You need to continue North and stop at Hersheypark, in Hershey, PA! Excellent park with great rollercoasters which opens for the season this weekend (April 2)!!!!
We were there the same day!My son was on Racer 75 when you were filming! Hard to miss his yellow hoodie . So cool Drove down from Phily. Love KD! Twisted Timbers is our favorite.
I rode the Grizzly when it was brand new! They used to have a train that went around the park and a skyliner that took you from one end to the other. They used to have a Yogi Bears cave as well.
The mushrooms and frogs used to sing, the skyliner station entrance was right there. As you stood there watching them sing the skyliners would come out the station over your head.
Saw in the comments you plan on coming to Ohio for cedar point!!! So exciting, it’s a blast. I’ve only been once but I go to Kings Island a ton since I’m only 45 minutes away. It’s so fun!!!
Boo Blasters used to be themed to Scooby-Doo. Park was once full of Hanna Barbera characters. I can still remember walking through Yogi's cave as a kid.
As a person who grew up with The Grizzly (literally, I’m 47), I was so glad to see you all as first timers give it so much love. It will forever be my favorite coaster, so it warms my heart to know that not only is it still there but also that it is still all wood and hasn’t been refurbished into a hybrid.
It has been so awesome seeing you go to Busch Gardens and then Kings Dominion. I live in Maryland and have been to both parks so many times. When Racer75 was Rebel Yell, 1 track went backwards. It was so fun! Your videos bring back so many great memories.
Glad you liked VA! Busch Gardens is definitely my preferred park over Kings Dominion. We grew up going to both, but BG has always been the superior park in my eyes. It reminds me of Epcot in a lot of ways. It has always been cleaner, has better themed attractions and is maintained better as well I think. However I do mis Dark Castle. Wish they would bring that back.
Disney is cool but it’s fun to see some different places outside of Florida. Kings Island is my home park and they have some really amazing coasters too if you’re doing Cedar Fair parks. You guys are always so fun to watch!
This is a Great place to have fun. Good for you. Enjoy. OOO MY Goodness Sam You went on that ride right after you ate oooo No. Thank You for sharing your vacation.
I went to King’s Dominion in 1988 with my High School Band! The only ride I remember being on (I was never a Coaster fan 😂) was the Old Cars! That was Thirty plus years ago! 😱 😂
Are you kidding me?? That's our home park. We would have loved to have met you! Glad you were available to visit. Come back when it's warmer or during a festival.
Great video. The funny thing is that Intimidator 305 is my favorite coaster in the park. Nice showing the ACE plaque. ACE, American Coaster Enthusiasts, is a great coaster club.
Yes we love our ACE friends! Been running into them at the openings of every coaster lately - Ice Breaker, Iron Gwazi, Pantheon. They’re always so nice and excited to be there. I even gave them a shout out in my Iron Gwazi vid!
If King's Dominion is anything like King's Island you sure had fun! LOVE the Cars, they have them at King's Island and I visited way back in 1975! Some more of these rides are at King's Island! So enjoy them. Finally, the weather there was one of the things that keep me in Florida! The winds sucks there.
Hi Jackie and Sam. Love the Road Trip Part 1 of 2022. With the Wind did You and Sam get to Fly a Kite. Thank you for Showing everyplace you have been to. Keep on having Fun.
Great footage of kings dominion ! I’ve always wanted a quality video for this park and you have provided!! I love this road trip you all are doing. Can’t wait to see where else you go!
Favorite lines 'A shaken not stirred situation.' and 'Most amount of boos in one sign.' 🤣🤣 Thanks so much for sharing and making my morning a little more fun. 🎉 So glad the weather cleared up for you. 💞 -Troy & Aimee
wow you guys rocked another video. I truly am enjoying these vlogs. I haven't been to king's dominion I'm years. Now I want to go again. love the content. keep going Jackie!!!
@@SuperEnthused awesome! I grew up in Ohio. My 2 home parks plus Carowinds in Charlotte. Once you hit CP you won’t look back! Especially if you love coasters! That Fast Lane plus there is worth the investment there. (Plus covers all the rides…regular excludes some of the bigger name attractions)
@@SuperEnthused It's my home park. Up there at cedar point all the time. Big fan of your channel and would love to run into you. The entertainment is really good also
I would do Cedar Point at Halloween (my fave time to make the trip over there) and consider Kennywood in Pittsburgh PA too if you get a chance. Its rated among the top for Halloween events. The park is smaller, but it has some classic wooden coasters (not wood-look, but actual wood), I think the only surviving Noah's Ark funhouse, and the newest coaster at Kennywood, Steel Curtain, is AMAZING (came off not knowing which way is up, but it was simultaneously such a smooth ride). If you do happen to swing up our way for the spooky season I recommend checking out Scarehouse too.
Being a Cedar Fair park it does have a bit of a Knott's vibe...and I guess apples instead of boysenberries! I'm getting to the point of not liking even easy roller coasters any more but still fun to watch you two!! Thanks for taking us along.
Great video! Our first and only trip to King's Dominion was in 2019 and we loved Twisted Timbers! We also enjoyed Dominator, I also enjoyed it way back when it was Batman knight flight in Ohio. Sarah did not like I305 it probably doesn't help that she got hit in the face by someone's hat. Did you know parts of the 1977 film Roller Coaster was filmed at the Park. I hope we get to visit again this year.
Oh my gosh if i got hit in the face by a hat on that ride, it woulda topped it off hahaha!! Oh yea we talked about that before going but then when I got there, I forgot all about it!
