I just want to say that out of all RV channels that I know of and subscribe to, yours is still one the best imo...I really enjoy them! Keep doing what you do!

LOL As a divorced man I can relate to that cause that's exactly what my materialistic ex wife expected for Christmas cause I remember she wanted a bigger diamond every year when the first one is supposed to be forever and a brand new car just for her. The last straw is when she said I wanna live in the richest neighborhood. When I first met her I shouldn't of ignored the custom tag on her red mustang that said "Spoiled Rotten", I should have ran when I saw that sign LOL. I learned the hard way for 10 years then got divorced. Could of been worse if I had kids with her and I'm glad I didn't. The shocker was she got married 2 months later to the next guy victim. I will never make the same mistake twice!
Nice video. I was born and have lived in California most of my life. I hadn't driven the Big Sur coast until 2 years ago. It was beautiful. Few places to park because it is too steep. Also little access to the beach because it is too far down but the view is great.
Your video shots of Hwy 1 are stunning, Eric! I'm native Californian, have had different trips up/down the coast over the years, and lived in Santa Cruz. You do the beautiful scenery justice. Well done!!
That was so cool. You were in my neck of the woods whenever I visit my mom and dad in San Luis, Obispo. That is a beautiful town not to far from there. Also Morro Bay is beautiful and you are right near the Hearst Castle! I have years of pictures of that elephant seal spot. I have never been there when there are so many cars though.

Hey Eric, another awesome video, we are fairly new to TH-cam all together and I now watch it more then TV , Candace watches when I show her but loves it, anyway you are my favorite channel and have inspired me to live are dream and we are now full time RVer's for about 6 months now and have started a TH-cam channel. We are basiclly learning how to film and edit as we go but its mostly for fun and for are family and friends and new TH-cam friends can follow are adventures and mishaps. We are stuck in missouri until are house sells but will be heading west to Cali. to visit Candace's family there but will be in no hurry. We would love to meet up with you if we cross paths or even within a few hundred miles or so. Thanks for the awesome videos from "CampingwiththeKelly's"
+Tammy Jo Halbig it's hardly a rip off. It's there and offered a such and such a price, whether you buy it is up to you. I suspect these little Hooterville stores have overhead they try to make back. Not shopping at these places only takes a little planning ahead.

I have the exact same temp monitor and have ordered replacement sending units for it. In the last 2 years I have lost three of them, always leaving them outside then taking off with the camper only to find them missing at the destination :-\ Ron W.
Hey Eric, Trucker pro tip for you. If you plan to leave that overhead bunk opened up like that and continue to use it for storage, set up some cargo netting or hit up a Home Depot and have some 1x6 cut to put a ledge around it. It really sucks when your stuff starts to fall on you while driving.

Great video as usual! Thank you for the tips (high prices on hwy 101, full service @ gas stations in OR, etc). I'll be going to Oregon next year (driving from CA) and these tips are very helpful. Love the shorter intro, love the music, love the production, and love Jax. Just wish the videos were a little longer (I watch them while having breakfast) but I understand Eric needs to do other things and that editing videos takes a long time.

Have to agree, Eric.... the commercials definitely have nothing to do with the true spirit of Christmas. Much rather receive something very personal and heart felt then commercial, any day! Thanks for showing the seals, always a treat to see those kinds of things most of us don't get to see otherwise. We stayed at a city park in Lompoc just outside of Santa Maria and loved it...inexpensive and nice place with hawks, quail, rabbits, and a few foxes!! You would of had to go HWY 1 to get there though...maybe next time. Nice video's though.

