I have a hard time believing $50,000 was spent restoring it. Especially since it has lots of aftermarket parts. The real money and value in any collectable vintage Japanese bike is 100% Japanese OEM build. Whoever put this together, if thought went into it it was for personal enjoyment. Otherwise I would put a resale value on it at max. $20,000 regardless what owner claims to have spent. A good in-house rebuilder can achieve a NOS spot on restoration on this type of bike for around $8,000 when starting with a complete no rust bike. I've got a 1972 KH750 triple that I was going to go 100%OEM but decided I want a window maker to run around on. Hi end pipes with serious porting to match and Lectron carburetors should make me over 100 hp.
You have done such a good job of that build I like it
Beautiful collection but the modified Z1100 takes pride of place. In my opinion she does and deserves it too.
