For a brand new build I was thoroughly impressed with the capability and strength. Y'all did a fantastic job on that thing in not a lot of time.
my good friend had a red wj on a 6 inch in high school and this just makes me reminisce i love this build i want to do one of these just like this one day
I would recommend fabricating some new rear brake caliper brackets so you could clock them up a little higher so they are less vulnerable to rock strikes.
The T plumbing on the case vents might be the reason they are not venting correctly and puking up oil instead. Individual lines may do a much better job of properly venting.
I’m gonna say that bent link end was Matt Bajaing it to that overlook. I cringed when you hit that wall on passenger side going about 15mph😮😬
Put dynomat around the fuel pump. That stuff works wonders, made for big sound systems in vehicles to stop vibrations.
I did the escalator. Took about 15 minutes. Haha. Just a little damage. Had to go back and get my license plate. Thank you bleeping jeep for the discount on drive shafts.
T-case vent idea, put a cheap fuel filter just above the T oriented vertically to allow drain back of any fluids, it will act as an expansion chamber allowing venting but trapping the oil.
The PSC is tough but a rock will ruin the ram when it scrapes a nice gouge in it and then destroys the seals. I wouldn't run it with out armor, but that's me armor the frick out of everything!
You can get mounts that bolt into the 12 bolt fill hole to run an internal pump. Might help keep it quieter.
Matt you crack me up with your Dr pepper while you're driving. Just another great video.
always gotta have the Dr. ready in case of emergency!
Josh, you should be REALLY proud of Bumble, it worked great right out of the garage. A couple of "minor" problems with a new build is totally normal. The one thing i noticed in this video is that the passenger front coilover shaft is slightly bent.
I own a zj and am upgrading as well so i love seeing you guys build grand cherokee's. That thing is awesome, great job josh. Keep it up.
Right on!
Awesome build! Thing did awesome in Moab!
Can’t wait to see what you guys do with the roll cage🔥
Can’t wait to see more of the WJ excellent build.
I like seeing build series like this seeing the struggles and how you get through them I learn a lot from that. Like the Comanche and scorpion build series
Now I gotta say the fast run through the obstacles makes for a fun video to watch. It like being at an extreme rally race. I think you guys hit on something there. 😂
Mistakes and fails gives you wisdom and knowledge 🤘🤘
I was super impressed with it. Think you guys did a awesome job!!! Knew it would kill it in Moab Utah. Keep it up Bleepin Jeep
I think Matt’s smash up the ledge ditching the Toyotas is what bent the joint on the front right lower.
That would have done it lol...but it was the rear left lower. We just had the camera facing backwards
@@joshshine2489 huh. I stand corrected
For the anti-sway it would be a good idea to box it in triangleur from the bracket. 👍
I was completely impressed with how well it worked , to be honest I was expecting you guys to baby it in Utah and treat it like the unproven rig it is but it got flogged on like a rental! I’m still not sold on the D44 but it does have RCV’s and a Ox so it’s as strong as it can be ..I’ve just seen many a 44 ring/pinion die from 40’s. And Josh I’m with you on Walden’s ridge..it scares the §hit out me with or without a cage.
no baby treatment here!
I got one of them backpack tool bags and it works great. You gotta think about getting one. They got compartments for everything and it holds all the stuff zips up and you can use the backpack straps in the back to tie it down
Well done on that build guys, what an amazing rig.
I know you guys build an awesome Jeep, it performed very well awesome job fellas!
Haven't tuned in for a while. Garage is SICKKKK. great job and enjoy the hell out of it.
thanks! Still a work in progress but its getting there
That was your jeeps 1st shakedown, that wasn't anything that you have been fixing and it still gets messed up..I would be proud to drive a jeep you guys built . All your builds are great the way you guys put them together . Keep up the great work you guys and God bless.
Thanks 👍
It looks great and everything went good!!!
I love that Jeep 🤩
Thanks! 👍
It was a good shake down.
Personally i think the WJs are best, aside from the 2dr Cherokees. Id love to see a Scorpion 2.0 using a WJ
Great information guys. God bless you all.
