i love claw games like this one. One more tip i have that isn't in the video is go for things that have (collars jewlry ect.) the claw will grab the collar so u have a better chance of winning hope this tip helps someone great video!

Excellent video. These claw games are my current fascination.
I have noticed that the machines with the wider tynes will pick up an animal in an upright position by the head, while a machine with tynes that are more closely placed is more prone to pick up animal by the butt. Is the wider-tyne machine a newer model? I have noticed that the wider-tyne version is replacing the closer-tyne model in many places recently.
so if its right by the dropoff (the little "home free" square)are your chances better of getting it? cause i was trying to win an ipod that way

Allen i have got to ask you something. I am new to Claw Machines but in Ocean City ( a place near where i live) they have Nintendo Ds' in a claw machine. Tell me do you think it would even be possible to catch one? They are in boxes and are laying on their backs.

I method I thought of with the iPod ones is to try and put it near the chute and when the claw drops the item would go over the chute.
I need help...why does my crane wont move even tho I already catch the toy all the way up..it stuck and cant move until it drop off for no reason

I've went to carnivals and there are like expensive prizes at the crane machines like PSPs and Nintendo DSes. Do you think they rigged it to be like nearly impossible to get since the prizes are pretty good?
sorry, this is old, but let's say that over the course of several weeks/months/whatever 399 people try to get the iphone, and then i play once, could i get the iphone (if it was positioned correctly) or is it 400 in a certain period of time?

me and my friends were at the beach for like 3 days and we went on the board walk and spent about $20 each! I only won one thing because it rolled into the prize hole, but it was worth it! I will really use this tips later on, thanks!

does anyone have any tips on how to get big boxes? im trying to get a mario kart remote control car, but they are stacked into groupes of 3 or 4 and the claw doesnt go around.
@funnylittlegirl12345 I tried one today. Has those medium sized angry birds. I picked up a piggy about 3 times and it just goes weak and drops it after a few seconds. Just like the 3rd type in the video there. I don't know if it is possible to win on that type. I hope we get the machines with the smaller angry birds. i've seen videos with them and they are easier to get.

i have a big choice at my local bowling alley that costs $.25 per play its hard to line up because it doesnt have a joystick it has the two buttons but is also extremely easy if the prize is not wedged in

I am wondering what I should put in my machines, I used to use stuffed animals but recently started using Ipod Touches, Ipod nanos, watches, Zhu Zhu Pets, Webkinz, ect... Claw machines are so much fun. Another hint is that if you go to an arcade and you see a little keyring one next to a bigger one, or a UFO catcher (Two prong one) next to a bigger one, go for those. They give a prize almost every time, to encourage you to waste time/money on the bigger, rigged machine. =)

tommrow on sunday im going down to my grans holiday beach home, and just downthe road is a amusments arcade, and i hate the skill cranes there, and iv been looking for tips, no one ever wins there.
me and my friend are going to try to get a ipod touch at the crane machine in busch gardens va.
of the 3 times i've won a claw machine, 2 was at this small privately owned restaurant, one was at wallmart, two were dolls and all were stiff-ish medium0sized creatures with vertical bodies sticking strigte up. the real trick to pick something easy to win.
i love winning.

this is extremely helpful! one time i saw a family and two ppl would go around the other side and wave their arms to help the person playing get the claw directly over the toy... see the white kissing bears in front? i have them.got 'em from good wills could be the exact same ones ^.^

when he said that they will stay for weeks or months once i went to a place and the claw i played i dint win yrs later wen i came back the claw was exactly but not even a tiny diffrence the way i found it not even 1 winner in 5 yrs

Thanks for the tips. Me and my friend Nick like trying to clean out crane machines and whoever does theirs first wins. So far I did 2 and he did 1. Winner gets all of the prizes earned.
I know a machine i play regularly whoever loads it does a poor job and sometimes i can nudge an item off the edge without even picking it up with the claw. :)
there's another thing, sometimes the claw will drop at an angle, so it makes it harder to win.

Today at the movie theater, I used $5 ($1 per play) and I won 5 stuffed animal. First: Fail, Second: 3 stuff, Third: Fail, Fourth: 1stuff, Fifth: 1 stuff. Practice makes perfect, I've been doing this since I was little, and everywhere I go, and theres a claw machine, theres no questions asked, I have to look and see if I can win something. If the prizes are not positioned to win, I usually pass. I usually spend $5-$10 per game... Sometimes, I don't stop until I actually get something!

when i was a kid my local mcdonalds had a machine with a pink furby (this was back when furbies were all the rage) that was in there for a good 2 years before it just disappeared one day. i wonder if someone won it.
Well ok i was close. By the way, you are very good at the claw machines and you are lucky to live in the US there are soooooooooo many many many claw machines. I live in Macedonia and believe it or not, here we have only 6 claw machines and all of them are in the capital city.
