Wow, what an adventure! Despite the challenges with dogfish, it sounds like you made the most out of a beautiful day on the water. The calm weather must have made for a serene atmosphere, perfect for enjoying lunch and taking in the surroundings. Even though the big catch eluded you this time, catching that small bass on feathers was definitely a highlight. It goes to show that fishing always holds surprises, regardless of the conditions. Yeah exactly that, soon as the nice weather comes we get all excited but sometimes the fish do not play ball. Going out again today to the needles… and I’ve heard there’s been some mackerel caught 👀😍 thanks for your comment 😊
I assume that was Saturday, it was quite rough in the afternoon over in Mudeford, it was a SW wind blowing straight in. Over by the island, you were sheltered
It was unreal out there. Like you said shame about the fishing. Back out today to try for some mackerel, I’ve heard a few are about around my area now 👀😃

Lovely day, nice to see the Needles! Helicopter is coastguard, if you look at it's underneath it says SAR (search and rescue). Nice video.
