If I was Kang, I’d use my influence over the multiverse to make it to where Miles, Penni, the other Peter, and Gwen were reincarnated in an isolated universe where they didn’t have to be Spider Man and could live peaceful, happy lives that they deserve. At some point, you can’t help but argue that it isn’t fair for that many people to suffer just so the multiverse keeps spinning. VEN#M is a suit made just like SP//dr, AKA the suit that Peni Parker is in. Basically, VEN#M was piloted by her friend but it went on a malfunction and ended up going on a rampage and absorbing Peni's friend and getting her Aunt May killed in the process.
While it can be seen as Penni not being enthusiastic to be imprisoning her friend to prevent him saving his fathers life, to comic readers there’s this additional context. I really appreciate that since it adds to the meta commentary of characters having to follow “canon”, whether that’s from a previous source material or just fan expectation. While I think she definitely could have had her canon event, I think by the end of the trilogy, the main message will be that no one’s story is written in stone.
