I mean I just walked around Home Depot for an hour and figured it out! Just need some sort of platform or wood, right angle brackets, some way to mount them and skate wheels with spacers - nuts or regular spacers and bolts. I just pulled all my hardware from a set of skates. Oh and pvc pipe for the rails.
Made my first one of these 11 years ago when I was 16 years old...easy and work well..I used lightweight aluminum pipe instead of PVC because PVC after a while started to warp..
Bro this is so sick! I’m sure you know this but Home Depot sells EMT which is very similar to speed rail if you ever need something that can go longer and doesn’t have to sit on the ground
@@spensersakurai really?? hahaha that's hilarious! well done then, it must have been very challenging but you nailed it. Do you think that when you operate it normally it looks good? (like no wobble, micro-jitters?) I am hestitating between buying a Dana Dolly and building it myself
Hey Spencer! Do you have a material/parts list?

@@spensersakurai Thank you!!! I must try this haha!
I have had an uncompleted one on my workbench in the garage for three years. Might be time to finish it. You have inspired me Spenser.
Nice one. Built myself a "shitdolly" for my first short film, inspired by David F. Sandberg
It's wild how effective a slow, smooth push in/out can be. Nice stuff man :)
Thats's what she said . :-P
Been watching since you started and this channel is still so, so underrated. Looking forward to the day you cross 1M subs.
We built the exact same one a few years back for a short film haha, works so well !!
the dolly shot is worth a million bucks man. damn. i was blown away how pretty it looked when you added the grade and the letterbox.
The intro is fantastic. I would've thought to buying a gimbal, but this is nice DIY solution.
works like a charm!
You are brilliant
Spenser this is freaking gold👊🏼 Much love from East Tennessee🙏🏼
Just love this kind of videos man! ❤️❤️

Watching you build things with your fingers so close to the slipping zone of that screwdrivers fills me with sooooo much anxiety
Wish you would have added the dolly materials in the description😢
Why? ... he added all of that in the video
This is sick dude! So easy to make but so professional-looking in camera!
Woah, man. Woah. I will emulate this.
predicted this so sqsp ad so hard! didn’t get disappointed haha!

What's the podcast you were listening to in the car?
Good. podcast
DOPE
Sorry about your finger. Looks like the squeeze was worth the juice. Very cool
it looks like you still used stabilisation in post, I can see some wobble at 6:04
I guess that's the limits of the DIY stuff
Well its cuz i was operating it while filming myself haha

What camera did you shoot this with? There is autofocus at 3:10. Can't be the BMPCC

You, sir, have basically built a skateboard. Well...sort of. This one is less loud.
Welcome to 2008!
is there any possible to cooperate with you?
I'm not a handyman to build my own so I'll just buy one..
