Thanks I appreciate the compliment a lot of time and effort went into this build when the new setup hits the dyno it should set n52 records at least 600whp is what were shooting for I’ve made 600whp before but stock ring gap dosent play well with anything 14psi+ lol this is engine #3 so by now I have worked out a lot of the issues 🤷♂️
I am so happy to see someone finally giving the n52 some love with boost the n52 community praises you man! Seriously this is some hard work and dedication!
Honestly, out of everybody else no one doesn’t talk about what you need and what to do on a n52 and I do like the fact that you explained it what you need to connect the fuel line the vacuum hose and the sending unit but I wanna know is there a way you can show How you mount the intercooler in front and you need an oil cooler?
Yes I can go over the intercooler mounting in the next video I’m filming as I put the car back together. You don’t need an oil Cooler I don’t run one but I did buy one that I will be installing in the next few weeks before the first drift event of the season. I’ll make sure to make an install video on that as well. Also I may run meth injection this year so I’ll make a video on that explaining what it does and how you can run higher boost without gapping piston rings 👍.
Thanks man I’m filming it now just waiting in my buddy he’s remaking my exhaust manifold I pretty well blew it apart during “testing” 😂 so we’re making a stronger flange to go to the head so he has to remake the inlets the flange has on it so that’s taking a bit but Itill be worth it 🙌
Ide say supercharger is way easier to install because it’s bolt on and made to fit most turbo stuff you have to fabricate something like at the least you need oil feed and drain in a turbo superchargers don’t need that and you can keep a full stock exhaust if you supercharged turbo you need to swap the exhaust manifold and fabricate the Downpipes. But that being said turbos make more top end power and you can use boost controllers to get more boost whenever u want not like switching a supercharger pulley so there’s pros and cons for both. Also turbos lag at low rpm superchargers have the boost ready to go because it’s belt driven it’s always ready but a turbo comes alive in the top end
@@rumrunnersracing thanks for the information. And would you recommend a supercharger over a turbo for a daily driver? Because it sounds like its more reliable.
@@iaintcatchingnoell I always go turbo because I prefer the sound superchargers make a whining sound I don’t like it where as turbos make a jet like sound that I can’t get enough of 😆 so for a daily driver or a race car I go turbo every time. but if u can handle the supercharger whine it is an easier path to travel for install but I don’t know of any kits I’ve never actually used a supercharger I know They’re is a few good options out there
@@rumrunnersracingman youtube keeps deleting my comments for some reason but lemme get ur contact im tryna get the redneck turbokit off you for my e60 😂🙏🏻
Great info, thank you, and thanks for showing of the vacuum line!) You said that it is going to the place where the pcv calve was before - am I right that should connect the vacuum line just to the vacuum pump?
That connects to the intake manifold where I showed my vacuum bank connects on the backside of the intake and separates the intake manifold from the valve cover you don’t touch anything vac pump related it stays separate pretty sure it just goes from the vac pump to the brake booster that system is independent and u just leave it alone and work around it that’s for variable timing (vanos) and brake stuff it NEVER gets messed with or you will have engine issues.
I’m looking to do this to my bmw, but I have not been able to find a forum or anything containing a part list of good universal parts that fit in e90s. If you could either respond to this comment with a part list, brand, where you got it. That would be incredibly helpful.
Me and a friend of mine with the e39 are going to put together a rough parts list I will include in the next video I’m just waiting on my exhaust manifold from the fab shop before I put everything back together then I can make the last 2 videos in the series and will include links to the parts I use as I put them on and go over where I got what’s on there now. Thanks for watching I’ll make sure I get u all that info 👍
I would consider it if they sent me one I would gladly do some real world testing although this day and age no one really gives things for free and that manifold is pretty pricey. I have a wife 3 kids and a single income so when I can’t but I make. This one we remade to be stronger but I’m having lots of mounting issues that’s y part 3 of my video hasent been released lol
@@mauriziobossoli5200 it depends how much power you want to make I went overkill on fueling and engine management but you could toss a setup together for a few grand if you can make your own exhaust manifold and source some cheaper bigger injectors and aftermarket fuel pump

Because I invested 15k in developing a plug and play standalone for these cars plus 335i is a ton of upkeep and if u blow an engine it’s expensive af to find another one these engines are 500$ each at my local scrap yard and There’s a ton of them. So at this point I’m to far down the rabbit hole to climb out. So I’m going for the fastest n52 if I can break 600whp I’ll be the only one 😎
@rumrunnersracing that's true. I was just asking lol. I also have a n52 well. I guess it's technically a n51 it's a 328i but a SULEV. That leads me to another question. Can't I just do the 330i tune since I have a SULEV? I don't need to intake mani upgrade, correct? I'm not trying to make it super fast. It's my daily but I do want a little more power and just make it look nice
