I’m a tech at Detroit , go with the new motor, the warranty will be worth it. We just had a reman we put in break a crank and ruin the block, no questions asked we are putting another motor in it.
After watching the latest video, & hearing the 3 options, & having gone to diesel mechanic school (pre-computer days,) the best sounding option I would choose, is the $16,000.00 choice, because like you guys were saying, it has the best warranty, &, it’s also all brand new, and you also already have the accessories to put on, plus, it would be the most efficient way to go, especially with time not being on your side! Plus, you also already have the work waiting for the truck, this is my best opinion of your options. May God Bless all your efforts!
The 16K isn't brand new. That's the 400K mile motor that his dad was asking what it came out of. Did it come out of a wreck or what. I'd still go with that one as it's the most complete so don't have to jack around for another day putting accessories on and such. @@chriskulpa4056 no that is the 12k motor, the 16k motor is the new long block with NO accessories on it. One thing I know to be a fact, you will make it through this and in less than 2 months you gonna be back bigger and better rockn and rolling! Thank you so much Tim for explaining that. I am one of the guys that questioned that a couple videos back. I did not think that seemed right for them to be asking for my social security number so I backed out of it immediately. I knew it wasn't you doing that. 👍🏼 I'll get money to you somehow without somebody else stealing it first. Love all of you and I still pray for you to get thru this. You do a very excellent job at staying positive and keeping your chin up.
Gotta be honest Tim, I'm surprised you didn't have a service truck before. It's gonna be a game changer for you, being able to go mobile with your servicing and breakdowns for y'all. Being able to do big jobs including motor swaps as needed OTR will save you $'000s in the long run. Good for you seeing the potential.
Tim, you and your family and extended family are a true inspiration. I have been a devoted fan with you for years and have never been disappointed. You asked what we would recommend on the Coronado, I think you answered your own question on this video. Installing a warranted engine virtually complete, gets you back up and running with no issues. The truck and driver will be turning miles into dollars right away. You have to risk a little to get stronger, you and your team have proved through adversity. Just my two cents from your Cranbrook, BC Canada fan. I would love for my wife and I to come to Sweetwater to meet you folks this year, if you would not mind. All the best and are prayers are with you.
16k for just the new block, seems steep. How much for all the extra little bits to fully rebuild it. Probably add another 10k onto that, making it 26k. Maybe better off buying the new one after all. Probably not going to save much with just the block. But I myself and I'm guessing the majority of the posters don't know anything about this kinda thing anyway tbf. I'm sure you guys will go with the best option. You guys are the pro's after all.
Good call out on the scammers Tim. I love your channel. I used to be a driver myself, now I'm wrenching on these trucks and trailers. I wish the best for you and your family. Oh and btw..... That light on your dash on the service truck is an emissions light. My old man had a truck with the same light on. Hope that helps.
I hope you were able to read my message. The only thing I'm curious about is the emissions light comment. A piece of electrical tape works wonders. Lol
hey Tim good to see everyone smiling and pushing on threw this hard time and making alot of progress thats awsome , i would go for a brand new motor if i knew it could be payed of in a month , but at the end of the day it is entirly your choise and im sure the followers and fans will be happy for you and the family
That trucks pretty awesome your tools are in sets and you can tell now if you've lost one or left something out of it. that way you know where your tools are and what is left out good job stay safe GOD Bless👍
Tim always remember that God has a plan and he takes care of his own put faith in him and you will be fine sending love and prayers with positive thoughts and vibes
Tim I think i would go with the brand new long block but if the used one is better right now go for it the way I look at it is you and dad need to do what's best for you at this time
I think you should do the $30k Detroit. As you have mentioned, you lost multiple spare parts. If you go the Detroit route, it puts spare parts in your inventory. Consider the cost of all the spare parts you would end up with that you would not need for the new Detroit. Plus the warranty, no matter where you are, you can get it worked on and it is covered-for the next 3 years. Seems like the best option on the table at this point since you know that it will make back the investment in a month.
