All right!! The Edibles at Night are now a functioning (kind of) rhythm section!! You guys really make my Thursday's, I can't wait to get home and see what you have concocted this week for the band! Tonight's episode was especially nice with that spectacularly lovely 73 Jazz Bass, I can imagine Victor Wooten, or Pino Palladino or even my countryman Geddy Lee, hitting the sofa every Thursday evening to catch the meteoric rise of this band, captured for posterity by the totally fly, Miss Jen!! The addition of the drums just keeps the playing honest, I simply cannot wait to see what this amazing band of talented musicians does next!!!🎶🎸🎻🥁🎵🎶🔊

That Chic riff became even more famous thanks to The Sugar Hill Gang, but since sampling wasn’t a thing yet the bass player had to play the riff over and over for 8 minutes straight without making a mistake.

Yep keep Joel in the band! Why not cut a CD and sell it proceeds to the Midnight Mission? I would buy it and I’m over the Pond in the UK! Why not do this every day just putting the accent on the guitar and have Tod play a P bass every day except Thursday!

I was wondering ... what is the black rectangular piece below the strings on the pick guard on the Jazz bass? And what purpose does it serve?
Some players rest there fingers on it...Its a finger rest.
I have seen some mount it above the strings for their thumb...if it was my everyday player,I'd take it off
