Hey Doug my manz, take care of yourself. Most people don’t realize the little insidious bits that can come from a traumatic event. Even if you walk away from an accident and are completely fine physically the mental can be hard. Hoping you’re good to go, but if not be easy on yourself. It took me over a year to be good ❤️

I will say it was really nice seeing Doug play without making an unfortunate missplay/missclick very enjoyable episode
Hope Doug feels better, but I know he will because he just really built the strongest deck in this season thus far
As a suggestion, maybe take any legacy ban as a free craft of equal rarity in a secret pack you pull that episode. That would alleviate at least a little bit of the problems the legacy bans create by making super unappealing certain packs. I mean eldlich cards would still be unplayable but you can at least pray for that craft lol
For the case of Accesscode Talker there's still a good amount of Cyberse cards in pack
I like how doug rolls up with nearly constucted decks each week. When the crusadia pack was unlocked im like bro he has the kaijus all he needs is eqimax which is an sr. The rest of the crusadia stuff is n/r. he basically can get constructed going second crusadia/kaiju. The orcust stuff was just a bonus so were the URs.
Going into that i was like Imagine if doug pulled avramax MBT would shit.
I think MBT would’ve had a conniption fit if Doug pulled Avramax.
@@NickWuebkermbt would be RUINED if he pulled Avramax, since thanks to Doug's pulls he can probably sacrifice a week for the IP Masq pack to get an immortal card
And he pulled eqimax to open the pack! Honestly the only thing he really missed were the ultras both Girsu and Avramax would have been wild.
Personally I think the rule should be if you pull a legacy ban you can craft a card from the same pack of the same rarity
I agree. but then there’s DPE and Zeus which are not in any secret packs, so perhaps… “if you pull a legacy banned card, you can craft a card with same rarity from any secret packs you’ve opened” would be better…?
I do not see MBT being able to overcome this now. Doug has so many constructed decks. Doesn't he also have a few staple cards to?

@@TobikunOuO MBT can really just ban Galatea and it's ruin a really good line, but the Orcust and Crusadia engine are also just good in sealed.
Doug is legit doing TOSS format only missing thunderdragons and Skystriker.
That was a rough one for MBT. Having gone into it before, I will agree with Doug that the Crusadia/Orcust pack can be tricky to pull if your specifically looking for just one-half of the pack. I think the only way this could’ve been worse for MBT was if Doug had pulled Avramax. Gonna be an uphill battle for MBT next week, but I have a feeling he may already have something cooking for the next episode.
Not if he continues to get awful pulls and bad packs.

Reading Beargram... thats actually a hell of a card.
It carried me through LCS when I was playing insect pile recently. SO good, but its so hard to keep bugs in grave to use it for more than two or three turns...

@@hawkticus_history_corner in LCS? yeah. three things that happen often:
1. you drew a weird hand and cant fully start your engine; less materials in grave means you might not have enough to use Beargram for comboing *and* for board breaking or closing out the round
2. youve played through multiple interactions already and are low on resources before reaching beargram, so you have to choose between keeping followup (like a bug you can revive to cycle resources, goki or sting or similar) and summoning the big man to push for lethal
3; your opponent is on some infuriating One Bad Day type nonsense that hasnt topped so it hasnt gotten hit, but is still good enough to slow you down, so over the course of 5 turns or so you no longer have enough juice to summon him.
Gotta make it count.
most of these can be solved by good deckbuilding and smart play, two qualities i lack

Once again gonna suggest you can get a 1 time use structure deck from the shop as a lifeline instead of packs
Buy a structure deck. You must have 3+ consecutive losses to purchase this.
I am always rooting for the person that lost the last few episodes because I just want to watch a good series. But wow that deck from Doug is a monster (in the best way possible)

Yea this was just so one sided it wasn't even funny. Just seeing MBT trying his hardest only to meet the inevitable because Doug basically has constructed Crusadia Orcust with a Danger package.
MBT really needs to open some OP packs aside from what he got after this ep or Doug is just going to sweep him till the Orcust stuff goes away.

You can always know when doug wins or loses just from the front picture. Hand in eyes is a win and a soulles gaze into the darknes of the unholy waters is a loss.

Soooo Doug last week managed to pull half a constructed Danger Dark World deck, the only thing missing being all the BS extra deck cards. Now he’s just playing constructed orcust with two different competent engines being used to supplement rather filling it with non engine
I'm actually so happy to watch doug carefully take his time to execute his combo.
Kudos to Doug for learning his deck beforehand instead of on the fly. Channel points are safe this week
I thought Doug was missing out on not picking salads again, because they are a stronger deck than Orcust, but damn Orcust is very low rarity in this game and definetly a way way better choice in limited.

people HEAVILY overestimate what you need for both orcus and crusadia to be either a full deck or just a great engine in anything else. Almost everything is good, and nothing is neccessary (Id say Galatea is but even without her you can absolutely manage no problem)
Mind you, Doug now has Danger/Kaijus, Orcus, and F-ing Dark world, all decks that work wonderfully with each other

I think Doug's deck this week might be one of the strongest we've seen in Saga yet, holy cow.
The only one that comes to mind as better is his Drytron DPE build he stopped playing in S2 or 3 because it was literally too good

The first duel he could even have done the combo slightly better but the combos are not super easy (he could have not activated the first galatea so ding would get harp has a material, then after he he makes the 2 galatea he could have shofled back wand)

This season of master saga is the best it has ever been i feel like removing the deck of many things and changing the co hosts for saga and roulette put more fresh wind and energy to the tables the same for roulette the new extra rules also push the series i am always excited for the next episode

legacy banned cards idea: you can play them if you pull, but ONLY for the episode they're pulled in and ONLY if they're pulled from either the master pack OR master pack side of the secret packs. you can't craft copies to play or play any copies you pull from the secret pack side of their designated secret pack
after the episode, they are treated as gone, even if you pull another playable later in the season (ex: you can't run 2 golden lords if you master pack pull one in episode 3 and then in episode 12 pull another from the fabled secret pack or something. you'd only be allowed to play the fabled pack copy the second time)
if you decide to try this, I'll leave it up to you to decide if they should still at least be limited for this exception, but I'm personally of the opinion to just let them be played at the maximum possible allowed by the normal md banlist. not like people will be pulling multiple master pack golden lords or anything every other week anyways. if someone manages to lucksack that hard, then I say to just let them have their fun for the week

I think they need to pull more Master Packs, maybe 15 or 20. As they add more cards to the Master Pack, its harder and harder to find Secret Packs, and it feels like unless they're lucky they have a very limited selection a lot of times which doesn't feel super fun.
I agree maybe next season they can pull 20 instead and keep the secret to 15
Honestly no idea how Doug decides what packs he likes. The Orcust Crusadia pack is insane and its actually hard to pull badly from it even though they don't mesh together super well.