I would go with the new or the 16,000 one. Already got messed up with the last deal with the Pete. Really don't know what's wrong with the 12,000 one, but I bought stuff what worked just fine thinking it was sketchy. If you can make the money fast with the new one, go for it. The 16,000 one will have money left over to fix other stuff for now. Hope this helped. Have a great day.
Hi Tim I don’t normally do this, but I going to try Electronics is not my strong point!!! I have been watching your videos for a long time and I think you are a great man and Braxton & your dad, I love you and your family.Unfortunately for me I lossed my parents wen I was 14. I am jealous & wish I could have a family like yours, take care of yourselfs. Bye Glen
Tim it's great to seeing it all come together..the Lord looks after his own..stay ever faithful and see his power in action. Continued prayers for your family and business know in my heart it will all come to pass in his time.😇👌🇺🇸🔧🚜👍
Glad to see the crane on the service truck be so useful, now youbjust need a large ag tent to pull trucks etc into for work. The new engine would cost more now but in the long run cost less especially since reliability is more important now without a place to do an inframe overhaul efficiently. It would be a shame to have to tear-down the truck in a yr or so to rebuild an engine
Go with the new engine it is the most logical way to go with having the security of the warranty. You have a great family and friends behind you. You will get thru just fine and even better. Everything happens for a.reason. God bless and keep pushing forward.

You know what, everyone is entitled to thier opinion... Ok sure don't buy... great! But do you realize the very attitude you have is the reason The Biden Regime is able to push out it's propaganda the way it does. Self responsability is one thing, but have you ever heard of "Love thy Neighbor" Empathy for someone is Free. You don't have to send money to be effective in supporting a cause you believe in. DIctator Trudeau was wrong - but does your belief constitute the better side of a wrong argument. Two wrongs don't change anything but the offended. Just cause you see wrong in one place don't mean the average joe has to proclaim that wrong is in every situation at Large. Man do the right thing and Love thy Neighbor. As a Fellow TH-camr, I kinda take that personally. I don't sell anything, but If I ever fall on a hard spell, the first thing I do is turn to the "Good Word" just like Tim does. The hole shop and gas station had smoke damage etc. He almost sign the papers with Insurance company lucky for him he got a second opinion and got a independent adjuster they came in did a complete inventory. Let’s just say he was pleasantly shocked!!! With the outcome. Rich
Go complete engine. That’s money in the bank with the nation wide warranty. Plus with a complete you’ll have a drop in and go. And you’ll know what your Runnin with. Make her run another Million. Love ya all and your doin great Bro!
Keep pushing on Gentry family you will succeed with leaps and bounds when family works as a team.
Love the channel 👍
Mr Gentry,
It is great to see you guys working together as a family. That’s awesome and motivation for us. Thank you sir for sharing your story.
Tim, being only 32, you're incredible to have built everything you have so far. Keep pressing on! You got this!
He would be nobody without his dad
So would everybody what's your point .... did you have a Dad ??
@@williamdennissmith6695 Point is, he is not incredible to have built everything. He didn’t build anything, his dad was
@@Nonameniko yes his dad has did it and now he is starting to bum people out of money and put on a guilt trip
Go with the 16,000 dollar engine.
Assessories will not cost 14,000 dollars
Keep your chin up, better days ahead.
Keep working as a family, it is a wonderful support team.
I'm so sorry to hear and see what you have lost and I am also happy to see you getting over the fire moving on and staying positive I commend you for that
New OEM Detroit long block. The Detroit warranty alone will give you piece of mind just like insurance.
We’re praying for y’all Tim.🙏I’m so happy to see y’all laughing and smiling again. I’ve been through what you all are going through at the moment and brother it really upset me to see you drive up to your shop on fire. I felt like throwing up and got a knot in my stomach seeing it and you saying (man everything I own is in there) a person just can not comprehend that moment unless you’ve been there. One thing I know to be a fact, you will make it through this and in less than 2 months you gonna be back bigger and better rockn and rolling! I cannot wait to see all the good things coming your way y’all deserve every last bit of it we love you take care
Tim make sure you are not giving any money back to a scammer. They work both sides of the scam. Praying everyday for you and your family.