Matt!!! Bro please open every video with "Beautiful day in the neighborhood" while zipping up a red sweater! 😂
More 10 to 15 minutes videos on the onX build should create more viewers seeing the onX challenge build and get them to vote, vote, vote. Good luck and hope the S10 Bleeping Wins the challenge. Great video of the Jeep build.
That 4.7 V8 sounds sooooo good
rubber bushings to mount the fuel pump! Dont cover it or it will get HOT!
not if you properly vent it
For the oil being pulled out of the t case I'm wondering if having them tied together is causing a venturi effect, more pressure coming from one case pulling fluid from the other case.
To fix the issue with the front 3 link just get rid of that fork style bushing nonsense. Cut it off and put a normal joint in there. That’s why people run the upper on the passenger side so you can put a tower off the axle and have a normal joint.
I’m just overall amazed the d44 help up together
build em strong and they will last much longer than people give them credit for.
I'd suggest Dynamat on the outside of the fuel cell. It's normally for damping sound resonance from audio systems. Since it's essentially rubber mat it should take the hum out of that fuel pump.
might give that a try!
Need a catch can on the 4.7 to stop the smoking on extreme angles.
There is the possibility that is due to the oil hitting the crank and swamping the piston rings.
For a tool bag.....
How about a motorcycle cargo net.
A friend of mine had a ammo box for tools in his Bronco. He complained about the noise and it bouncing around.
I suggested old speaker magnets inside of the ammo box with plywood on top of the magnets. He said it worked great to hold the box down, but he had to go with thicker plywood so that he could get the tools out of the ammo box.
🤔 👍🏻 🤣
It will be interesting to check how it drives on highway
It drove well...not like a stock vehicle but for what it is 65-70 was no problem :)
Cool video Guy's! I wish my WJ was like yours! Soon to be.
Holley makes a bolt in fuel cell module 6 bolt or 12. In tank pump less noise ! Single or twin pumps
When you make the box around tank….. maybe you can use factory fuel door as a vent system.
My WJ tack bar bracket on frame side is wallowed out and it pops like a .22lr when turning quickly, a tiny little pop outside the rig can sound horrendous in the driver seat. Gonna drill it out and put Kevins OffRoad upgrade kit into it with my IRO adjustable beefy trac bar. Popping will be fixed. Its been 2 yrs lol, just have not gotten around to it.
I actually like the front bumper you guys built on that WJ I’m wondering if I could do something similar on my WK2
If you built it with tons you wouldn't have any top heavy problems as well. The pats are great on Moab rock. They just suck in anything loose
Thanks guys
You should rubber mount that fuel pump it may help a lot because the noise from your description sounds like more of a resonance noise. You can get little rubber studs of all sizes with a male stud on one end and female threads in the other. You may have to mount your clamp thing to a little plate that's rubber mounted if you want to use that blue clamp mount thingy.
Nice build
For storage look at the wj storage window replacements
Been wanting to install the window box since I crushed my rear quarter panel. The window has not broken, yet... As soon as it breaks the box is going in.
That guy on 33's with his Cherokee.
You guys built one heck of a rig. It's cool to see what the (few) weak points are
What axles are they on? Or gear?
@@tylercollins208 they said it's running Dana 44's on 40 inch Milestar Patagonias
@@mendonesiac would it be just a new front end and a Dana 44A
Jk 44's front and rear. The fronts have the thicker "military" tube
@@joshshine2489 thanks Josh!
I thought when you had a fuel cell inside the vehicle you should have a firewall separating it from the driver compartment? Maybe it's just racing vehicles for safety reasons. A battery shut off outside on the back of the vehicle and maybe on the dash too.
Technically yeah you probably should. I do have a battery cutoff on the dash though
I love the WJ content!!!
That fuel pump needs to be mounted lower, it should be below fuel level. It will be quieter and last longer, they need to be gravity fed. That’s why it gets noisy when the fuel level comes down.
Probably should get rid of the fuel cell in the cab, fumes, leaks, what happens when it leaks during a roll over? Crispy critters.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I I was told by a fabrication expert that when it comes to those joints, you don’t want more than 3 to 5 threads, sticking out of your tube, the more threads that stick out the more chance of breaking that part is
Ideally thats what would have been better...clearance with the top of the mount is why we didnt. May have to rethink it a bit and do it a little different
Drill a hole out the bottom make ya a fuel vapor hose so it can ventilate out. Maybe it will work maybe it wont 😂
Great job on the bumble, she did good and held together rather well. I’m curious if the exhaust is from iron rock? I’m looking to order it for my WJ 4.0
Yes it is, that was covered in one of the build videos a few videos back.