The ocean was so blue in one spot, looked great for snorkeling but it does not seem to be any way to get down there. Bummer for sure. I guess a person could repel down that sheer drop off. Too bad you missed Big Sur but you got some great shots of the coast and especially the seals. You could tell that Jax was just itchin' to go exploring, LOL. At your current pace you'd be east of LA in another two to three days so Quartzsite by the 25th is still plenty do-able since there won't be so much to stop and look at once you hit the desert driving on I-10.
Eric, IMHO you missed the best part of Hwy. 1. It runs from Eureka to Bodega Bay (where "The Birds" Alfred Hitchcock was filmed) I would guess that 90+% is on the ocean and you get to cross the San Andreas fault just north of Point Arena, CA.
He should takes his time and find the best spots. He missed Big Sur aswell. He only got the rest of his life to film and no need to rush. Could film on the west coast 4 six months and still not see everything.
Beautiful video watching you on HWY 1 and being able to see the ocean. As for the diamonds and gold I'm happy yes I have bought my wife some nice things but nothing like some jewelry for 10,000-20,000 I got lucky with my wife its about the thought that's what she appreciates maybe thats why I have been with her for 27 years and I honestly Love her more Today then I did then
Did you stop by The Cookie Crock? (the grocery store in cambria) Did you look up and see all the Turkey Vultures? I love that town....and the Main Street Grill. MONSTER BURGER!!! My Mother in law still lives there. I need to go visit.
Some of the pricing is a bit steep at the roadside shops. I noticed that too. Los Osos is also a good little town too if you need supplies. People are friendly there.
Love your videos Eric. The way you talk about Olga makes me consider trading in my class A for a class C Tioga. Any chance you will be going through Indian on your journeys? Fleetwood headquarters is located just outside Fort Wane. I would enjoy watching some informative and opinionated videos on what you thought about the new coaches. Hell, if i was head of Fleetwood's marketing department, i would welcome you with open arms. Maybe even hand you a set of keys to a new Tioga. A 6 month long test drive with over 60K viewers must equate to quite a few Tioga's sold... Safe travels.
Oh, nice fix on the glare from the dashboard against the inside of the glass. Since you put that black fabric there on the dashboard, your dash cam videos have been wonderful.

Hi Eric, great trip, try to get to Pismo Beach then take hwy 1 thru Vandenburg AFB into Lompoc and visit the mission there, La Purisima, it will give you an idea of the missions in CA. Then stay on rte 246 to Solvang, wineries on the way and just beautiful country. Then hop on San Marcos Pass for the back way to Santa Barbara.
A lot of women seem to want to be able to show off, by showing off a big impressive ring and telling everyone what a great choice in provider they've made. One good way to gauge a woman is by taking a good look at her friends, if they're all about the material stuff and she's a follower you can be pretty sure of what you're getting into. Things are all messed up these days, the amount of single women 25-45 is astounding, most city women are always looking for the next, better provider, it's not until they get old that they realise they let one of the good guys go and then they have the temerity to ask where are all the good guys. We got fed up trying to please you and settled down with a woman who wasn't all about the material things and doesn't have a "me me me" attitude.
I disagree, my wife is awesome. She pulls in over $50k a year and purchased us a house, two Ford F250 Supercabs, one is a 4X4. Gave me a few grand to build a camper that slides into the bed of the trucks. It carries 6 kayaks and sleeps 5 at the camp site. Six Kayaks, two tents, full double set up of camping gear. I found her sleeping on some old ladies sofa after her POS husband beat her for three years. He slapped and pulled her hair and made her loose control of her can, she slid off into a ditch. He took her paycheck and got in a friends truck and rode off whit him leaver her in the ditch. One time when he was out of town working, his mother (His MOTHER) came by and asked her to go to church with her, so she was not alone so much. On Sunday, he showed up and the church and slapped the crap out of her and pulled her by her hair out of the church in the middle of the service. Nobody in the church intervened, they let him call her Bitch and slap her saying it was her fault that she was going to church to make him look like shit in front of all his Christian brothers and sisters, mom and dad. What a looser POS fake Christian he was. That's OK. she is my wife and I never hit her and only treat her with meekness and kindness. She is better than gold and Silver. I married her one week after we met and we have been together for over 26 years. That POS got payed back by God, his new wife, the first time he hit her, she went into the kitchen and got a cast iron frying pan and put his ass on the floor. She Bitch beat him and told him he would never treat her like he did the first one. My wife does not wear jewelry or even makeup. She is so freaking hot to me. We married when she was 19 and now she is almost 49 ans is one hot chick. Cherokee, Blackfoot and Irish. She works 5 days a week sometimes and I miss her when she goes to work and love all over her when she gets back home. We have lunch together because we miss each other so much. I retired when I was 30, because she was paying cash for everything and our house was payed off in like 10 years. We moved to the town she grew up and everyone who knew her fell in love with me, including that POS's own mother was glad she was married to such a wonderful kind and protective Godly man. There are awesome mates out there, you just have to wait for them to be shown to you. She was living on a sofa and had a cardboard box of clothes, and was working two jobs at the same time and was wearing no jewelry. What a freaking gold mine of beauty and generosity. All three of our kids went to college and earned two degrees each and my wife went to college with them. Our family is nothing like TV families. Our kids never fight or compete with each other. Our daughter hates makeup and jewelry.
+Jim Alsup that is really sad I know exactly what you are saying I do everything and yet I'm hated by my daughter never even yelled at her but that's ok in my heart I know I've always provided everything even college I'll take care of she is still my daughter and responsibility and that's why soon I'll be in a RV at least I'll travel and visit friends I grew up with feel a little free. No matter how we look at it its really sad when one of the parents turns the kids against the other parent, wow it doesn't make sense.

