You might be interested to know that the actor who played the lawyer who read the will to the family is Frank Oz. For decades, he has been the voice of Miss Piggy and Yoda.
I love this movie. So much fun, so entertaining, wonderful cast, pretty clever... one of the best surprises I had watching a random movie in the last few years. Can't wait for your Glass Onion watch!
The accent that Daniel Craig uses is straight out of southern Kentucky, along the border with Tennessee. According to several linguists, he did the accent perfectly and sounds like he came from that region of the US. The "CSI KFC" joke was thus dead on. Also, in reference to the fact that none of the Thrombey's knowing where Marta's family is from (Linda says Ecuador, Richard says Paraguay, Ransom says Brazil), while it is never mentioned in the dialogue of the movie itself, Marta is actually of Cuban heritage. Marta and her sister are both natural born Americans, having been born in Boston. Their mother and father (who is now deceased, another bit of trivia only mentioned in the script and not in the film) immigrated illegally and settled in Boston. Ironically, when Jacob calls Marta an anchor baby, he's absolutely correct. If an illegal alien comes to the US and has a child, they cannot be deported immediately because the child, as a naturally born US citizen, cannot be deported by law. Therefore, the illegal parent or parents are allowed to stay (if they are discovered at all), at least until the child grows to adulthood. Such children are called "anchor babies."
Anchor baby is not a term generally used in... let's say polite society. It's very much a derogatory term. It fits the character saying it, but I wouldn't call him using it correct in the same way I wouldn't say using r*t*rd is correct when describing someone with Down syndrome.
Also it was only after you commented on the whole movie where I heard you talkin I was like Oh! He's Scottish. I'm really bad at noticing US/UK/AUS accents.
He said in an interview that it was the hardest scene to shoot for him. I believe they hid some toys in his pockets so the dogs would swarm him like that. He definitely played with the dogs as soon as the camera was off.
Glad you enjoyed this fun and twisty movie Craig - stellar cast and so well made & written! Good catch of Marta being in the centre of the knives display during her interview as was Daniel Craig at the end too - so many meanings behind those visuals. P.S. they are Plantains not black bananas in Marta’s home kitchen with her Mother.
Nobody deserve the money more than she did his whole family was so awful they were robbing him and taking advantage of him. He gave everything to the one person who truly cared about him.

I knew he was Yoda. I didn’t know he was Miss Piggy
Mis remembering where Marta is from is an ongoing joke which highlights how superficial the families relationship with her really was.

That “Eat Shit” scene is hilarious

That was amazing btw, the way you were able to figure out what happened during a scene that doesn't even show that. 👏
I think you're the first reactor I've seen precisely guess so well

I hope we someday get to see Everything, Everywhere, All At Once on here too
One fun fact is that in real life Chris Evans LOVES dogs. I bet off camera he was playing with those dogs that 'hated' him.