That rig is a bad mofo !!
Great work !!
Matt you can let him use the patent to the Scorpion tool carrier 😂😂
You need resivior shocks to do that stuff
I was wondering when Colt was getting a nice new garage like yours?
In tank pump is worth every penny and time to do it.
How did you route the vent line I went cruising and my rca cell is mounted inside as well no matter what I did with the vent line gas would purge out of is spilling fuel everywhere
if you google it there are some tips for routing the lines so they wont do that, basically you have to wrap the fuel cell completely 360 degrees.
On the fuel tank box, why not do an exhaust fan like boats use? Obviously, the goal is no leaks, but in case of one exhaust the fumes to the exterior of the vehicle via under the rear cargo floor board or a rear fender. Huffing fuel all day is crappy.
its not that bad with the windows down 😲
Nice video guys
The temporary permanent fix. The best ones😂.
There is nothing more permanent than a temporary fix that works. :)
Why not flap-wheel the sharp edges off so it doesn't chaff the PS hoses?
Real curious what you build the cage out of and if weight savings will be a focal point? I want to back half my 6 point cage into a family cage in my SOA stretched cj7 but the balance is perfect right now; I’m a little apprehensive to add more weight up high..
ya, its a give and take but you cant make a decent cage out of thin tubing, .120 wall is the only way to go.
Oh for sure! I wouldnt dream of skimping on the “family” portion or any portion for that matter, my thought was more; would one even consider chromoly vs DOM or CDS if center of gravity and balance was of major interest. I’ve never worked with chromoly but it appears fit up is very important.

I'm getting ready to build a ZJ, and I'd love for it to be half of what the WJ is. Can you give us a ballpark of what it cost you to do everything so far?
we try not to add it up so we dont have an exact number for the wives! lol
How do you transport your vehicles back and forth from Tennessee to Moab ?
👍
Can we please keep the 4.7 in the wj, thing sings 🤟
Matt thinking like a firefighter again. Weird.
🤘🏼🇺🇸
Looks like the threads aren’t past the locking bolts for that flex joint
They are...the threads are super long on those. Theres still a couple inches in the tubes
@@joshshine2489 awesome. Was hard to tell in the video. Love that jeep man and your guys videos. Thing took a beating. 👌
that thumbnail pic makes you look like a rasta man :)
What do you use to cut your tires?
Rocks, lol.
amzn.to/445gD1z this guy
That lower needs to be longer. To many threads showing.
Wait, y’all said Walden’s Ridge is that the Walden’s in Chattanooga, Tennessee?
well, its the same ridge but about 70 miles further north.
@@bleepinjeepOh ok well that’s good to know I live at the foot of Walden’s on the south side of it lol
C'mon josh fix your bleepin jeep!!
😎🇺🇸🇺🇸😎
How does it ride on the highway
rides ok on the highway but I wouldnt try and take it across the country or anything.
Long story short the almost bone stock xj put a whoopin on the fully built wj . Lol just kidding it's a nice build tho.
Vent the box
I have used EZ-turn lubricant for years for any fuel gasket sealant. I have used this on aircraft for many years It will seal any fuel or oil leaks.
Nothing wrong with the wj
When are you going to help colt with the onX build?
He's been up there this past week.
last week
MORE WJ
Yeah... I think I just don't have "the bug". I don't understand the point of all of this.
✌👍☕cz
So we gonna see bumble on vs channel?
hmmm, might have to do that!
What happened to the Chubby Chaser?
Are you sure colt wasn't driving the bumble
Try using a larger vent line >>> Why >>> th-cam.com/video/r8lN3hDZxb0/w-d-xo.html
Its a wj that’s what’s wrong 😑
Uhm I don't think posting video of mobbing at high speed in Moab is a good idea. There are several groups working hard to get 50% of our trails shut down. Desert race at the dunes not in Moab, and don't post everything you do because anti-jeep people are watching too.
