The dude at one point was worth 113M Euro. There’s a reason why that was. He’s proven now that he’s fit again to play especially in today’s game. It sucks to be Lunin but I’m sure he’ll understand. Carlo needs his best of the best players available to play and hopefully win the final.

The thing about lunin is people like me who watched him every week will know not the people who only saw him in UCL that his command of the box is really poor many times he comes out and get's no where near the ball and we have even conceded from those mistakes. Thibo on the other hand is superb rarely makes those kind of mistakes he's tall and reads the set pieces very well. Plus the way lunin conceded the sane goal on near post Thibo would've never. I love lunin I'll always appreciate what he has done but surely Thibo should start people are really forgetting his performance in the final. He been beast since coming back also.

@@vraj8531 silva caught the whole team sleeping it was in the roof of the net way out of the reach. Mbappe goal was way low than what sane's goal if you watch it again its desirable height and length for any keeper. He didn't need to dive very low or jump high he could've simply saved it with his arm. His reflexes were slow but it's not that big of a deal everyone once gets caught out but the other point made happened a lot of time this season.
I remember sane’s goal in the first leg, Courtois would’ve never allowed that.
I feel bad for Lunin but football is like this, there’s always someone better than you, Courtois time will come too where he will be replaced when his form drops due to age.

Courtois got all cleansheet after he return and you see he make many good save there... Its hard choice because UCL is different and Lunin maybe more comfortable for now as he already played it in recent games. But talk about skill, pretty sure Courtouis is step ahead him.

I actually was saying Lunin should continue but after seeing Curtois looking this sharp i have to agree with him. Even though Lunin as been amazing they are areas he still needs strengthening in I estimate he would be a wonderful number 1 when curtois retires if we can keep him. This situation is like the lsco and Bale during 2017 ucl Cardiff. Isco after running around all season playing his a** off while Bale was injured then he comes back and suddenly all the media wants him to start over Isco. Thank God for Zidane and his man management he handled it very well and continued with Isco, Carlo should do the same, Lunin has been great all season there's no reason not to keep faith in him plus it will do him good, while also helping the club keep him. Because let's face even with the new contract renewal many teams want him now and if anyone bids for him even if Real declines if he can sniff more playing with higher wages, he will ask to leave, he already has a couple ucl trophies. well, i really do not know medical side of it, but if courtois is truly fit and ready to go by the june, he should definetely start. like, there is no doubt about who is better. i really like lunin, his composure and his ability to control emotions, seriously, i have never seen him get angry or overly happy or sad or exited, he is one cold mf and i mean it in the best way possible, but courtois is still better my man. unfortunately, it's not even close, alright. we can't let emotions overshadow objectively better, results oriented decision and after all, winning is THE ONLY THING that matters.

Football and life general is not about deserving or feelings, reality is harsher and the fact is that even if Lunin took Real Madrid to the final at the end of the day Courtois is by far the better keeper and should start in the final. It can't be about feelings because whoever doesn't start will feel bad and from an objective point of view Courtois is just better. Lunin literally conceded 4 goals the other day and Courtois has the experience of starting in 2 finals already. I do recognize the quandary that Carlo Ancelotti is in now to decide which goalkeeper will play on June 1st at the UEFA Championship Final match at Wembley Stadium in London.
This is a very difficult decision.
The replacement goalie, Andriy Lunin, has been just fantastic and is playing very solidly.
Our regular goalie, Thibaut Courtois, got injured last September and was out for a long time. He just got healthy and has played the last 4 matches like a solid wall and has not allowed any goals.
Both goalies have been super fantastic and very reliable.
But .... if it were up to me to decide I will pick Lunin as he carried this team for most of the season.
But..... Carlo cannot make a mistake by picking either goalie as both goalies are just great and will help Real Madrid win our 15th CL silver trophy.
