thank you so much for the content you have been posting on TH-cam Channel. May I suggest/ask something? Can you please teach us how to create a multilanguage Dashboard in Power BI? I have looking for something on Google, and TH-cam and so far I couldn't find anything. Please, can you help me with this?
I like the second trick. I was looking for a solution similar to that, where I can store the logic of the time intelligence calculation, for example YTD/QTD/MTD/PY in one place. My hope is to keep all the logic of the time filters in one place, and then apply those filters to the actual measures like Total Sales YTD/QTD/MTD/PY, Total Cost YTD/QTD/MTD/PY, Total Qty YTD/QTD/MTD/PY. By doing that, we will make sure the time intelligence are calculated at the exact time frame across the board
Three fantastic tricks that seem simple after the explanation, but only because of your great ability to make complicated things simple. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
All the three tricks are awesome😊 The first one is very creative that creating a table reference to the Calendar. The second one is like calculation group a bit, cool! The last one is Wow, never think of that strick equal sign😮
This is a great idea, thank you. In the disconnected table, you can have only Month & Year field if the intention is to use it as a slicer . Store less fields , lesser the size of the pbix file.

Great video. Regarding the 1st trick. Can we implement the same without additional table.? Captured the relevant month in Dax Add remove filter And filter by less than the relevant date. Pretty similar to what you showed but replace the additional table by bit complex Dax code probably Thanks again. Moving to trick #2😂
Very helpful. One question - in the first trick, the numbers are showing the comma separator between million/thousand after two digits. What causes that?
Great and very helpful Video. Thank you so much. I think it is called „Lakh“ for 100.000 . So 5 „lakh“ is 500.000. „Crore“ is 10 millions. Makes me remenber my father he was always callacuting in this Units and we children didn‘t understand it in Germany. RIP Abbu.
Sir in the first trick letz suppose I have multiple visuals in the page and I want to do it only for a particular visual and for the rest of the visual it shud pick it from the slicer but in your case it is disconnected table how to achieve it then?
Hey Chandeep... Could you please do a video on TIMETABLE (Not the CALENDAR TABLE)... searched all over TH-cam and found nothing in this regard.... I am working on Case history data of Salesforce... Case ageing requires up to seconds level granularity... This particular topic has no video....
If you get tired of the "TH-cam thumbnail face" expressions (which you have mentioned previously as an occupational hazard), you should experiment with some AI to get Picasso-esque variations, like two mouths where the eyes go.
Wow. The detailrows function? ..i did not know about it! Great but I really don’t like that this is not possible from clean BI (without Tabular editor)

Awesome, all three are great especially the third trick. Thanks Chandeep

Calculation groups are your friend in that case :)
Three fantastic tricks that seem simple after the explanation, but only because of your great ability to make complicated things simple.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
Happy to help :)
Trick Number 1: 1:00
Trick Number 2: 4:05
Trick Number 3: 8:07
Superb video. Absolutely insane those tricks! Thank you.
Stellar video! I am also really enjoying your courses!
Instead of max (...) can we write selectedvalue(calendar disconnect...)?
Sure !! They gave me the same output
All 3 are fantastic!!!
Wow, I have not seen that coming! This is simply amazing.

Such useful tricks , 2nd one was something i didn't knew about , Got to learn something new , thanks Chandeep!!
The second trick is brilliant! Thank you, didn't know about it, it will come in really useful when I need a complicated filter :)
Trick 1 Q)
Why don't we use the main calendar table in calculating the total sales measure?
same question!
Chandeep your ability to breakdown such complex topics and teach them so well is simply amazing
This is a great idea, thank you. In the disconnected table, you can have only Month & Year field if the intention is to use it as a slicer . Store less fields , lesser the size of the pbix file.
Agree 💯
Very good content. Thank you soo much
Is it not possible to define a detail row expression in power bi? Is this type distinction visible in the semantic layer of power bi?

Well done Boss. ❤
Thanks :)) Useful tricks
Very helpful. One question - in the first trick, the numbers are showing the comma separator between million/thousand after two digits. What causes that?
That's not an error. That's the number format in India
That's an eye for detail. That's the way numbers are formatted in India.

Tnx. Really great!
First one most useful for me- but all 3 are great 🎉
Damn awesome!
Goodly by name, Goodly by nature 👍
Sir in the first trick letz suppose I have multiple visuals in the page and I want to do it only for a particular visual and for the rest of the visual it shud pick it from the slicer but in your case it is disconnected table how to achieve it then?
You can use edit interaction for other visuals
Very Nice
Great! thank u

@@GoodlyChandeep Sure... Chandeep will share some data..
Tnx
Second trick is very useful
The trick number 3 helps understand why (NOT ISBLANK && 0) and (BLANK && 0) may return very different results …
If you get tired of the "TH-cam thumbnail face" expressions (which you have mentioned previously as an occupational hazard), you should experiment with some AI to get Picasso-esque variations, like two mouths where the eyes go.
That's a really good idea 💡😁
2nd: need to check if that will work for RLS
✔✔
For the first trick, I guess that It works too using SELECTED VALUE instead of MAX, right?
It won't unless the disconnected table is at the granularity of a month
@@GoodlyChandeep got it, thanks
