This is whilst I have to work on a rota that runs 24/7 365 days a year which often means I have to work all or a combination of weekends, nights, Christmas days and nights, New year days and nights. On 12 hour shifts. Over the last 19 years I think I've had the luxury of having 3 Christmases off completely. All for £30k per year! It shows how out of touch Starmer is with the working man. Before anyone says anything about "well get a better job then". The job I have is already about the best paid job in the northern town I live in. The only 9-5 jobs in the town are things like shelf stacking for about £20k per year. There are no high paid, professional office jobs here paying £40k or £50k per year to do an eight hour a day, four day a week job.
Starmer has a Jewish wife and kids and they all go to the synagogue on Saturdays, the Jewish sabbath. He wants Friday evening off as they have dinner at home and prayers. This is why his family keep a very low profile. He doesn't want it commonly known they are Jewish.

This is whilst I have to work on a rota that runs 24/7 365 days a year which often means I have to work all or a combination of weekends, nights, Christmas days and nights, New year days and nights. On 12 hour shifts. Over the last 19 years I think I've had the luxury of having 3 Christmases off completely. All for £30k per year!
It shows how out of touch Starmer is with the working man.
Before anyone says anything about "well get a better job then". The job I have is already about the best paid job in the northern town I live in. The only 9-5 jobs in the town are things like shelf stacking for about £20k per year. There are no high paid, professional office jobs here paying £40k or £50k per year to do an eight hour a day, four day a week job.

Starmer has a Jewish wife and kids and they all go to the synagogue on Saturdays, the Jewish sabbath. He wants Friday evening off as they have dinner at home and prayers. This is why his family keep a very low profile. He doesn't want it commonly known they are Jewish.
