    Wonderful! To save on your spackling ... put an aluminum foil ball in the middle and pipe the 'cream' around it. It will also help to prevent leaning. New subbie ... off to look at your other crafts!

      Great idea... but I love the way I do it. Glue stick don't allow many things to stick very well like it do with the spackle.

    Hey sis. I'm a new subscriber. I worked for Home Depot and saw a lot of broken DAP buckets. We joked about how much it looked like whipped cream and with a little color it would look like ice cream toppings. FANTASTIC JOB!!

      Alicia that gives me a great idea! Maybe I'll ask Home Depot and Lowe's that when they have broken buckets that they call me STAT! and I'll come take it off their hands. Every little bit that I can get out is money in my pocket. LOL!

    • @kraftingnmorewithkash7005
      @kraftingnmorewithkash7005  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Due to high demands for this particular spackling, it's been coming out a little wetter than usual. I would take the lid off and let it sit until it starts to thicken before using. The lid coming off will help the wet spackle to thicken enough to use it like whip cream

    Thank you for posting this! They look beautiful. My only concern is are these food safe?? I could see little bits of dried spackle going into the cup every time they pull the straw in and out or the liquid touching the bottom of the lid where there is exposed spackle.

    • @kraftingnmorewithkash7005
      @kraftingnmorewithkash7005  ปีที่แล้ว

      I show you how to completely cover the spackle without having to touch with straw or your mouth. Qtips, or really thin and pointy paint brushes can get into the most TIGHT spaces with epoxy foot coverage

  • @briannawarren2912
    @briannawarren2912 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    On placement of the candies on the whipped or ice cream tops some I seen you waited till the spackle was dry and some you didn’t, what’s the difference and which is better?

    • @kraftingnmorewithkash7005
      @kraftingnmorewithkash7005  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bigger candies is better to add in spackling before epoxy. Sprinkles is alot more easier to add after epoxy, that way you won't be adding 1 sprinkle at a time

    Thank you!! So just thinking out loud, but would it be possible to do the “foundation “ on top of the lid and build up your ‘core’ or centerpiece right on top of it at the same time? F so, it would all dry together and already adhered and would save the step of glueing it on. But maybe that wouldn’t work?

    • @kraftingnmorewithkash7005
      @kraftingnmorewithkash7005  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The middle pieces is to secure your whip from sinking in. It need support to stay up. No support, then your spackle will sink down in the middle. I make a lot of those from unused spackling. Once I'm done with making the lids, I'll make some small ones to use later.

    I love love this idea and your tutorial but after following the middle tower step I noticed mine is not fully drying out in the middle and it’s been well over 72 hrs. So I’m not wanting to go on the the next step until fully dry. Is it normal for it to feel spongy when I squeeze it a bit? (I do like in Kentucky and it’s a regular 40ish outside)

    Awesome tutorial, however, that tiny hole in the lid has a purpose. It allows the liquid to flow throw the straw without creating a vacuum in the cup thus making it hard to suck the liquid out. Much like how when 1 gets a really thick milkshake and the straw caves in.
