the 80s music , was the best , and how we lived , the younger generation don"t , know how easy it was to live back in the 80s , and the music there was, we all wish we could go back in time , and live the 80s again , god bless every one ..

Really well done! A few years before he passed away (R.I.P.), I actually met Benjamin Orr who sang this song, a really nice guy.. very down to earth.. as the saying goes. This is one of my favorite songs, there is a lot of memories that flood back into my head of "those times" way back in the 80's. One other thing that I like to compliment you on, is your doing all of this on real synths. while I "really do" like VST in sound production, it's a lot different doing it live! LOL. I'm not sure if you have one, but it may be of interest to your to pick up an analog monosynth, I have a Arturia microbrute and a Berhinger Crave module, they only play one note at a time as they are monophonic.. but You get some really "fat / big" sounds from them. Have a great weekend!
OMG, I've just read your comments. Sorry about that. What a hinor meeting him, my Goodness! Drive is one of my favorite songs ever. Thank you so much for your words and for understanding/recognizing my work. Regarding a new family member, I'm considering buying a Korg Wavestate. Again, thank you so much!
Thank you very much! My friend, I'm sorry, but I sold my FA-06 two years ago. I got another keyboard, and I don't remember what patches I used to record this song. ☹️ But you're gonna love the FA-06. It has most of the 80's sounds and it's extremely easy to edit and record songs.
Great job. But can someone do it on a analog keyboard like the original. My new behringer ms 1 is a roland sh101 clone is spot on.. but I'm not the best keyboard player. Hell i guess i will just sit down and do it
OMG! This sounds amazing! I have been trying to play this song, but I can't find a style/rhythm that fits (3 syncopated beats then the hard synth 4th downbeat.) Your style/drums sound perfect!! Where did u get it?! Did you use a downloadable style or create it yourself, and if so, how did you create it? Btw, I have a Yamaha PSR-EW410. Thanks so much!!
Hi, Marc. First of all, tks a lot for your comment. I recorded the drums on the Roland FA-06. The FA-06 is a workstation, a category of keyboard that has dedicated recording tracks, normally 16, that allows you to create/record whatever you want, note by note. I'm not familiar with the PSR series, but, as far as I know, it has programmed drum rhythms that cannot be edited (correct me if I'm wrong). Whenever you have a chance, try to get a Roland FA-06. It's loaded with hundreds of 80's sounds, and it's very easy to operate. And it's not pricey! Let me know if you have any doubts. Cheers! 🤜🤛