What's going on in Quartzsite at Christmas time? I believe the big show in Quartzsite comes in Feb. The big tent RV show is something every RV'r should see at least once.

About the $10 six pack, Gorda is off the grid believe it or not, the whole area between Big Sur and San Simeon is They have a small diesel generating plant and pay for the fuel with high local sales taxes. Gas is usually $7.00 or more. In the past the plant shut down at 10 PM and the locals had to switch to private generators.
You need to get yourself an inexpensive drone for your GoPro. That would add a new dimension to so of your amazing vistas you show us. You could fly around your camper, and show where you are from cliff side. It was just a thought. Could look very cool!
We drove down the coast from San Francisco to Morro Bay a few years ago... but sadly it was at night. Being a native I've been down Highway 1 many times, but wanted to share it with my wife who is from Ohio. She slept through the last half of the drive anyway... Oh, and good luck finding a bathroom in Cambria at 10pm! LOL The elephant seals in San Simeon were cool, but it was kinda creepy being there in an empty parking lot at night. They had fenced it off to keep the seals out but we could hear them barking and growling off in the darkness.
The reason there is no towns or any retail or cell service is because you've been driving through the Los Padres National forest for the last couple of days. You should seen all that area in green on your map.
I know how you feel about the price gouging. Years ago, we stopped at a shitty little town near the entrance to the Badlands national park. We stopped at a gas station for some film (This was before digital cameras). One roll of film was $10. In most places though, there's always a Target or something nearby. I would be miserable in an area where there are no real stores to go to.

At your current pace you'd be east of LA in another two to three days so Quartzsite by the 25th is still plenty do-able since there won't be so much to stop and look at once you hit the desert driving on I-10.

Eric, IMHO you missed the best part of Hwy. 1. It runs from Eureka to Bodega Bay (where "The Birds" Alfred Hitchcock was filmed) I would guess that 90+% is on the ocean and you get to cross the San Andreas fault just north of Point Arena, CA.
He should takes his time and find the best spots. He missed Big Sur aswell. He only got the rest of his life to film and no need to rush. Could film on the west coast 4 six months and still not see everything.

Some of the pricing is a bit steep at the roadside shops. I noticed that too. Los Osos is also a good little town too if you need supplies. People are friendly there.

Oh, nice fix on the glare from the dashboard against the inside of the glass. Since you put that black fabric there on the dashboard, your dash cam videos have been wonderful.

Hi Eric, great trip, try to get to Pismo Beach then take hwy 1 thru Vandenburg AFB into Lompoc and visit the mission there, La Purisima, it will give you an idea of the missions in CA. Then stay on rte 246 to Solvang, wineries on the way and just beautiful country. Then hop on San Marcos Pass for the back way to Santa Barbara.

