Nothing is more terrifying than being ready at a 6am practice and there’s teammates missing at 5:55am. The feeling of hopelessness and the eerie silence of your teammates looking around at eachother wondering what the punishment will be because in the words of my coach “we win as a team and we lose as a team”.

Ryan Kruse it’s not like the NCAA isn’t already making tons of money off the players and if hey allow the players to be compensated for their likeness they will also get paid by whatever company makes the game. The NCAA should still pay the players for their likenesses and for allowing the NCAA and other tv providers to use their talent and names for public enjoyment. There’s much more to it than just the game.
These guys are going to school on half a million dollar scholarships, then complain about not getting paid. Their entire education is paid for and they get a monthly stiffen to live on.
Don’t forget mandatory study hall and tutoring 😭

I can actually see your point when it comes to college football or basketball since these 2 easily make the most money. But then all the female athletes would want their own money equal to the males. And their teams don’t make enough money for them to be paid. As for the expenses, college players receive additional money to accommodate their expenses. Smh it’s ridiculous for anyone outside of maybe men’s football and basketball to ask for any sort of scholarship.
Yea EVERYBODY would want a free education but the cutoff are those of US that arent fit physically to make it on these teams..man at the end of the day we have the freedom to say whatever we like but until we actually walk in these student athletes shoes then we really dont have a point of even talking of this matter

The NBA players you are watchinf are the same people who wakes up every 4 am and works hard through the day. Theres a reason why even third string nba players are still elite compared to other pro leagues, its because making the nba itself is hard. Thats why i hate it when people dont give them the respect they deserve.

I had never played sports in my life before, so in Sem II of Engineering, I decided to play football, I had to learn everything from scratch, so plenty of work, I'm still a noob, but long story short, I almost ended up failing in 3 courses, and my GPA is all time low now.

@levi ok why does everybody think "payed with education" is a fucking credit card that can be used to pay for student athletes PERSONAL expenses? Student athletes that are enrolled to programs that play for the NCAA make shit tons of money and goes to the school and non to the players that rack in the money in the first place. I am positive paying the players would be a minor dent in the programs already fat wallet.

This what just in highschool but I remember our regular time for practice was 5:00pm, no problem at all, but then one day they switched it to 4:00 mid day, then back to 5, then to 6, and ended up changing it about 7 times throughout the day. Needless to say, a bunch of kids were late, 8 to be exact (I was one of them) and the rule was, however many players were late, that's how many "seventeens" we had to run. A 17 is where u run from sideline to sideline 17 times, timed ofcourse and if we miss the time we run it again. Usually we would only have 2 or 3 of these in an entire practice (not including conditioning) but now we had 8, and, we had a guy who would usually fail when we only had one of them to run. He somehow nailed the first three, but then he failed 3 in a row, nailed one, failed 2, nailed 1, failed 3 nailed 1, and so on (IDK exactly but it was something like that) we ended up running probably 20-30 of these, (btw i never failed one of them, which kinda made it worse i was hella angry and eventually i told the slow kid on the very last one I'd give him $20 if he got it, and then he finally got it) Then we all shot freethrows and shot 40% and had to run again cuz of the low percentage
