Really great. Perlman totally getting down! I love his form even more that ever! Very laid back and still amazing as ever. Wish I could've been there.

wow that's neat..did anyone watch the Grammy's and see that Perlman was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award? Glad to see they recognized his awe-inspiring talent with this prestigious award. Congratulations, Itzhak!

Much of the traditional klezmer repertoire was written by professional klezmer musicians in the style of their region or tradition, and a lot of co-territorial music such as non-Jewish folksongs, especially Romanian music (mainly from Moldavia), as well as Ukrainian music and Ottoman music, and the musics of other minorities living in the same areas as Jews in Southeastern Europe such as Crimean Tatars.

wow..i did not know Itzhak Perlman would be caught DEAD playing music like this with a drummer and not playing classical. this kind of music is cool though. i guess it's jewish or something? or greek? forgive me i don't know. i guess even the greatest classical musicians like a little variety!

.¿Qué es "klesmer"? Judío, me gusta. Estudié algo de hebreo. Me enriqueció.Parece "el violinista en el tejado".Gracias, ya busque y ya sé qué es kleimer. Ashkenazi.