Thank You for taking us along with you and Sam Kings Dominion looks like a fun little park.. But there is no way in the world that I would ride that one ride..
I loved this video! KD is my home park & Racer 75 was my first roller coaster! We love going back year after year, riding the classics & checking out what's new. Thank you for filming it, and I hope you both liked it as much as I do!
Thank you for visiting our home park! It’s not usually that dead but the wind last weekend kept even us from going. Y’all should come back for Haunt and Winterfest, it’s soooo much fun.
Love this! My old home park. It was always a ghost town on Wednesdays, even in the summer. I went every Wednesday, because Wednesdays were my Saturdays. Season Passes were really affordable. I love the Grizzly and the Rebel Yell.
Carowinds will be holding the "Stateline Celebration" starting April 9th. Lots of area food and entertainment. Hopefully your journeys will allow a trip this way!
I haven’t been there in years , since we lived in the DC area. We always had a great time there. Thank you for sharing your adventure there. Have a blessed weekend. ❤️
Oh grand national and Big Dipper are my favourite coasters. Love the woodies. I can’t ride the new ones that go upside down they mess with my vertigo balance ☹️ I also love the vampire at chessington
Jackie my friend i am loving your Road Trip videos and i was surprise that Sam ride that Twisted Timbers and you know that i would never ride that thing lol anyway another great video Jackie you guys stay safe out there.
My kiddo is super excited now! We just saw that you actually did go to Kings Dominion! I’m going to save this and watch it with her tonight! We just love your videos!
We have watched your video twice! My daughter, Scarlett, got herself a little camera to do TH-cam videos like you. She’s kind of disappointed that you can’t record on the rides. She even bought the wrist strap like you had at the one park. We love watching your videos! You and Sam are awesome together! Kings Dominion is a great park but I knew when you were going back to ride the alien ride that you wouldn’t like it. That is the bomb in the fall when is it’s Halloween! One scary haunted house! I wish I could share my pics of how great that park is at Halloween! I’m glad he took one for the team and rode Tumbili because now I know I won’t when we go this month! Ha ha! It makes me sad that you didn’t get to go up the Eiffel tower because the view from up there is breathtaking. My parents took me there in 76 when it opened! Can’t wait to see where else your road trip takes you! Thank you! Ps Boo Blasters was A Scooby Doo dark ride originally! And you were definitely want the fast lane pass if you go to Cedar Point! We made that mistake last summer. The rides get to be an hour and a half long waits by afternoon.
I'm one of those crazy people that loves super intense coasters. I always tense up and white knuckle it, make it a challenge. I know not everyone will enjoy them though. Great video as always, Cedar Fair parks a great value
Grizzly was my first roller coaster ride ever, way back in, well. . . let's just say Grizzly was just a toddler. hehe Yes, it really does shake and move you, that's for sure! Happy Birthday, Grizzly!
My Wife and I live in Toano area right outside Williamsburg and after going to Busch Gardens all these years, we just got Season passes for Kings Dominion this past December, We loved their winter fest so much more then the Busch Gardens one! Really looking forward to a awesome year at Kings Dominion!
You guys HAVE to come up to Canada’s Wonderland. Super fun rides here with large wooden coasters and a fun/fast coaster that goes through the “mountain” there! A Great videos! Thanks!
LOL! "For the first time on this channel, I'm going to say it.. I hated it." Great video Jackie! So happy that you all had a such good time on this trip!
Wow! Thank you both for this vlog! I haven't thought about King's Dominion in forever! To be honest I didn't think it was still running. I remember going there a couple of times as a kid around 1979-80. Brought back so many memories, thank you!
It’s been so long since I’ve seen Kings dominion… a few of us had season passes when I was in the Navy and we went a couple times a month.. thanks for the Vlog. Also, pretty sure twisted Timbers was the Wayne’s World ride
Just wanted to add another thought about Cedar Pointe in Ohio, they have a stand up coaster and one of the highest drops of a coaster called the Millennium. Enjoyed watching this video.
I love your channel so much! I’ve never been to Virginia but it looks so fun, maybe someday I’ll get there. You guys are so cute together I’m glad you guys had so much fun! I always look forward to your next vids!☺️
This is the amusement park my family & I have gone to for years. My favorite coaster is the Dominator. Boo Blasters used to be themed to Scooby Doo! Racer 75 used to be called the Rebel Yell, & one of the coasters would run backwards. It was a blast! Glad you had a good time!
Thank you for showing Kings Dominion!! We haven’t been there for a few years. I used to LOVE Racer 75 (I think it used to be called Rebel Yell). I remember back in high school (1996), they would run one of the trains facing backwards and one facing the regular way, and of course “racer” them. I LOVED the backwards one better!!
Dang, barrel roll going down the hill on Twisted Timbers, looks so cool. Thanks to Sam riding the spinning one, that's a no for me as well. I loved Intimidator at Carowinds. Please go to Cedar Point, Maverick is the best. I hope to go there this summer. I enjoy your adventures.
Kings Dominion is a lot of fun. You should totally check it out at night. The International Street looks incredible at night. Also, Grizzly and Twisted Timbers are incredible at night. It's a shame that Volcano still isn't there. I'm curious to see how you like Cedar Point and Kings Island. Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures.