I see you guys out in a field pulling a engine. The first thing I noticed is even though times are hard I still see smiling people! You’re tough as nails man!! Good luck my man.
So proud for you guys had the world ripped out from under ur feet and u guys are still standing fighting hard u deserve the best god bless u tim and family
Yeahhhhh buddy, awesome!! Side note: received my two shirts today and these are AWESOME!! Thanks.
That’s a good spot to building a shop Tim 💪🏽
Nice to see the service truck put to good use and your a truly uplifting person
Gittin er done. Way to go fellas. Buying the service truck was a very smart decision.👍👍
Love the progress Tim. I would go with the 16k Detroit with warranty. This way you're sure you are protected in everyway
@@anthonydenn4345 are you blind or what he have extra from this engine only missing turbo
@@letecitanjir2039 Well if that's the case and most of what's needed is there, yea why not. I did say, I didn't know 🙂
even the dogs are helping with the job
Good call out on the scammers Tim. I love your channel. I used to be a driver myself, now I'm wrenching on these trucks and trailers. I wish the best for you and your family. Oh and btw..... That light on your dash on the service truck is an emissions light. My old man had a truck with the same light on. Hope that helps.
I hope you were able to read my message. The only thing I'm curious about is the emissions light comment. A piece of electrical tape works wonders. Lol
Glad to see Brax is back and feeling better. I think going with the brand-new engine would be the best call.
I glad things are getting better with you and your family you are still in my thoughts and prayers hope things keep getting better
16 g motor you KNOW EXACTLY what your getting.
Plus all the benefits, you can't beat the deal. TAKE THE LEAP , GET IT N GO. 👌😉👍💯
Love seeing the service truck come together for you guys too👍🍻
Yep they did me the same way! They knew all about you!
hey Tim good to see everyone smiling and pushing on threw this hard time and making alot of progress thats awsome , i would go for a brand new motor if i knew it could be payed of in a month , but at the end of the day it is entirly your choise and im sure the followers and fans will be happy for you and the family
Glad to see you guys are doing good! We still are praying 🙏 for you !
Warranty means a lot it’s a big expense up front but would save you money in the long run to get it serviced anywhere at a Detroit dealer
Another thought. Be sure the scammed aren't the scammers. God bless!
Tim I think i would go with the brand new long block but if the used one is better right now go for it the way I look at it is you and dad need to do what's best for you at this time
Right back at it. That's the way you do it. My kind of people.
He said it's a 1 year warranty.. if I heard right..
@@denisteets0818 the 30k fully built motor is a 3 year warranty. The 1 year warranty was the used Detroit with 400k miles on it
That service truck was a really good investment. You can restart your entire business with that truck alone. Nice.
Good to see you all moving toward a goal. Glad the service truck crane met your expectations. Blessings.
I'm glad Braxton is feeling better, 3 generations working together is pretty cool
Bye Glen
God Bless that Gentleman and his wife, Good people like them are what make this world a better place.
Proud of your work Sir! Keep your head up and let us watch ya get the shop back up and rolling eventually!
At first I thought you lost this rig. Good to see that she's getting back on the road
Tim it's great to seeing it all come together..the Lord looks after his own..stay ever faithful and see his power in action. Continued prayers for your family and business know in my heart it will all come to pass in his time.😇👌🇺🇸🔧🚜👍
@𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐞👉@TimmyGentry scumbag scammer - reported
Drove a Western Star 671 Detroit concrete truck for years. I miss the raw sound of good old detroit iron.
Go with the new engine it is the most logical way to go with having the security of the warranty. You have a great family and friends behind you. You will get thru just fine and even better. Everything happens for a.reason. God bless and keep pushing forward.
