one has a phenomenal voice after when most of the singer from his genre are struggling is amazing to me
They took one too many a hiatus, which ruined their popularity just as they were on a roll. I think the hiatus was due to Justin developing cancerous throat cells.
He was in the mitt’s of addiction and his mental state was in a dark place. Took five years out, got himself on the straight and narrow. Beat his illness and came back stronger.👍
I just said the same thing you did about The Darkness and why aren't they playing venues other than bars. They play the same bar here every time. It must be fun for them? Kansas City has dozens of bigger places they could sell out...... who knows? Maybe they don't want to get big here (the USA). Maybe it's the festival circuit they do in Europe is so huge they don't need the money. 🤔
This is why I go see them every time they come to Australia. Me and a couple of thousand others in my city. Every. Single. Time. Justin totally in his element here.
I am dancing around my apt to this video having some fun with myself. You all should know I DON'T take myself too seriously. No one should. Live and Learn EVERY DAY ❤
What an awesome show! I had the honor to see them perform live at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX in 2012. They did not disappoint. I've been a fan of them since Permission to Land came out in 2003. I came across their video while I was getting ready for work, and I put VH1 on the TV at that time. I believe it was around 5:30am when they were showing videos. I glanced at the intro and I was "what the hell is that?". Little did I know when the guitar riff opened and Justin Hawkins emerged from the fog and started to sing, it blew my mind away. It was very refreshing to listen to a rock band that actually played, you know, ACTUAL ROCK AND ROLL!!! Since then, I got hooked with their music. I would love to see them perform live once again. I hope they make it to Dallas once again.
They been around since early naughties; were on their way to global superstardom but Justin developed cancerous throat cells, so they took a long hiatus which hindered their comeback (unfortunately).

Hello. If you want to protect your ears from acoustic impact, I recommend that you use a piece of cotton. Put it in such a way that you have your hearing protected, but at the same time, that it lets you hear. Thank you.
Hi newbies! I've been following The Darkness since 2004. Saw them live, too. I knew right away they are one of the best bands I've ever heard or seen. It's taken only like 20 years for me to realize that Dan's Thin Lizzy t-shirt is basically his permanent stage clothing. Not that I'm at all complaining - TL rules.
Can’t believe I missed this… Been all over Justin’s page asking when he’d be touring in South Florida, now I feel like a twat… So sorry Justin. Please come back, Stay with me and my husband. Nice home on the H2O, great seafood. We are Pescatarian’s…
years ago, if you went somewhere and there was a crowd of people, it would usually take some time or some kind of altercation to realize which people were pathetic assholes but now you know immediately because they signal you by holding their phones up in the air
What these guys do is theatre. It's very often mistaken for other less interesting artforms but it's the foundations of classic Brit rock. The woke briagade have been attempting to supress it since the turn of the century, but theres always one 'bad apple' that excels in this genre and refuses to die. Take a bow Justin Hawkins.
I've seen Maiden several time. And Priest. And Sabbath. And Megadeth. I also have an open mind to all kinds of great music. And The Darkness are great.
Wow. Not only are their songs rockin and enjoyable , they are good live! Going to one of their shows seems like fun! Missed my chance to see em live in Boston last year, but thank goodness they're coming back again in Oct. Wanna go! Yes these guys are underrated here in America and should be pushing overrated people like Taylor Swift out of the way, but they'll give you a good show in a small more intimate setting. Justin also has a crazy sense of humor he puts into his songs and performances. Great how he's able to cuss in a song and be hilarious and silly....that's major British humor for you.
Oh no! Justin is getting all mature and wearing real man clothes? Say it ain't so! [EDIT] -- Oh, okay, later in the set, he gets changed into his rockstar superego clothes.

Don’t know how Justin still sounds the same after almost 2 decades. Amazing singer
As much as I like this guy, he's flat most of the time. And that tone isn't exactly difficult to get, hence he can still do it after two decades.
@@YTOnceAgain alright bro, upload a video matching his tones while singing all of the songs from this concert in one take.
@@aceplays1081 Yeah, maybe. After he has uploaded a video matching my tones while singing 20 of my songs in one take.
And his performance of ON FIRE 🔥 @ Taylor Hawkins tribute was mind-blowing...ROTH SCREAMS EPIC !!!
I don't think he has a powerful voice nowadays. He sings, but his voice lacks strength. He's getting old.
I love that there is a child near the front clearly having a great time..
And that before Justin does his stage dive he asks the father is it OK to do so with her standing near it. Top guy.
They're Queen, AC/DC and ZZ Top all in one band and I'm very much all for that!
and the drummer is Roger Taylor's son (Rufus Taylor)!
along with Led Zeppelin and King Crimson.
Ru was really smashin.
Dont forgett thin lizzy. Great funs of them
Didn't realise these guys were as heavy as they are ......open fire ......brilliant 🤘👍
Dan is so heavily underrated as a rhythm guitarist
The most underrated rock band of the past 20 years without question.
Who's unnderrating them? Also, why do people say everything is underrated nowadays?
@@dr.loomis4221 Underrating isn't what it was anymore.
Dan is so fcking great, walks out...takes a moment to feel the vibe...opens up with a sick pick scrape straight into badass riff
This American loves The Darkness!!

He’s so tight

I was there and this video doesn't do it justice how fucking amazing they were that nite
Justin still got it. What a voice.
How are they still this fucking good? Amazing video, thanks from the UK!
Wow, 2022 and justin still has it. Pure talent. Awesome!
From Lowestoft, Suffolk. Just down the road from me. Seen them play many times and they never let you down. 🤪❤️🇬🇧

@user-kl9zu7qw9gJustin had addiction problems, Dan later had treatment for cancer. People sometimes seem to confuse the two.
