pretty sure it was even stated by an NBA official at one point. The NBA is actively not calling fouls on Curry because they are afraid he would break the game. If Curry had Jordan whistle can you imagine what his ppg would be? Coupled with his near perfect FT% ye he'd be averaging 40+

This is why I look at free throw merchants (Shai, Embiid, Harden, etc) with disdain. Oh yea, free throw connoisseurs also happen to be generational losers like 99% of the time. The prime example is the Lakers these last few years. They have like a +1000 ft differntial in total over these last 2 years. Adam Silver has been trying his best to make the Lakers win, and it's been fruitless.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was the greatest offensive weapon ever. He didn't need the pick-n-roll to be a scorer. He can find his shot anywhere anytime he wants. That's difficult to do...especially with his elite and dominant quickness and vertical elevation abilities for the fade-away.
I also love Stephs playing abilities, but truth is truth. MJ has the unfair advantage edge because of his height over Curry.

People forget, this dude is 36 years of age moving off-ball like this. You'd think he was 20 the way he works people off-ball, just cooking people without needing the ball in his hands.
He might be the best offensive point guard ever. Magic was great, but he wasn't this good off-ball.
You don't see this type of off-ball effort in the league anymore. Great to watch.

    • @arioca
      @arioca หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Magic was a pure point guard that could play and dominate all 5 positions (as he did) and was a much more complete all-around player. He was often banging for rebounds and guarding bigs down low, getting rebounds, steals and could score when needed in addition to distributing the ball with his court vision and elevating his teammates, not just himself. Having Magic on a team was practically like having a basketball coach on the field, he had a much higher basketball IQ and his teams were always a contender to win championships from high school to pro.

@@ariocawasn’t magic like 6’5 or something like that? I’ve never seen steph banging for rebounds, that’s not his job. His job is to facilitate the offense. Which he does an impeccable job at. Jesus Christ. Magic never drew that type of gravity towards him, where guys are literally double and triple teaming him at half court. I’ve sat pretty close to about 3 Warrior games versus the pacers and I have some recordings; NO ONE draws that type of gravity. So are we discussing stats or are we discussing IMPACT? Like you guys gotta make up your mind. Did the arenas open an hour early just so people could see a human being go through a basketball warmup? No. Did Magic Johnson have the away fans cheering him every single game? No. And I think because Magic was that height, a lot of people can’t relate. The average person isn’t above 6 feet. Steph is my neighbors height, and THAT makes kids BELIEVE they can do what he does. The entire NBA shoots 3s now, at all positions because Steph made the game so exciting to watch and play. Magic Johnson is a HOF no doubt. But come on my guy, it’s Steph curry. My mom knows who that is and she doesn’t give a f about a game i played as a child 🤣

Every single young guard should be forced by law to watch Steph Curry's movement off the ball specifically. Watching him at Davidson growing up never stop moving without the ball made me a 10 times better player offensively since I was also a shooter. This was also something my uncle (Tim Legler) would constantly reinforce with me whenever he would have time to teach me some tips on shooting etc. The way Curry plays the game is the textbook every single good young shooter should study. What doesn't get discussed nearly enough though imo is how insanely elite Steph's open court passing ability is imo he's the closest thing to pisol pete skill set wise we will ever see.

Warriors has always been an elite small ball team, u can’t beat them with small ball. Look at Celtics and thunder when they were trying to beat them with small ball. But warriors has always struggled when opponents got versatile bigs. I hope warriors get their 5th ring but this is an issue they will have to address going into the season.

People like to forget this but when KD was in Golden State all the defense was always keyed in on Steph at all times.
Nobody wasn't even looking at KD.
All they warriors need is for somebody/ anybody to ball out a little bit in that position KD plays.
Example Shaun Livingston, put some respek on Shaun name.
Iggy. Just ball out a little bit.
    Wiggins 👈
Wiggins got on warriors and went to the all-star game 🎯.
But before that LeBron was trading him and people called him a bust.
