Just purchased the exact rifle. Your correct about the sling swivels. $60.00US. you have to purchase both pieces for each stud, the $60.00 is for two complete swivels. They can be switched to left or right hand side. Kind of disappointed they didn't come with the rifle but if they did the back pack version would probably be priced out of contention with the other Ruger PCC's. Like it otherwise...
@@pitcherthis6483 Thanks to JT a Glock or Ruger pistol is longer an option so I’d be thrilled to get a Canik or Beretta 92 magazine adapter. Select Shooting Supplies (Canada) has one for the Canik but it only fits the Ruger factory stock.
Bought my rifle over a year ago. Black MAGPUL stock was all that was available. Tomorrow a FDE like yours will be here and I can finally ditch the black rifle look. Connecticut is so sensitive 😑
As a fellow CT resident I feel your pain… I just purchased a PC9 earlier this week and I love it so far. I just purchased a Midwest industries MLOK rail/hand guard for it. I’m considering maybe getting this MAGPUL stock just for the stock portion to go with my MLOk
There are a couple of things you didn't comment on, or maybe I missed them. The charging handle and mag release can be set up for left and right-handed shooters. Also, the drop-in lets you use either Ruger SR series, Security 9 mags, or common Glock mags.
Thanks for the review, well done and to the point. I have a gen 1 sub-2000 and while it's fun, the charging handle position isn't good. I'm really considering one of these and you've nudged me a bit closer.
I just bought one with the Davidson exclusive fde barrel, the fde backpacker, fde 33rd mags, and just for funsies, a Monstrum Banshee 1-6 LPVO in fde. Meme gun? Sure. But its a fun to shoot gun, and all fde.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! I always wondered what those LPVO's were like. Must be fun. I know mine is accurate enough to put a magnified optic on it. 😃
Excellent review,👍 I subscribed and look forward to your content.👊 I have had the model 19122 for a few years now, it's the one with the AR style pistol grip & stock, as well as the forward M-Lok rail. I blame this gun for my "Lego gun" addiction. I am considering converting it to this stock for the portability, but I hate the idea of losing the bulk of the M-Lok rail.🤔 I also have a braced Ruger PC Charger and they compliment each other very well.👍 But now I am waiting on the 10mm LC Carbine to arrive, so I am holding off on the conversion until I get the LC Carbine to see how it works for me.😁
I was looking at one today. It feels like the stock is shorter than my original PC9. Thats great as it is to long for me. Does it breakdown the same as the original? Is it available in black? What is the model name? One last thing...does it use Glock mags?
Thanks for visiting the channel. It does break down the same, as I show in the video. It is available in black. It can use Glock mags, also shown in the video. Not sure of the model number, but it is called the Magpul PC Backpacker.
Ruger makes an 18 1/2" version for Canada. Otherwise it would be in the "restricted" category here, meaning mandatory registration and range-only use. Thanks, commie politicians.
Just ordered a PCC and was wondering, is the Magpul stock considered as a pistol style grip? It looks kind of in between. Reason I ask is because I live in one of those assault ban states.
I live in Canada, so don't take what I say as Gospel. But, I'm pretty sure you're good. Ruger website has a "State Compliant" version. If you ordered it online, the retailer shouldn't send it to you , unless it's legal in your state to own.
@@pitcherthis6483I bought the version with the m-lok rail, was planning on swapping the the stock half to the magpul stock while keeping the m-lok rail. I called magpul and they said they aren’t sure, but it’s not meant to be a pistol grip. 🤷♂️
Thanks for commenting! Yes, the FDE looks pretty good. I have other guns in the OD Green, so I thought I'd change it up for this purchase. One thing is that the FDE tends to get dirty fast. If you care about that sort of thing. This version is the 18.6" barrel, which is non-restricted in Canada. For now 🙄 I think the 16" barrel looks nicer and is plenty long.
@@pitcherthis6483 16" is probably all you need for 9mm anyway. Would be very interesting to see the velocity difference though between the 18.6 and 16.

@@briandavis4916It can be pronounced both ways. The fact that you appear to be so linear in thought as to believe that « carbine » can only be pronounced one way tells me that there is no way that you were in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 unit as those units require a deeper thought process that you seem not to be capable of. Thank you for your service.
Theres also storage inside the grip. Seems to be waterproof. Good place for some snacks. Or to store the Allen wrenches needed for disassembly.
I keep hard candy in there.

I managed to find one in grey, love it.
There’s talk of new inserts for more pistol mag options. I’m really hoping for a Canik adapter.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! I haven’t heard they were doing anymore magazine inserts. That’s pretty cool!
