The most impressive thing about Harry Mack is that he doesn't just rhyme the words, he rhymes about whole idea of the word. He's not rhyming apple with Snapple, he's rhyming words with quantum physics then talking about things actually related it and the whole subject. The man's brain in unlimited.

This is fire! But what's crazy, and hard to believe for non fans, is that this isn't even Harry at his best. Mack can switch up his flow effortlessly, he can create hooks and songs off the top, he can double and triple time off the top (Rap God or Break Ya Neck freestyle), give him some room and he's one of the best storytellers too! Not to mention drumming and freestyling at the same time. Mack is God status.

Black thought is still one of a kind tho. I will admit, when it comes to pure off the top freestyling, harry mack will probably take the crown for at least a few decades, but black thought makes you think deep. He comes with the content. If you guys never seen Slug and Eyedea on the wake up show that was a legendary freestyle back in the day. In the early 2000s Slug and Eyedea also had a mixtape called "We Really Freestyle" released in an era where it was becoming increasingly acceptable to read lyrics off your phone and call it a freestyle. They would do stuff like ask the crowd to give them topics at the end of their shows or just give each other random words/topics in the middle of their freestyles. Probably the coolest part is that they had really good chemistry and could bounce rhymes off of each other really well. I say all that because knowing the era that Harry came up in, I'm sure Harry has heard their stuff and it likely inspired a lot of his own stuff. 👍

Harry Mack's freestyles are so good that I feel people miss how in-depth and creative he gets with his word plays. Hell even I need to go back sometimes and re-listen to what he just said just to have my mind blown again. "They gonna Marvel at my lyrics from LA to DC" I mean the word play for Marvel Comics is insane. Harry is from LA and tosses the lyrics going across the country to DC and then the play on words with DC comics as well and using marvel as a verb in the same sentence. I mean honestly how the hell can someone just come up with that on the spot. It's insanity.
He uses "They gonna Marvel at my lyrics from LA to DC" a lot, so it's not exactly on the spot. No freestyler is literally inventing 100% of it off the dome. Harry even acknowledges in his interview on Whiskey Ginger that what makes his freestyle off the dome is that nothing is preplanned in advance. It's akin to jazz artists who have a rich and deep library of licks and grooves in their repertoire and they can mix them together on the spot.
That was one of the things i was looking forward to for his eventual sway performance shame we didn’t get it. Hopefully they release so behind the scenes stuff or Harry does a special behind the bars episode for this appearance

Every line he spits is a punchline, it’s crazy how quickly his mind processes. He don’t just rhymes the words, he does a scheme on every single word. And you guys gave him questions like “favorite president” & “fave cars” which most people would need time just to think of an answer and he had no time to think, he just went off with it. There’s so many other bars that I know went over people’s heads too like when he said “this Mack Mc be stacking the cheese” he also be referring to “Mac & Cheese” as in macaroni & cheese. Another crazy thing he did was he re-traced what he said earlier in the middle of the freestyle and brought it back. Earlier in the freestyle he said, “cold lyrics matching the temperatures of Antarctica,” he brought back “cold lyrics” when he said “cold lyrics, hot bars; hold up, that’s a hybrid!” He’s just on a whole new level. Not only does he deserve to be on Sway in the morning but he deserves it all. Put him in a cypher with Eminem, King Los, Slaughterhouse, and all the other freestyle greats. He has videos in his channel where people gave him words or a topic & created a hook while freestyling and basically created song while free styling and it’s better that most tracks people took months to write lol

If you guys never seen Slug and Eyedea on the wake up show that was a legendary freestyle back in the day.
In the early 2000s Slug and Eyedea also had a mixtape called "We Really Freestyle" released in an era where it was becoming increasingly acceptable to read lyrics off your phone and call it a freestyle. They would do stuff like ask the crowd to give them topics at the end of their shows or just give each other random words/topics in the middle of their freestyles. Probably the coolest part is that they had really good chemistry and could bounce rhymes off of each other really well.
I say all that because knowing the era that Harry came up in, I'm sure Harry has heard their stuff and it likely inspired a lot of his own stuff. 👍

Harry Mack's freestyles are so good that I feel people miss how in-depth and creative he gets with his word plays. Hell even I need to go back sometimes and re-listen to what he just said just to have my mind blown again. "They gonna Marvel at my lyrics from LA to DC" I mean the word play for Marvel Comics is insane. Harry is from LA and tosses the lyrics going across the country to DC and then the play on words with DC comics as well and using marvel as a verb in the same sentence. I mean honestly how the hell can someone just come up with that on the spot. It's insanity.

Harry even acknowledges in his interview on Whiskey Ginger that what makes his freestyle off the dome is that nothing is preplanned in advance. It's akin to jazz artists who have a rich and deep library of licks and grooves in their repertoire and they can mix them together on the spot.

Every line he spits is a punchline, it’s crazy how quickly his mind processes. He don’t just rhymes the words, he does a scheme on every single word. And you guys gave him questions like “favorite president” & “fave cars” which most people would need time just to think of an answer and he had no time to think, he just went off with it.
There’s so many other bars that I know went over people’s heads too like when he said “this Mack Mc be stacking the cheese” he also be referring to “Mac & Cheese” as in macaroni & cheese.
Another crazy thing he did was he re-traced what he said earlier in the middle of the freestyle and brought it back. Earlier in the freestyle he said, “cold lyrics matching the temperatures of Antarctica,” he brought back “cold lyrics” when he said “cold lyrics, hot bars; hold up, that’s a hybrid!”
He’s just on a whole new level. Not only does he deserve to be on Sway in the morning but he deserves it all. Put him in a cypher with Eminem, King Los, Slaughterhouse, and all the other freestyle greats.
He has videos in his channel where people gave him words or a topic & created a hook while freestyling and basically created song while free styling and it’s better that most tracks people took months to write lol
