Ahh ... you kids and your traction control, when I was growing up it was called working the clutch. 🤣😂 Looked like a good day to be out riding, I love overcast days. We don't get many in AZ. 390 KTM a great bike, it looked very clean from the handlebars. Thank you, Frank,.

Hello Dave, traction control saved me in Yellowstone. I was on a corner, not paying attention, and the rear wheel came around. The TC kicked in and killed power to thr wheel. I probably would have low sided, and been run over by Andrew who was right behind me, if it had not.
I turn the TV off on the 390, but the darn thing turns on anytime you stop the bike. Very annoying! They changed that with the 2022 model. - Frank

@@OneOldManRidingThsts a pretty cool story Frank, I have had it on several bikes but never noticed it activating like that. I’m glad it was there for you. The T700 abs needs to be reset to off road mode each time the engine is turned off as well. They have a fix “dongle” at almost $200 but I’m too cheap to get it, at least for now. Good video Frank.

Depends on which Mitas tire, they all react / feel different.

I have almost 20K miles with the Mitas E-07 +, and I woukd not agree. I run this tire in the winter in Upstate NY, that's pretty cold pavement!
I have heard the Dakar, which is a harder compound is slippery in cold pavement, but I have not run yhem.
The Mitas is my go to rear tire. The traction / lifespan is, in my experience, unmatched. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank

I run the E-07 + in New York winters, it's been very successful for me! - Frank

@@OneOldManRiding I like the E-07 rear tires but I don't feel their front performs as well. The TKC-80 or Shinko 804 front tires seem to offer a lot better traction on gravel and dirt. Of course, "YMMV" 😉

Hi, I have enjoyed your videos and was a subscriber bur unsubscribed because the last couple of times a video appeared in my feed I'd click on it and be told it was members only. Surely I can't be the only one who finds that irritating enough to unsubscribe?

Hello Mark, while there are member onky videos, they should not be showing up on feeds like that! My apologies. This is the first time I have heard of it, thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment! - Frank
