MrFelixBurns it‘s not about the buttons it‘s most importantly about the acoustics and monitors/sound! The knobs and fader are just a hardware version of the mixer in your daw!
There's uses for the equipment but for a lot of producers you can do everything you need easily in daw. I only really see mixing and mastering engineers occasionally use outboard gear

You don't even know how much Nick Mira has helped me on Internet Money. He covers everything, from the barebones of Mixing to advanced sound designing and mastering. at the time I started making beats, I didn't even know how to seperate channels.

If you know the scale of a song your 808s should never be out of tune with the beat. That's why yours was like that as well. Invest some time into learning about music, it's easy.

i feel like if you wanna go more complex with more than 2 melodies and stuff u should keep drums simple, and vice versa, because if u do both complex, it's probably gonna be too much
DreamChaser I agree, I mean, If I use a sample I made from scratch I will flip it until I get 2 or 3 variations to be changing back and forth, I always try to keep drums simple but hitting hard. Simplicity is what sells these days not complex shit, unless you plan to just post somewhere and not add any vocals to it.
