Rapalas are good crankbaits, but for the money, I could buy two Walley Divers and catch just as many fish. My personal record was 41 walleye (I had to release most of them, of course) caught on a chartreuse and orange Walley Diver. My buddy had a perch colored Shad Rap which wasn't catching nearly as many. Nothing against Rapala, as they work pretty well, but with as many snags as you get in South Dakota lakes, I'll take a lower priced lure.
@gorillaz2424 Here in NW ohio I live half an hour from a Gander Mountain, and Bass Pro Shops, and about 45 to 50 minutes from the Cabelas in Michigan. The said part is that there aren't many instate lakes in this area, just small (Under 55 Acres) resevoirs.
@KidsKicksforChrist If you learn how to tie bucktails, you can make good lures for next to nothing. Crankbaits have their time, but it's rare indeed when you can catch fish with cranks and not spinners. I run hand tied spinners and jigs now, and I can make them for cents instead of dollars. Just don't cheap out TOO much and run the synthetic hair. They don't swim like real bucktails.
Great value of this videos

looks really good
