The front parts braided and rolled up (11:13) reallyy make me want to see Alexa with a vintage-ish hairstyle done with rollers and so curled up that it becomes short I think that would look so good!!!!

Purple shampoo is essentially a clarifying shampoo, which means it will actually strip out the toner faster than it will help you! It stripes any impurities on the hair in order to deposit that purple tint-in hand getting out those yellow tones. Wait until you’re feeling really brassy to use it again to get the best longevity of your toner ☺️ it looks great! 💕

omg i have very similar natural hair to you, and i love being blonde. my hairdresser is the best, and i got once every 4-6 months. whenever i go to her, i say make me as blonde as possible, without needing touchups all the time. and she does these blonde baby lights, they are perfect!!! definitely recommend if you ever go back to the salon once it is safe!!

Jennifer I have to agree I don't like going to.the hairdresser either I don't have the healthiest hair and I don't go to the hairdresser as often as I shud I don't dye my hair so the awkward silence I just don't know wat to say im a shy person 2019 i decided to go to the hairdresser very nervous very anxious but i knew it was time to go and i did it i had very frizzy long dry hair that needed to go i cut all my hair off short like a boy and i cried for two weeks after that no jokes I get wat u and Alexa were saying I feel.the exact same way when I did go to the hairdresser in 2019 I had gone with my son I was scared that if I didn't then I would have chickened out and a couple of times before that like in 2018 and 2017 I had asked my husband to come with me they were only trims

I've heard you're supposed to ensure the foil is flat, not scrunched so your hair will be bleached evenly and not spotty. I've never dyed my hair but that's what I've heard.

I had red hair for two years. Went to hairdresser to get colour removin, bleach and golden brown dye. Loved it for a while. After a month i realised red was my colour. My comfortable and only right colour for me. Tryed to keep the brown for bit more but at 2 months i just had to do it. And now the red wont stay in my hair.

I feel like we have the same natural hair color and experience; it is like a very dirty blond but as a kid and into high school i had full blond ass hair (not platinum, but very blond compared to the dirty blond now). And I've been through a similar process! Dyed my hair dark chocolate brown, didn't like it, asked the salon to dye my hair my root color and it was a darker dirty blond! I was super unhappy with it and it lead to this small existential crisis about me not knowing what my natural hair color was. Like pictures said my natural hair has always been blond blond but my roots are growing in dark dirty blond, wtf?!? Eventually i have come to love my darker dirty blond hair bc it still fits with my face and features, but i WHOLEHEARTEDLY relate to just feeling like myself with more bright blond hair. I think the bright blond looks beautiful on you and i love that you're filming this hair journey and explaining your feelings!! Love love love
im 100% asian with black hair but ive never liked my black hair. so when i had the opportunity and luxury of getting it bleached i never want to go back. its been 4 years now that ive been having my hair bleached and its soo fried 😅😂 but i still love my light hair. i might have to just snip a couple inch

I got my cosmetologist license in 2016, and after working in a salon for two years I realized it was NOT for me! Mostly for what you said, I loved the science/technique/process of color, but I did not like the pressure of my work being wholly dependent on the satisfaction/happiness of the client. I couldn’t handle it. 😅

When I used to do skincare as an esthetician I used to love when clients were silent, we were supposed to ask them would you like us to talk to you or not, if they said no the only time I would speak was to let them know the temperature of the products and process either hot or cold or whatever. It was such an awesome, calming job.
I sat in a chair for six hours to have my hair not change color at all. You couldn’t even tell it had been highlighted. I was told platinum was impossible. Three days later I dyed my entire head platinum on my own and it was perfect. Literally just do your research. So many hair stylists are just trying to rob you or coerce you into thinking you need to pay 300 dollars when you don’t
I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! I'm glad you're standing up for what you want and aren't afraid to express your hair changes. I've gone through similar anxiety struggles with hairdressers and have sometimes thought i was alone for being worried about making conversations with them.

i relate to this so baaaaad! Same natural color, same rainbow hair during my teen years, and now it is white/silverish. That's it. This is my "natural" color. I'm silver, I'm white, I'm anti yellow shampoo.

You have fine hair, right? In my experience having thin and fine hair, bleaching or no bleaching, it can be pretty much impossible to grow that type of hair to be long.
