      If I was one of the investors sitting in that room and convinced by Mark Speigler not to invest in Tesla at that time, I would be kicking myself for listening to him, but also wanting to kick the living shit out of him for such poor investing advice. Hopefully they didn’t pay to be in that room. That would be insult on injury

    December 26th I took possession of my 2025 Tesla Model 3 L.R. rear wheel drive (first Tesla). I drove from Mohegan Sun Ct. to Enfield Ct. Didn’t use the brakes not even once. I love my new car. It is next level amazing and especially after driving a 13 year old Veloster I also bought new in 2011. Yesterday I had my first supercharger experience where I loaded up with a free 41 kWh (curtesy of Tesla promotion). Wife and I decided to experience the 13.2.2 FSD (first time). We drove from one side of Enfield (suburban roads) to the other side and it was perfect (amazing for a new-be). We then on FSD, drove from Enfield Ct. to Winchester Ct. to my daughter’s house which took us over rt. 91 interstate highway, rt. 20 highway, rt. 219 highway, and a bunch of secondary roads. The ride was nearly perfect with one slight issue going from two lanes to one lane on rt. 20. It moved over to let a tailgating car behind start to pass to only take back the left lane as the right lane ended. That ride was 40 miles and nearly perfect (mixed driving) with mist and fog the whole way. After showing my daughter and skeptical son in-law the car (he loves is Tundra) we decided to take a ride. I spoke the address into the navigation and off we went with FSD toward Colebrook river lake. The 5 miles or so on FSD was perfect so we stopped and turned around. Replugged an address and the FSD thought there was an obstacle in the road at first so would not engage. It was just a large crack in the pavement. So I drove a bit past this and engaged FSD and off we went. We headed thru Colebrook Ct. southbound toward the Winsted center green and this is where we had our first intervention. At the town center green the road has two lanes. One for turning right and one for going straight or for turning left. As we approached the intersection we had a red light and a (no turn on red sign clearly visible). This is where FSD got tripped up. As we approached the light the car right signal light started to blink and the car started to go right to then quickly turn left (which was actually almost straight across). The car decided to continue to drive thru past the red light at this point. I had to use the brake firmly and suddenly to prevent the mistake. There was an oncoming car from the left so there could have been a collision or maybe the Tesla FSD would have crossed before the collision. We will never know for sure, but the car did miss the (no turn on red sign) and would have continued on. I have since turned all the analytics on so I hope this tricky intersection can be fixed for FSD quickly. I want to continue to support this great effort by Tesla to make cars much safer. FSD (supervised) is just that and we still need to be vigilant with using this powerful technology. Did I say I love my new Tesla yet? I absolutely do!!!

      Tesla has high amount of recalls primarily due to concerns about it's Autopilot system, which has been investigated by the NHSTA for potential safety issues, leading to large-scale recalls affecting NEARLY ALL Tesla vehicles sold in the U.S. *Concerns about its ability to properly detect obstacles and ensure driver attention, leading to potential accidents.*
      Maybe that could lead to killing people. You absolutely know about this, but you brush it off as a software update to change the color of interior lights, no big deal...

But the one topic that nobody is covering is what happens when the bots start to replace the jobs held by humans. Humanity is sent home to watch TV? How do humans earn money to live? Great accomplishment, brilliant !
    First year over year decrease in annual units sold and produced.
    I remember when Lars used to spend serious time estimating units, not anymore !
    Also over the past two years what happened to that prediction of over 2 million units for 2024; total EV sales are up for 2024.
    This is a fan site, nothing wrong with that. But if you need a serious critique, look elsewhere. Elon isn’t that brilliant genius, more like that mad, insane guy in a white lab coat.
    Really sad as Tesla had a good brand, vertically integrated and the infrastructure, and also we need EVs. Oh well.

    Well, Lars... To be fair, you must be critical too. The Roadster 2.0 project has become a joke at this point. Also, 2023 annual sales were about 1.8 million cars. How about 2024? Minimal increase in sales. Model S Plaid is getting old at this point. An updated, even more powerful version of S Plaid is needed to compete against Lucid Air Sapphire and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. Not to mention Xpeng and Zeekr which are very competitive against Tesla at this point...

    • @casperhansen826
      @casperhansen826 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Roadster 2.0 is the cherry on the top it will be made when they have some spare time
      2024 was explained to be a slow production year because of the Semi and Cybertruck ramp up.
      Tesla makes great cars but they don't make the best cars at any cost
      Every car brand is a competitor to Tesla no matter propulsion, you shouldn't buy a Tesla because it is electric but because it is a great car.

    • @zoransarin5411
      @zoransarin5411 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To be critical of your comment, you think Tesla is a car company. The value of Tesla has zero to do with whether they ever make a Roadster. There is talk that the Model S and X will be abandoned to build Robotaxis at the factory. They combined represent barely 10% of Tesla sales. So the Model S is about 5% and the Plaid would be 1.5%. So you think the focus should be on the 1.5% vehicle? Which sells in greater numbers, the Plaid or the Lucid?
      Finally, is it appropriate to be critical for external events beyond your control? The car market is cyclical as there are good and bad years affected by externalities. For 2024 that externality was a combination of very high inflation and ramping up of interest rates across the world. Most auto manufacturers were affected by the same set of events. So if Tesla can get close to 2023 numbers, that is more win than loss. Finally, a point you totally doesn’t seem to make is that the Tesla share price at the end of 2023 and start of 2024 was $248. By 22 January, after the Earnings call, it was at $209. So if Tesla is a car company as you seem to think they are, why is the current share price at $431, more than double? If Tesla listened to your advice, the share price would be closer to what Gordon Johnson predicts.
