Carving a BIGFOOT -Chainsaw Carving

BIGFOOT has been sighted!
Welcome everyone, hope all is well. I have had this project in the works and was excited to get to work on it. I took a couple of weeks off from chainsaw carving and wanted to jump back in with this Bigfoot. Carving this big guy took some time and a lot of work but he came out awesome.

How do you do the furring look good mate? I can never get the furring to look good. Do you use the side of the chainsaw and how Deep do u go in?

Hey 👋. You will want to use the bottom side of the bar and hold it at a tilted angle. I did a lot of practice on spare pieces of logs to see what I liked. Everything will look sharp until you burn and sand it down with wire brush or something with sand paper, then it will look blended. I only go deeper in places I want to have more depth like on the head hair. Hope that helps a little.
