- In this video we will be exploring the former home of the iconic British architect Sir John Soane. The museum contains Soane’s extensive collection of treasures that he acquired over his lifetime.
It was established as a museum through a private Act of Parliament in 1833, a lengthy process aimed at disinheriting his estranged son and transferring the house along with its collection to the care of a board of trustees after his death in 1837.
Soane’s wish was for the house to be preserved unchanged and made accessible to the public, serving as a place for inspiration and education.
Today, the museum continues to serve as a place for education and inspiration, offering spaces for events related to creative disciplines and showcasing temporary exhibitions.

My favorite museum ever🔥💙💙
Beautifully made with a touch of personal sensibility. I'd like to see more displays in a next one, like when the wholes museum seems to double the number of its shelves. So much passion from Sir Soane and we can feel it, thank you
Thanks for watching and for your comment. Happy you enjoyed it and I’ve taken a note about the displays.
Wish I could go there. Stunningly beautiful.❤