A lot of women seem to want to be able to show off, by showing off a big impressive ring and telling everyone what a great choice in provider they've made. One good way to gauge a woman is by taking a good look at her friends, if they're all about the material stuff and she's a follower you can be pretty sure of what you're getting into. Things are all messed up these days, the amount of single women 25-45 is astounding, most city women are always looking for the next, better provider, it's not until they get old that they realise they let one of the good guys go and then they have the temerity to ask where are all the good guys. We got fed up trying to please you and settled down with a woman who wasn't all about the material things and doesn't have a "me me me" attitude.
I disagree, my wife is awesome. She pulls in over $50k a year and purchased us a house, two Ford F250 Supercabs, one is a 4X4. Gave me a few grand to build a camper that slides into the bed of the trucks. It carries 6 kayaks and sleeps 5 at the camp site. Six Kayaks, two tents, full double set up of camping gear.
I found her sleeping on some old ladies sofa after her POS husband beat her for three years. He slapped and pulled her hair and made her loose control of her can, she slid off into a ditch. He took her paycheck and got in a friends truck and rode off whit him leaver her in the ditch.
One time when he was out of town working, his mother (His MOTHER) came by and asked her to go to church with her, so she was not alone so much. On Sunday, he showed up and the church and slapped the crap out of her and pulled her by her hair out of the church in the middle of the service.
Nobody in the church intervened, they let him call her Bitch and slap her saying it was her fault that she was going to church to make him look like shit in front of all his Christian brothers and sisters, mom and dad.
What a looser POS fake Christian he was. That's OK. she is my wife and I never hit her and only treat her with meekness and kindness. She is better than gold and Silver. I married her one week after we met and we have been together for over 26 years.
That POS got payed back by God, his new wife, the first time he hit her, she went into the kitchen and got a cast iron frying pan and put his ass on the floor. She Bitch beat him and told him he would never treat her like he did the first one.
My wife does not wear jewelry or even makeup. She is so freaking hot to me. We married when she was 19 and now she is almost 49 ans is one hot chick. Cherokee, Blackfoot and Irish. She works 5 days a week sometimes and I miss her when she goes to work and love all over her when she gets back home. We have lunch together because we miss each other so much.
I retired when I was 30, because she was paying cash for everything and our house was payed off in like 10 years. We moved to the town she grew up and everyone who knew her fell in love with me, including that POS's own mother was glad she was married to such a wonderful kind and protective Godly man.
There are awesome mates out there, you just have to wait for them to be shown to you. She was living on a sofa and had a cardboard box of clothes, and was working two jobs at the same time and was wearing no jewelry. What a freaking gold mine of beauty and generosity.
All three of our kids went to college and earned two degrees each and my wife went to college with them. Our family is nothing like TV families. Our kids never fight or compete with each other. Our daughter hates makeup and jewelry.

About the $10 six pack, Gorda is off the grid believe it or not, the whole area between Big Sur and San Simeon is They have a small diesel generating plant and pay for the fuel with high local sales taxes. Gas is usually $7.00 or more. In the past the plant shut down at 10 PM and the locals had to switch to private generators.

We drove down the coast from San Francisco to Morro Bay a few years ago... but sadly it was at night. Being a native I've been down Highway 1 many times, but wanted to share it with my wife who is from Ohio. She slept through the last half of the drive anyway... Oh, and good luck finding a bathroom in Cambria at 10pm! LOL
The elephant seals in San Simeon were cool, but it was kinda creepy being there in an empty parking lot at night. They had fenced it off to keep the seals out but we could hear them barking and growling off in the darkness.

I know how you feel about the price gouging. Years ago, we stopped at a shitty little town near the entrance to the Badlands national park. We stopped at a gas station for some film (This was before digital cameras). One roll of film was $10. In most places though, there's always a Target or something nearby. I would be miserable in an area where there are no real stores to go to.
