That style of reading is actually very, very old and resembles the way of reading in the Prophets time a lot. The more commonly known Qira'ats have been heavily influenced by Persia and Byzantine

Any proof you got for this? I like hearing different types of recitations but never heard anything about this before

I would say repetition in terms of listening to it and trying to copy the tones little by little Alhamdulillah