The way he maintains his fleet it is worth more than 20 grand to him so putting 30 grand in it is worth it in the long run.
What are you jealous all you ever have to say is negative. Maybe nobody wants to hear it. There is far more people that likes what he does.
Evidently he thinks it is worth fixing. What experience do you have with those types of trucks? Have you personally seen the condition the truck is in.
Detroit warranty at any Detroit dealer is the way I would go . Service truck is Cool , I worked out of one for 10 years . Loved it .
The scams are not on you Tim, to be honest it is beyond a joke that google has allowed it to happen for so long on every channel on youtube. The fact that you have been making people whole speaks volumes about you
To my opinion the scams is really obvious I can't believe people fall for it.
I'm just scared for Tim that the scammer will pretend that they have been scamed so Tim is forced to give them money
Any organization that is going to give money to criminal organizations, that are burning and looting our nation, you think they gonna take care of this issue? NO!
He real scam is his wife starting a go fund me a couple hours after the fire when they have money and insurance
@@snipezilla69 BUSINESS insurance chief ;) Not property insurance, and insurance companies are the biggest scum out there, they don't cover ANYTHING even if the policy says it does. They know taking you to court with THEIR lawyers for 10 years isn't possible for you and so they tell you to FUCK OFF the second you make a claim that "isn't profitable" for them. Side note, kinda weird that you are keyboard warrioring the comments for youtube videos? is Tim living rent free in your head?
@@Muffin_Masher hey did you see how old my videos are? Like from way back in the day lmfao.
I feel the crang will not have a problem picking up the engine!!!
Prayers and thoughts go out to Braxton
It’s good to brackstan learning hands on work experience at a young age
Tim I am so happy for you and your family. The service truck looks like it's going to be lots of help.
God bless you and your family gods love is reaching you with every donation you and your family deserve after the tragedy of the fire love from England
Question Will the 16K motor be covered anywhere you haul? Or would you have to tow it back home , If it broke down? You already know the 30K motor will be under warranty at any Detroit dealer
The 16k motor is a brand new from Detroit just not complete (comes with 3 year nation wide), the complete one is 30k and the used engine was 12k!
Great videos. Amazing that you have time to keep putting out videos.
Are sure you are the one not getting scammed
My 1st thoughts too.
I know money is tight but the new long block makes the most sense more work now pays off in long run.
I just can't grasp how someone can fall for these scams. They are beyond obvious I just don't get it.
I can't believe you used Go Fund Me after that company ripped off all the folks, including me, who donated to Canadian Truckers. They stole all that money Tim. Its your responsibility to fund your company, and like any company, if you need to downsize, do so. You've spent a lot of money over the last couple years while on this channel, and on trucks that are not cost effective and on toys that weren't necessary. Now it's time for others to bail you out. That's the harsh truth Tim. Maybe it would be more responsible to save. I was a subscriber and I bought your merchandise. No more.
Just a thought, you tubers that post videos three times a week or more have to keep after getting stuff to make content. I believe Tim is selling some things off too. That deal in Canada happened because of a little dicktator. Pretty sure he coerced Go FundMe........stick around F350
He's a REAL LEADER, and you could serve to learn a thing or two from his life lesson in this great channel he's made. Smarten up dude... It's just another day in the life. Now #ThatsTruckin
Tim your family is super amazing. All hands and deck GNS to the world
My experience over the last 50 yrs in the trucking business is. When money is tight go for the used complete engine as long as there is history on it put it to work and save as much down time as possible. The Lord has an eye on your family and business and will help you make good sound decisions. Praying for you all every day.
problem is most drivers don’t wanna drive older trucks, been driving since 1991 love the new trucks!
Braxton is so mechanically inclined for his age!
Get your dad an awning please Tim!! I got one he can have but I'm a little ways away. God Bless y'all and I'm tickled for y'all!! Great to see Braxton back in action!! He's gonna be the best crane operator on the team!!
Now you need an adjustable spreader bar to help level out those engines 👍👍
