Bottle was purchased by me. If you can, I suggest trying to find a partial bottle from eBay like I did because the original retail price is astronomical ($375 for 100 mL on the Serge Lutens official website. What the F?). I mentioned that I got a sample from Beauty Habit in the video, but I remembered that US retailers have pulled out almost all of their Serge Lutens fragrances off the websites. =(

Hi Yve! Thank you! great review. I am a huge fan of Serge Lutens, I have a sample of Chene but I hadn't realised how good it is! After your review and retrying it, I want it! I don't normally like immortelle, but Chene is so good!
Have you tried fille en aiguilles, what do you think of it?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Anastasia! Fille en Aiguilles is a fragrance I respect and admire, but I prefer the smell of strong pine in candles than on myself. Beautiful scent though

@@yvespiderssmells9956 I haven't but I did blind buy a palais royal bottle from Italy but the seller had to cancel as he couldn't send it via packlink as it was a perfume and we're not in Europe anymore 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I sampled this a long time ago, and remember really liking it as well. Thanks Yve.
Lovely review, you captured every facet of this scent. It really is an ode to oak, the scent of being next to an oak with moss on it and from a chopped log that fresh, resinous scent that emanates.
Fortunately I don't have the clunky black truncheon of a bottle but the old style palais royal which really do complement these fragrances. I don't get the Gratte Ciel design of bottle at all, they fall over more often than not.

What 3 fragrance from this house would you recommend? I like florals, woody, girly fragrances.
Probably Datura Noir, Santal Majuscule, and any of their white florals (my favorite is Un Lys, but quite a lot of folks also enjoy Fleurs d'oranger).
