I think my favorite warhorn is the Yard Sale. It may be ugly, but it sounds like the Reaper horn from Mass Effect, and I'm all about that. That one is reserved for my beloved Dire Wolf Prime. My other two favorites are the Cameron Star and the Ram's Horn warhorns
I like the ones that aren't super obnoxious, like Tango Down or the Smoke Jaguar (wish it was a bit louder though). Except for the Meep on a piranha or something. That's just funny.
Bara's preemptive throttle control is brilliant. Solid tactics aside, if there is any takeaway from watching him it's the very adept positioning which takes practice practice practice.
He is good at medium and heavy mech positioning. And these skills really hinder his performance as a light player: when playing lights closer is safer than farther away and straight route to cover is not the best. Optimal movement patterns are totally different. Baradul plays Commando like it is a tiny bit faster 50t mech.
In a way, Flanking can be a measure of the confusion that you mention that you sow in the battlefield as a light stealth/ECM mech. Getting plenty of Flanking attacks means you're hitting them from an unexpected direction, and thus causing that confusion.
I sometimes use a stealth cicada with a RAC2 going at 130 Kph. It's hilarious to watch people diving for cover and go around confused until they realize it's from behind. When hit by a RAC they always believe I'm a heavy or assault, but when they turn around I go meep meep, and run away. Doing that repeatedly made my team won a couple of times because the enemies were too distracted to form a firing line.
Love the commando!!! Make a mini tank with the hero 4ML and a light engine.. full armor skills you can be the top of the spear. My favorite warhorn is the little light Mech beep beep but I love putting it on the assault Mech
Best warhorn is Phoenix Blue in a Hunchback IIC-B with an ATM27 / quadruple jumpjet build. I love it when I jump up high with that build and the eagle cries after I got a kill with that 81 pts alpha strike in optimal range. XD
My favourite ones are the Davison warhorn and the retro videogame one. I can't remember the exact name but it is something like that. It's a wooden arcade machine.
Newbie question here - in the second game Bara says "It's been taken already" about artillery strikes, twice. Does that mean 2 players on the same team can't launch strikes at the same time? Or did he mean "they chose to land the strike in the same spot as I did"?
There's a team global cooldown for arty and airstrikes. So once any player uses an arty strike the whole team has to wait before someone else gets to do it.
I have one of these. I think everyone should have a stealth commando to know the joy if running one of these. One night I decided to challenge myself a bit and run around without using my mouse. It went well and I even made a friend. hehe..
@@BrokenCurtain oh I love my stealth commando and I even have another commando of the same variant that I use as a light hunter and it's got streaks. I use the ECM to counter enemy ECM. Works great..
Would it not be worth it to downgrade the engine a little bit to upgrade some of the srm2s to 4s? I mean 120 or so vs 140 kph is not that much of a diferance. Especially if you drop some of those weapon perks for more accel and hill climbing or any speed perks that are left.
With head and laser arm stripped it is possible to upgrade engine to 210 XL and take 2xSRM4 with 3t of ammo. 130 kph is a crucial threshold. Below this speed most players will be able to deal decent damage to the light mech. When the speed gets higher than that the survivability of the light mech improves drastically. So I would put max engine here with full speed tweak (and majority of turn rate/acceleration nodes) - Baradul's mobility tree looks ok. It is the investment into firepower tree that can be reduced: only missile rack nodes are needed. Commando is heavily durability quirked, so investing here is super efficient too.
Da geht noch mehr bei dem COM-2D. Ich hab doch nen Small Pulse Laser mit bei. Mit Strikes und gutem Positioning kann man locker 800-900 dmg schaffen. Mein absoluter Lieblings-Light-Mech!
I was running one of these a few months back. I had two enemy lances walk right past me! I was amongst them! I just froze and they walked on by. I felt like the f'king Hobbit!
Any PPC variant does not work well with the stealth due to humongous heat generation. Aside from that the DPS from single snub would be atrocious. SRMs are indeed optimal here, though I prefer SRM4's.
Several things. 1st. This video was brought to you, or motivated by, some guy named Backshot. 2nd. "hop head: the last guy is afk J8" Baradul "hmmm, I wonder where the last guy is." Third. "let me know what your favorite warhorn is down below in the comments." As if Baradul reads his comments.
i hate when an enemy uses this mech.....although this is maybe my favorite light to use, i like the only war horn that is actually a horn the rams horn
You had a really nice wolfpack in the first game, the lights definitely carried it.

These games were played all the way back from the day he put out the energy panther video. Cool

Noooo... BrokenCurtain, not you.
@@geekdenice5355 What, why?
Steiner and... there was a special bagpipe warhorn that came out. Was it something to do with loyalty rewards?
Best War Horn? Yard Sale, no contest.
There's nothing spookier than getting gibbed by an ECM Atlas and hearing this.
I love the warhorn that sounds like the Martian Tripods from War of the Worlds....that sound...I just LOVE it!!!
Might be lunch truck. I can't quite recall, either, but I like that one too. It's on my BAS.
My favourite ones are the Davison warhorn and the retro videogame one. I can't remember the exact name but it is something like that. It's a wooden arcade machine.
Commandos are always a fun time

The first one. The cooldown is shared by the whole team

It's the first or second mech I got when I started the game. So frustrating - definitely not a mech for beginners.
@@BrokenCurtain oh I love my stealth commando and I even have another commando of the same variant that I use as a light hunter and it's got streaks. I use the ECM to counter enemy ECM. Works great..
Yard Sale and the Cameron Star. They just have that literal warhorn feel!
The Kickers, Lunch Truck and Pressure Chamber warhorns are my favorites.
The Urbie warhorn is the best... :-) Good games!
My favorite war horn is the viking ram's horn.
Stealth flea with 5 MLs is best ankle biter

i love the clan wolf horn... awooooooooooo
You said three srm 6, but you show three srm 2 and the damage points dont add up. What gives?
My dumb ass put a FE/LFE in mine because i thought it'd be funny for the enemy to blow off a torso and still be walking around.
I was running one of these a few months back. I had two enemy lances walk right past me! I was amongst them! I just froze and they walked on by. I felt like the f'king Hobbit!
Bagpipes rulez

Tier 2? what happened?
PGI reworked the PSR calculation recently, and everyone got shuffled back to T3 to start equally.
bagpipes on the highlander
So that's why I'm seeing this thing a lot lately.
I feel bad for Hop Head in the first match.
Just look at the brightside kid. You get to keep all the money...
I don't get it. If I play such a mech it's like my opponents are perfectly coordinated to attack me, and immediately switch on aimbot
clan dagger warhorn.