Oh wow...I feel they hit copy + paste on this location when having gone to Kings Island for over 30+ years.
And I'm jealous they're already open. I have to wait till Good Friday for Kings Island. 2 extra feet to the track on The Beast this year!

I was so sad last summer when it was closed. I even remember, and loved, the Haunted River ride that was in that mountain before Volcano!

That was my number favorite coaster. It was so smooth and the speed felt on launch was awesome!
Very first launch coaster! Unfortunately it just was impossible to do maintenance after awhile

Love your road trip videos! I Went to kings Dominion as a kid.
One of my favorite sounds is a roller coaster making its way up a climb and then the release of the drop. I love that.
Oh yes, Tommy, me too!! I loooove that sound!!

When I was in school at Georgetown we would make that trip from DC numerous times. Riding the Grizzly sure beat going to gross anatomy class.
Intimidator is rough, you have to either keep your eyes closed or have them open the whole time cause you will see spots on that drop
I couldn’t hold my eyes open bc the wind was so strong, it was pushing my eyes!
Loved the I hated Intimidator!! 🤣🤣 it's an intense one for sure!! Looking forward to riding Tumbili ..like Sam I at least have to ride it. ~Dawn
Yes Dawn you have to do it and I can't wait to see what you think of it haha!!
Whoa, that was so super intriguing and so fun to watch my dear friend :) so good :)
I would TOTALLY ride that coaster. Cool mix between coasters and fair rides!
